My partner Anita Hiller, who is 83 years old was using Greyhound for the first time. At the Sacramento bus station waiting for the connection to San Diego, CA. She got on the bus connection and as it was pulling out saw what she saw was her boxes. She told the driver about it. He ignored her and drove on. She has never received them. Their drivers are the worst, I was on Highway 12 on Friday, July 26th when this driver was very aggressive to me and other drivers as well as changing lanes several occasions without signals. He got up to my window after that and he used his middle finger to me several times. This is unacceptable for a driver who has to be responsible and reliable. Are their drivers properly trained? More like Stock-done, because I'm done with this city after 3 different creepy things that happened to me here. Or 4 things perhaps? You already know Greyhound. But did you know they also have cheap package services which you can use, which are pretty awesome. That's how I got my musical instruments up here when I was performing. Stockton Regional Transit Center is where the Greyhound bus station is located in Stockton which is at 421 East Weber. Not the safest city in my experiences, much like Fresno and Modesto. It's a flat building with big white lettering for Greyhound purposes, and they're going to be building a smaller version of it in the future because they don't really get much service anymore. read more

greyhound bus lines used to be a great alternative to traveling on a plane or train however you would think that anything that has stood the test of time would at least have got better. Well in this case I would have to say that I would not suggest for anyone young or old to travel this way because it's not safe since they have several stops and layovers in not-so-safe towns. If you do decide to book a seat with them make sure to check all the stops they have and where their layovers are sometimes 5 hours long. I would also suggest bringing some snacks with you because at some stops you won't be able to get off. if you are sending someone anyone on the bus you need to make sure that they have a phone since most of the delays or info relating to the trip will come on the phone. plus its the only way you will have communication since most of their terminals arent open after 5pm and if you decide to change time you want to leave do it way before the 15 min prior or you wil lose out on a full refund thats if you can get a hold of anyone and if you are lucky to get help they are not local they are overseas somewhere. or you get some 3rd party company that books you like here in stockton which diane in the office in stockton said they couldnt do any thing to change the time when i asked for her supervisor she refuse to give me that info. this is the worst customer service. I'm not sure if its only the Stockton Greyhound who has this terrible service, but regardless it represents Greyhound company who has offered the worst service we could have experienced. I purchased a ticket for a Saturday 09/10/2022 at 11:30pm we waited from 11:00 to 12:10pm I called customer service turned out the bus was actually cancelled, I never received any notices no emails informing this inconvenience from Greyhound. I rescheduled for Sunday 09/11/22 and long story short had to reschedule for the second time for Monday 09/13/2022 really I'm left with not many optionsGreyhound does not care of there customers. Greyhound does not deserve NOT EVEN ONE STAR. Plan your trip I do not recommend for you to purchase a ticket for the weekend I wasted my time and it was just a very stressful weekend for me dealing with this problem. read more

In an emergency situation, being pregnant and having no extra time I had to park very briefly in the rtd area. I was told politely by a female employee I couldn't park there and immediately entered my vechicle as quickly as possible to exit. As I am leaving a Male employee stops me unnecessarily to speak to me in an incredibly condescending malicious manner even after I tell him I am clearly exiting. My pregnancy is high risk and I did not appreciate being treated that way, no one should be treated that way. read more

Greyhound is pretty much the cheapest way to get from Point A to Point B. Dirt cheap. I'd buy online to get the best deals, by the way. The review isn't about Greyhound itself, but the location. Went here because Sacramento didn't have any tickets. The Stockton branch is alright. The building itself is kind of run down, and the parking lot is an awkward circle you just kind of guess at. There's not actually a lot of seating, at least as not as much as I thought there would be. Also, it's Stockton. So you can expect to find questionable people here from time to time. Witnessed a bum buy some paraphernalia outside the building and walk into a busy intersection within 30 seconds. So there's that. read more

