Horrible Experience I had a rental from a different (non-airport) Enterprise location and was driving North through Wisconsin on Sunday 9/21/25 when the car broke down about 50 mi North of Milwaukee. Being a Sunday, the closest Enterprise location that was open was the MKE airport location. Their roadside assistance (Urgently) arranged for a tow truck and an Uber to get me to the airport. When I arrived at the airport, I had to wait in line at the rental counter and then again out at the Kiosk/office in the garage, only to be told that I had to wait for the broken-down car to be received and "get eyes on it". Through the whole process to this point I was never told that I would have to wait until the was received and checked in before they would give me a replacement. In my view, the tow truck that they arranged had the car so once I arrived at the rental location, I would be provided with a replacement. But this branch was unapologetic and would make absolutely no exception. They forced me to wait 2 more hours until the tow truck brought the car to their other facility. In fact, they didn't have any information about my rental or that I would be showing up there to get a replacement. My trip was already going to be delayed by about 3-1/2 hours due to the mechanical issue in the car that Enterprise rented me. But because this location had no consideration for my situation, the whole delay was 5-1/2 hours. Very disappointing. read more

Come on people! DO NOT USE ENTERPRISE. They are crooks. Rented my daughter a car for 1 day!!!! Guess what, they overcharged me (over 1000 for less than 24 hours) and now they won't return calls. Transferred to many people and of course, no one takes any responsibility. Sadly, I now have to file a claim with the BBB, get an attorney (which I will charge them for) and wait. Wasn't a difficult request, refund my money. CROOKS, UNSCRUPULIOUS, CROOKS. I will take this all the way. My boss rents car almost weekly, i will never use them again. Initially they seemed to be a considerate company. They upgraded her car when they found out she was driving to Michigan, wasn't requested. They lied :( Called and said my flight was delayed until 1:30am. They said they would wait for me. Their policy is wait 2 hours after closure for delayed flights. "We'll be there until 1:45am" they said. "We have your flight info so you should be good" they said. I thought - awesome! Enterprise rocks! I landed at 1:25am, ran to the place by 1:35am. Avis was there. Even Budget was there. Enterprise? No where to be seen. Gone. I was there. I made it in time. They said they'd wait. Nope. Thanks for lying to me. I planned around you. Could've even rescheduled or made alternative plans around you. But nope. You told me you'd be there, but instead, left me. I've learned my lesson. This is like a bad relationship. You played me. I have always had exceptional customer service with Enterprise at all locations. However, the Milwaukee airport location went above and beyond! I reserved a "compact or larger" vehicle; paying the price of a compact and drove off in a "luxury vehicle"! In addition, the drop off was also very quick and and the attendant checking in the vehicle on 1/27/2020 was excellent! **If you are unsure who to book with, 100% choose this Enterprise location. I have not had the best of luck with the other companies at the airport. read more

Do not rent a car here. I was in a car accident and sent by Enteprise (who worked with the insurance company of the person who hit me) to this location for a loaner car. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I was told that location did not handle insurance rentals. When I asked if they could recommend another Enterprise location in the area they said they could not help me. When I asked to see a manager, a "Karen" came over and reiterated they could not help me and I would have to call another location myself. When i raised my voice and communicated that I was not stuck at the airport and they were providing horrible customer service, I was asked to leave. I left. As I was calling other car rental companies and the insurance company in the rental car lobby, a man approached me and accused me of swearing at his employee. He did not initially identify himself as an Enterprise employee and I asked him to move away from me - he was very confrontational- then explained I was on the phone. After hanging up the phone, I apologized for raising my voice, communicated I in no way swore at his employees, and his confronting me was odd and inappropriate. Fast forward 5 months. I am traveling and booked a car though Alamo in Atlanta. After waiting in line, I was told Alamo, National, and Enterprise would not honor my reservation or rent to me. When I called the Customer Service phone number they provided, they communicated "Karen" had put me on a do not rent to list, stated that I had swore at her and others (?), etc. I was then stranded for 4 hours in Atlanta and had to rent a car last minute (when one finally become available), missed a meeting, and had to pay $500 more for a last minute rental. I am ok if the company does not want my business or feels I acted inappropriately (I did raise my voice, I did NOT swear at anyone as "Karen" stated. But to accept a reservation, then leave me stranded out of spite or because and entitled Karen did not like to be challenged, is not ok. Rent from here at your own risk. read more

I don't rent cars for personal travel very often. But when I do, I've used Enterprise and with consistently good service and value. That includes local rentals (while my car was being repaired) as well as in Northern New Mexico, the Long Beach Area, and during Iowa/Minnesota family trips. My MKE rental was no exception. The folks at the front counter were nice and helpful. One even mapped out the route to my Mother's old neighbourhood nearby. The other person, took me up to the car and after a walk-around and the contract signing, I was on my way in minutes. It was friendly, efficient, and with no pressure to buy extra insurance. Coming back, the rental return area was easy to find and the friendly guy who checked me in did so with speed and precision. My only complaint is all the local taxes and fees that have to be paid on top of the daily rate. But that's not Enterprise's fault and I did know ahead of time what those charges would be before I made the rental decision. read more

