Greyhound has poor customer service. They cannot help you after canceling your trip. They don't accommodate you if they cancel your trip or if something goes wrong. Terrible service. Terrible workers. If you have any sort of other transportation, I would advise you to take it. Anything but Greyhound services. My girlfriend and I planned to leave Sunday night, from Milwaukee, to get back to Chicago. We were scheduled to leave the same night. We arrived at the station around 6:15pm for our 8:05pm bus. We figured getting there earlier is always better. We hoped for an announcement and waited until 8:00pm to see what was the status of the bus. Turns out that the bus was delayed until 10:45pm. There was NO announcement made, there was ONE worker at the desk who left every 2-3 minutes and ate and drank at the front desk which he worked, and on top of that we had to reschedule our departure time for the following morning with no compensation. Although you may be enticed to save a few bucks and opt into the greyhound, do yourself a favor and don't do it. Take the Amtrak, Megabus, or even walk and you will have a better experience. Our bus was 3+ hours delayed where you were forced to watch bow wow on TV while eating vending machine sandwiches. I managed to consume $15 in snacks with the delay that I would have spent on an on-time Amtrak. Simply awful. I often take the midnight bus from Milwaukee back to Minneapolis so that I am able to sleep en route and still make it to work in the AM. This is the second time in less than two months that sed bus has flat out been canceled and there is NO ONE from Greyhound here to fix the issue. They leave security guards here who work for the facility (not for any of the bus/train companies) and have no way of giving anyone any valid answers as to what is going on, as they are not informed themselves! Also, the WiFi is awful and will never allow you to connect. The lone bright spot is that the customer service is amazing here to fix the problems. The Caucasian gentleman and African-American woman that work are awesome. They are always understanding and will give you whatever ticket you want as a replacement, but that still doesn't make it right. I have had to use two personal days from work in as many months due to Greyhound's error, not mine. Long story short, the midnight bus is unbelievably unreliable and undependable. Therefore, I will be driving or taking the Megabus from here on out. read more

The only problem with this combination Greyhound, Amtrak and Megabus stop is that there aren't any pimps, or hoes here. The place is clearly not meeting my expectations. Having said that, the waiting room here is nicer than those in most airports. Much more roomy, clean-enough bathrooms, a little food shop, plenty of vending machines, and... What's this? Free wi-fi? And the Greyhound tickets have gotten mighty cheap, since Megabus started eating Greyhound's lunch. When Megabus came to town, the dog wasn't racing on too full a belly, but now that they've become cheap, they're giving Megabus a run for its money. I still prefer the Megabus, but with only two trips to Chicago per day, I usually don't take it. If this station ever goes retro, maybe we'll see the pimps and hoes again. I bought a ticket and made a mistake . I thought my bus would be leaving at 7am, but it was actually for 7pm. I called to change my ticket to an earlier time and was told they only had 7pm departures. I then asked for a refund or a credit to use in the future. I was told no refunds and I would need to change my ticket for immediately for another day. I couldn't do that either so I am out the money I paid for my ticket. read more

Twice now I've tried to take the bus from Milwaukee to somewhere else, twice I've paid for the bus, twice the bus was delayed by hours (but not technically "canceled" so no refund). Unpredictable things happen, but if one operates a fleet of buses, I would think it would be prudent to have back up vehicles available in the busiest locations. I also think that if there's a delay of more than an hour, an announcement should be made by someone articulate and fluent in at least Standard American English, with the authority to issue refunds. I've had less trouble with better English announcements in India. It's just not a viable travel choice, take the Amtrak, rent a car, carpool, or travel in your head by reading a book. Don't bother with Greyhound out of Milwaukee. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect on my first ride on Greyhound. I was travelling from MKE to Green Bay and encountered about a 2 hour delay due to some technical malfunctions in Chicago. Ok - Whatever - I could roll with it. The bus was clean, the seats were relatively comfortable and reclined, each row had an electric outlet to charge your electronics and they have onboard WIFI! Not too shabby. My trip was about 3 hours once on the bus - I can't imagine travelling too much longer than that without getting uncomfortable though. read more

I've been to the majority of greyhound stations in the U.S. This is by far the best. Basically, the station is clean, the staff treats you like your an actual person and is even helpful if you have a problem or question. Anyone who's ever "gone greyhound" knows how rare these services are for the dirty dog. A usual greyhound trip consists of being herded from a vomit soaked station onto a spilt soda covered bus with 5-40 of the craziest people you've ever seen by someone who assumes you need to be spoken to as though you are the bad kid in kindergarten. I have to admit, I was pretty scared about going to Milwaukee via Greyhound... you always hear crazy stuff about shady dealings on Greyhound. To my surprise, it really wasn't bad. Traveling by Greyhound was pretty straightforward--go to the station, give your ticket, get on the bus. We were traveling pretty lightly (just back packs) so we didn't have to worry about "checking-in" or anything like that. The bus going to MKE was pretty empty so we were able to spread out a bit... each chair was clean (scent free!) and had outlets for charging our phones or whatever. The driver encouraged quiet (thank goodness!) so it was a pretty easy cruise. The drive back to Chicago was very similar but the bus had more people... again, really straight forward though and we had a comfortable trip. I understand the train is a little better (slightly faster, fewer shady characters, whatever) but for $14 roundtrip, I can't complain! read more