This station is pretty dark and abandoned at night. I typically take the 11:25pm bus out and it's a bit scary to sit in a dark parking lot with homeless people milling about. There always seems to be at least a few other people waiting so you won't be all alone. No restroom while you wait. You could walk 2 blocks to the gas station/McDonalds where the homeless congregate but be prepared for the panhandling. Stockton seems like it was once a beautiful city. I hope it emerges from its bankruptcy and gets better. read more

What a sad station. I understand that the city is currently broke and going through a Chapter 9 Bankrupt process, but this station is just not a welcoming site to visitors. I am a former resident of Stockton and as far as I can remember the front of the building has been closed and rerouted for rear access only. It's quite odd that the opportunity to create a more transparent and efficient building were tossed in the trash when the knuckle-heads made the decision to close the front area. As someone here commented, the seating is limited but I've never really seen it packed to where one couldn't find a seat with empty chairs to comfortably space yourself from others. There are almost never lines to the front desk/cashier. There are no auto-mated ticket kiosks (yet) but I'm guessing since a major station like Los Angeles has barely added their own electronic kiosks that things at Greyhound happen slower than an aging slug. Sadly, the Stockton terminal (one of the major transfer/stop terminals and also one of the larger stations in California) is actually quite stunning from an architectural standpoint minus the clumsy design details added on later. The use of space inside is not efficient at all and though their is not a restaurant inside there certainly is enough space for a small Subway or other deli shop indoors. So much unused space. Then we have in my opinion, the biggest disservice from the company who has operated at this location for many years: the mound of forgotten and unsightly green-less patch of land that fronts the busy main street of the station and is the last sight many see before leaving the city. HELLO Greyhound...HELLO City of Stockton! What do both of you stand for? Trashy? Dilapidated? Don't ask why people continue to have a bad aftertaste when leaving Greyhound Stockton if you can't even plant a damn tree in the damn dirt on the damn corner of the damn busy intersection! Pheeeww! Sorry, this has bothered me for a long time. I still have love for my old hometown and still ride the very affordable and pleasant buses that Greyhound now operate, but these concerns need to be dealt with pronto or you might end up like Amtrak. P.S. I am still confused why this large station cannot stay open in the winter time when it often get's down to freezing temps in this city. Horrible experience, website has photo of old station with different address, no sign stating they moved to another location. The new station is the RTD station has a tiny 8x8 sign with Grayhound on it, if you check RTDs website they have no information regarding Grayhound. Never msde it to Santa Anna and we have roundtrip tickets, out monies for bus fare and lost money on event we akreafy oaid for. Grayhound refuses to refund our tickets, one of the worst businesses, they get a Zero review!! If not for the homeless man that asked us what we were doing there we would still be wsinting on that bus. We arrived at the station at 3:50 am and waited until 6:30 am unfortunately we were at the wrong station. Today, 3/29/18, the Greyhound Bus Station transitioned from the old site on center street to a loading area on California Street across the street from the Stockton Transit Center. Unfortunately, the transition seemed to be pretty unorganized. Most people who had bought tickets prior to the transition were never informed of the change in location (hey, Greyhound you have our emails and cell #s remember). So they showed up at the wrong place and had to find transportation to the new spot. The new spot has no benches or sun/rain protection. You are literally just standing out on the street. The bus to Sacramento was two hours late. But no one from Greyhound came out to inform our little crews of riders (12 people or so) of this fact. Finally, one of the "I wonder where my bus is" riders went into the transit center and got this information. We all reconvened at the stated two hours later time and the bus still didn't show up. It turned out that the Greyhound bus driver went to the old station, dropped people off, and just kept driving on to Sacramento ---leaving us stranded there (even after the onsite person from Greyhound had contacted Greyhound to tell them we were all waiting there) Eventually, Greyhound had to send another Bus from Sacramento to Stockton to come pick us up and take us to Sacramento. Scheduled pickup time 10:45 AM.....real pickup time 3:05 PM. Our new bus driver (who had to drive from Sacto to Stockton to come get us--not the original one who stranded us)-- said he was driving home when they called him back. Look I understand that a transition has flaws.....but this one pretty much showed a complete and close to total lack of organization. Very sad. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted by Greyhound. I bought a ticket from Stockton to Anaheim (departs at 12:05AM, I REPEAT 12:05 A. M.) and had it for will-call, but what they didn't tell me in the confirmation email was that this Greyhound SPECIFICALLY in STOCKTON, CA has NO self-service kiosk whatsoever, so as a result I went to the station not being able to pick up my ticket because the station was closed and there was no one working to help me get my physical copy of the ticket. Me and two other customers were all in the same boat where we did not have the hard physical ticket, but we do have the confirmation email and ETicket, but the bus driver STILL WOULD NOT let us in the bus. And this isn't even the worse part. He REFUSED to look at our confirmation emails and ETickets. He was in a rush to get rid of us. I asked him why he couldn't take our ETicket and Confirmation code, but to my disappointment he could not explain to me and the two as to why we were not being let into a bus that we purchased a ticket for. I asked him what could I do? What was I supposed to do in this situation? And he started to explain that I could go to the ticket booth when the station opens in the morning and. Are you wondering why I didn't finish the sentence? THAT'S BECAUSE THAT IS ALL HE TOLD ME. He was in such a hurry to get everyone who had a physical copy of the ticket that after he was done boarding them he stopped in the middle of his sentence to board the bus and leave. I understand that he is doing his job and making sure everyone gets onto the bus and that they are on schedule, but he was treating us like we were harassing him when we were just trying to understand why he wouldn't let us on the bus. He treated us like we were going to fight him and sneak onto the bus, but NO ACTIONS WHATSOEVER did me or the other two customers take to make it appropriate for him to treat us in such a way. I am extremely offended. I am stranded at this bus station and he couldn't even tell me what I could do in this situation all because he was afraid. But again, no one was being aggressive or was physically threatening. When you are serving customers you're not supposed to be afraid of them and wish to get rid of them you are supposed to want to help and provide the best service for your customers as much as possible, but not with this company evidently. I bought a ticket for this bus and have the confirmation email and ETicket and EVERYTHING EXCEPT my physical hard copy of the ticket BECAUSE STOCKTON DOES NOT HAVE SELF-SERVICE KIOSKS for me to print out my ticket since the station is closed AND I WAS REJECTED FROM ENTERING THE BUS WITH MY VALIDATION EMAIL OF MY PURCHASE OF THE TICKET. The fact that the bus driver did not care to explain to me about what I could do in this situation is appalling. This was my first time riding the Greyhound with Stockton and to be overlooked and treated in such a way, especially when it is 12:05AM on a Sunday, specifically April 2, 2017 at 12:05AM, I don't know what could've happened to me if my sister did not stay with me at the station in case I wasn't allowed on the bus without a physical hard copy (which was exactly what happened). My phone was at 3% and I was hoping to charge it once I got in the bus, but that wasn't an option anymore. The service I received disgusts me. I really wanted to give Greyhound a shot, but considering the type of treatment I received and witnessed, I am better off paying more for a flight ticket than suffering this kind of torture of a treatment and service for 8+ hours. Here are some feedback I would like for Greyhound to implement because I don't want other customers to have to go through what I've been through although I'm pretty sure I'm not the first and I won't be the last (I have little hope for Greyhound, but practice makes perfect, so I will voice my suggestions for hopefully a better experience for both parties). 1) Please inform your customer if the station they are departing from does not have Self-Service Kiosks in the confirmation email. In doing so, the customer(s) will know in advance if they want to pick up during hours or self-print. I was not informed of Stockton's absence of self-service kiosks and so I went to the station not being able to obtain my physical hard copy because the station was already closed. I'm sure I am not the only one who has had this happen to them before, so PLEASE make the experience for all parties better by YOU as a company KNOWING which of your stations have and do not have kiosks. 