This is by far the cleanest Greyhound station I have seen. There is plenty of seats for both Greyhound and Amtrak customers since they share the space. There are TVs and vending machines. Their restrooms are cleaner than most public restrooms. I appreciate the free wifi and the power outlets for charging. FYI, you need to come early to stay in line before boarding. There are no reserved seats even with a ticket. Also, round trip tickets to Chicago is between $12-20 depending on the time of departure and when bought online. read more

The only thing I liked was the station. Had taken a trip down to texas. Had to take an earlier bus to Chicago since my original one was canceled. Got to Chicago and I was to be there till around 9pm but the bus was behind so had to stay until midnight so I was there for over 6 hrs. The buses were over crowded and I had to sit on a box in the back by the toilet because I'm a bigger guy and the guy I was sitting next to in the seat was a bit of a bigger guy and it wasn't comfortable sitting on the seat belt. So I was 6 hrs behind from when I was to arrive. On the way home one driver was rude hollering to tell no one to call the cops or do drugs because they might shoot him since he was an African American. read more

I used Greyhound this past week on Tuesday. Now I've used greyhound services in the past and I know that sometimes they make you put tags on your bags and sometimes they don't, it really depends on the bus and the person at the counter. So on that Tuesday I went up to ask, just in case, if it was needed, mind you that in the past I've gone up and they've said I'm fine and don't need it. Initially she was nonverbal and didn't really reply and when I asked her again, she was snooty and had a nasty attitude. for my bag. I was very impressed with this location! Very clean, lots of space, lots of TV's! There was a whole row of vending machines. This location is shared with Amtrack. Although this location is somewhat hidden (and relatively hard to find) it is very close to downtown and local transit. Okay, well, I'm preparing for my second greyhound trip and hoping it's better than the first. First trip the very helpful driver offered to check my luggage onto the bus for me- I am wheelchair confined and appreciate help any time it's offered. Very thoughtful, i said to myself, and graciously accepted her help. I never saw my luggage again. They never mailed the claim form, which would only have recouped about half my financial loss anyway. Efforts to locate luggage after the fact have been rewarded with frustration, despair and the sneaking suspicion that my luggage may not have been as lost so much as stolen. Apart from that, the trip itself was very pleasant. Just a heads up for those who travel alone. Oh and if you wear cute clothes, keep your bags within eyesight at all times. ;) read more

Update: I've had to ride the Greyhound again between Milwaukee and Green Bay, and this time there was neither toilet paper nor hand sanitizer in the toilet, and the toilet smelled really bad. Someone had also thrown pop bottles into the toilet, which just sat there in the muck and urine. On the return bus ride from Green Bay back to Chicago, it seemed as if I got the same bus, which again had neither toilet paper nor hand sanitizer in the toilet. Having the foresight to check the toilet out before the bus left this time, I mentioned it to the driver, who went into the station in Green Bay and came back with, believe it or not, ONE role of toilet paper for the entire bus for a over a 200 mile journey! I asked him if he thought that would be enough. When asked whether he was going to have the sanitizer container filled up (as there was none again), he said, "Sorry 'bout that, don't have any." Therefore, we had to ride all the way back to Chicago without being able to clean our hands. How people can sit on the bus and eat Cheetos, sandwiches and other food without cleaning their hands is appalling! The bottom line here is: Since you'll never know how clean and well-stocked your bus will be, be sure to bring your own little bottle of hand sanitizer and enough toilet tissue for yourself on the bus with you. read more

OMG... Never again will I travel using Greyhound or any of its affiliates i.e. Indian Trails. First of all I kept trying to purchase a ticket using the app. Ticket price was 54.oo all day Thursday. I kept receiving the error message that "this ticket cannot be purchased online, you must purchase inside the station. The departing time was 7:05 am on Friday. When I arrived the station was not open. I was not able to purchase the ticket but when the bus driver arrived she allowed me to pay her a deposit until we reached the next station. When we reached the Kalamazoo station I was told I had to pay $127.00 to reach my destination, Milwaukee, WI with a stop in Chicago. While the other passenger with the exact same issue as me was sold a ticket for 27. 00. I asked for a refund at that point and was told the ticket was nonrefundable. I then asked for a customer service number and the agent gave me a bogus number. I am just . any number on their website or app. Total nightmare!!! read more

I decided to take a day trip to my favorite city in the entire world Chicago. Anyway I decided to take the bus it was much cheaper than the train. I took the bus in the morning and it wasn't packed at all. I love the new Greyhound is there is free wifi with outlets, I wish I knew because I would bring my laptop to mute the voice of the girl sitting from Appleton arguing on the phone with her friend. This little Greyhound station is pretty nice. I did not interact with any of the staff here, so my review is based on the facilities only. The main terminal was clean, there are plenty of places to sit/walk, and there's a little restaurant at one end that serves breakfast items in addition to lunch/dinner. The bathrooms were just OK: stalls were out of paper, no paper towels, and it needed to be attended to. If they had staff attending to the restroom more regularly, it'd be a 5-star stop! read more