2)PLEASE get self-service kiosks to ALL of your Greyhound stations because if you are going to provide rides at a time where no one is working a self-service kiosk should be available for your customers. In doing so you will prevent unfortunate situations like these, thus resulting in both parties receiving the service they want, which means less complaints and more happy customers. STAY AWAY! I REPEAT STAY AWAY FROM ANY GREYHOUND! Expect to be get delays between 4-8 hours! Always short on staff so you end up riding to someone else's route! And they leave you too! So unprofessional, I had to miss work because it took me 3 delays during my trip and it took me almost the whole day. What a waste of time waiting esp in a shitty environment. STAY AWAY! If I can give this bus service no starts I will. I came to drop off friends that came up from LA and it's completely unsafe. The bus was supposed to be here at 12:00am and we waited a whole our outside in a poorly lit parking lot. No security! No one inside building. Many homeless people walking in and out of parking lot . There were teens in parking lot fighting. This is a sorry excuse of a bus station. At this rate I was better off driving up to Sacramento airport. I would give 0 stars if possible. I would never recommend to take the greyhound especially from this station. Last night, thanksgiving eve, my boyfriend and I were left stranded for 2 hours. Our bus was scheduled to depart at 12:05am to Los Angeles, we arrived at 11pm to a closed station and people just waiting in their cars. A few buses arrived between 11-12 however we were told by one of the bus drivers that came and headed in a different direction, that our bus would be arriving late. It came at 12:20am but of course, by the time we were about to board the bus, the bus driver told us there were no more seats. What. The. F!!!!! He also told us there was another bus that was on time which had more seats because apparently there were two buses for this schedule. At no time were we ever told that there were two buses and the entire time we were waiting outside and no bus drivers said they were our schedule # with destination going to la so how could we miss the first bus?! And how were there no seats left!! The bus driver then gave us a number to call which he instructed us to call and ask where the second bus was because he had no idea. The number was for the direct contact to customer service in Sacramento for greyhound and the only customer service available apparently. The person on the other line was named Mike, the most useless customer service operator ever. He didn't know where the bus was, he kept telling us "it should be coming." He told us that we did not miss the second bus. My boyfriend and I called him multiple times between 12-2am to ask if he was absolutely sure we did not miss the other bus. Mike starts yelling at us over the phone every time we try to make sure we did not miss the bus or the bus is still coming. And let me remind you we were waiting in the cold, 30 degree weather, downtown Stockton, outside of the station, on thanksgiving eve. There were homeless people coming up to us and asking for money or food & eventually left us alone because we gave away all the snacks and spare change we had. By 2:30am, I've lost my patience. My hands and knees were shaking, I couldn't even hold my phone because I was literally shaking from the cold. The greyhound bus tracker online didn't say there were any buses coming and it looked like any buses that were on the map were well past Stockton. Mike again as useless as the last time we called him he said "I have no idea where the buses are." I asked him if there were any trackers on the bus and he said no. What the f!!&@:38$:!!! By this time (2:30am) we finally made our conclusion that no buses were coming for us, there were no ubers or lyfts available & waiting for the next bus to la was absolutely not worth it given the lack of customer service. Luckily, one of my friends was out at Denny's in Stockton and offered to pick us up. We ended up booking a flight from Sacramento to Los Angeles on thanksgiving morning instead. Greyhound, you are a complete waste of time and your employees drown your reputation deeper into the gutters. Thanks for nothing. I will be filing an official complaint. Bottom line of this story, DON'T EVER TAKE THIS GREYHOUND LINE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE STRANDED IN THE COLD FOR HOURS WITH ONLY THE HOMELESS AROUND AND STUPID CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATORS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LINE WHO ARE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. On a side note, going through this awful experience humbled me as I caught a glimpse of how homeless people freeze their butts off on the streets with little or nothing to eat and nowhere to go. I don't know where that other reviewer gets his tickets. None of the other drivers helped find out what was happening and were rude. It took until 3 AM to get info for a 12 AM bus. Had to wait for the next bus at 430 AM and arrive 9 hours late. Really! No refund and no discount. No wonder they have a 1 star rating with the Better Business Bureau. Santa Cruz to San Francisco. 6/13/18. 2:50pm boarding. Well I arrived. There was a window in the transit center for Greyhound. It was marked closed , but I found a man to ask. He checked and said bus would be 3 hours late. I said ok I will come back. He said no; I must stay and stand or find a bench outside by the stop because the bus could come anytime. I saw the metro bus to San Jose about to leave. I got on to go to the San jOse train station and take Caltrain to SF. I called Greyhound from the bus. Yes bus is late maybe 2.5 hours. My ticket is on refundable. She can not help but she would transfer me. Have a nice day. The transfer never happened. I called Greyhound from home the next day. One person could not help. Hang up and call again and have a nice day. The second person could not help but would transfer me and have a nice day. 12 minutes waiting on line. I hung up. I tried chat. Sorry they can not help but have a nice day. If you plan to travel this route, do not buy a ticket in advance. read more

Be very careful when booking on their website. My company is stuck with a $232 charge because the "Origin" location defaults to your actual location, similar to Uber. If you don't change the origin manually you could be paying for a ticket from a totally different origin than expected, as we did. And, of course, the ticket will turn out to be non-refundable (and the off-shore customer service rep was more than happy to tell me this). Review your ticket very, very closely before buying and do NOT mindlessly check the box indicating you have read the Terms and Conditions until you actually have. If you make a mistake they will NOT fix a simple error and they will NOT refund your money. They just don't care. read more

The building is old and the AC wasn't working during dead summer :( BUT there was a young gentleman working there (don't remember his name) who said he was from Richmond Virginia. My sister bought a online not knowing the station closed after 12:30 am. We came to the bus station and there were tremendous commotion outside where it's not safe to stay by the door. Observering Thad the station is closed we stayed by the police station across the street waiting for the bus. We came back a couple of time and the station still have no sign of open or any bus coming. When we notice the bus arrived, they just did an quick pick up and leave. Did not give us enough time to board and took off. The bus left 10 minutes prior to take off schedule. We contacted the customer service and was told to call back at 5:00am and nothing can be done at the moment. The next bus schedule for pick up is at 6:30 so we had to pay for another tickets go reserved a seating. Comes 5:00 o'clock, we contact customer service again, and was told they can't help us and the only option is to be pay additional for another tickets for future date. I asked for a refund because I already bought the tickets and will not need to pay additional for another tickets for future date as I do not need a tickets at the moment. I was told, I can't get my money back and that was end of story, they can't do anything else. No canceling of the tickets I just bought and reschedule for the next route out. This is the worst service I have ever get from greyhound. I used them for a lot of traveling, but I'm having second thought of another transportation services in the future. If anyone wants to traveling out of Stockton ca, do not use this station or better yet, do not trust greyhound as your transportation service. You will not be consider a value customer and will be treated like garbage. Many family and friends will be notify and will be ask to no longer use greyhound. read more

Everyone be ware of Greyhound Bus Lines for your elderly family. Uncle bought a round trip ticket and he had fallen somewhere between L.A. and Stockton. I did not feel good about him going back home on bus so I am driving him home. Called Greyhound to get refund for him from Stockton to L.A. Be careful of the misleading prices. Went to buy my son a ticket to get from Sacramento to Stockton. Online said $14 only 55 minutes. But once you go to pay suddenly it's $36 dollars more than it advertised due to admin fees. Beware. The bus drivers will refuse to allow you to ride the bus- even if you have a confirmation number. They left my disabled friend there in freezing february weather at almost 11:30 p.m. and told her she had to wait until the station opened in the morning, despite her having a confirmation number for the bus ride. We had a departure time of 5:35 am. Arrived at 5:22am just as two busses were leaving. Waited until 6:26am and decided to drive to Sacramento in hopes of catching our bus there. Luckily we arrived with just 5 minutes to spare. While we were waiting in Stockton we tried to call the station in Stockton as the doors were not open... no answer. We tried to call the station in Sac.... no answer and no help whatsoever on 800 number. It never occurred to me that the busses would leave a stop early. Even our city lines don't do that! Have to wait to see if i get a refund for that portion of the trip, but it doesn't sound promising. Local office said their records show that the busses left on "schedule". Attendant in Sac said they have gps on bus and that they are not supposed to leave early. Sounds to me like i will have to get them to check the gps, then, if i can get refund at all I will be waiting 4 to 6 weeks! read more