Just one of the slowest, worst places to rent a car at this airport. Why do you have to check in at the counter, and then check in to get your car? One time, my flight was delayed an hour and by the time we got there, there were no cars on the lot. They had to go shuttle cars from the downtown location to the airport for the 20 of us that were waiting. We all had reservations.... What happened? The three dummies working there were standing around like the three stooges, and then looked surprise when a fleet of people with reservations showed up to get their cars. Good Luck! read more

I have been a faithful Enterprise customer for several years, and until now have always been pleased with the service. That said, My rental pickup experience at Milwaukee airport on 8/19/15 at 6:00pm was very disappointing. While all the other counters had no lines, Enterprise had 12-15 customers waiting and only one employee behind the counter. The employee was not wearing a name tag, so I can't commend her for her excellent service, but she was very efficient so our wait was "only" about 35 minutes to get to the counter. Most everyone in line had reservations and there were no delays at the airport., so there is really no excuse for having just one clerk. The enterprise rental prices are no better than their competitors at this airport. Next time I will consider alternatives. read more

Usually Enterprise is good, this branch is not. Our flight was cancelled at MKE and we wanted to switch our drop off location due to a cancelled flight. After 45 minutes of trying to talk to an actual person on the phone, we finally gave up and googled a national number to call. They finally connected us with this branch who charged us $206 to drop our car off at an airport and hour away. We were even more pissed off when we found out it only would have cost $50 to just start a new rental contract. read more

We have been faithful Enterprise customers for several years, and until now have always been pleased with the service. Yup, I'm not the only YELPer to start with this. My bad experience 22 October 2015 will be my last for the MKE location, the nail in this coffin was that corporate failed to even respond to the complaint. My wife and chief of staff made this reservation, we rented enough to be regulars. We were on a tight schedule, so the plan was for me to end a class five minutes early and hustle over here on the 80 county bus (exactly on time thank you Milwaukee County Bus driver), and just to make sure she called someone here to confirm that the husband (me) could pick up the car even though the reservation was under her name (we don't have the same last name). The fellow at the counter working the long line was the manager, I know because he told almost every customer in line (maybe a new promotion). When he got to me, he told me he couldn't honor the reservation because my wife has a different last name than I do, even though I showed that we have the same home address (driver's license) and he could see that we were both regulars. I don't know if he didn't approve of my wife not taking my name, or he didn't like the way I looked but either way I felt I got some humiliating and shabby treatment. He interrogated me as if I were lying, demanding to know "who told you this? What was her name?" and repeating that he was "the manager." He made me stand to the side of the line, talking to me like I tried to pull some sort of fast one, because I wouldn't take the car on double the rate my wife made the reservation under, and I couldn't immediately get her on the phone. Eventually she finished her class and returned the call, and he had to talk to her on the phone to "confirm" the reservation, so half an hour behind schedule I finally made it to the rental car in the garage. I was flustered and shamed by my treatment at the counter, told the garage crew about what happened and they both acted surprised, saying that there shouldn't have been a problem with my wife making the reservation but me picking up the car, even with a different last name. The reason I mention "the way I looked" is that the only other person to not get friendly treatment was an African-American gentleman (also wearing a suit by the way) who had his credit card declined. Mr. Manager acted like it was the first time this had ever happened, but what I had just found out is that new credit card security measures meant to defeat identity theft default on declining out of state charges. Since Mr. Manager wasn't being helpful, I suggested my fellow darker skinned customer call the credit card toll-free service number and tell them he was out of town and they should immediately approve the charges. He also had to step out of line to do this, I think he also felt embarrassed by the hostile treatment. Maybe it was a coincidence, but all the other customers were White. If you've never experienced this sort of mistreatment, I'm really happy for you, I don't wish this on anyone, but if you have then you might know how unsettling it is. I know I told the paperwork guy in the garage that I declined all the unnecessary additional coverage (you should know that most major credit cards cover your insurance when renting a car), and I thought I initialed it that way, but I ended up getting charged for the full added coverage which coincidentally doubled my daily rental rate, bringing the final cost up to what Mr. Manager in front was trying to get me to pay by not honoring the original reservation rate. Maybe it was an accident, but when we found out on the credit card bill we were shocked, we had the rental car for an extended weekend so it wasn't an insignificant amount of money. If you're flying in and out of MKE, I advise that you pay slightly more for better service at one of the other major rental car companies (all their lines are shorter), and you might just end up saving money. If you live locally and like the Enterprise rates, just avoid this location, the downtown location never did me like this. You really want to avoid this place if you're not White or your wife didn't take your last name. read more

Enterprise, I love you. I will never leave you for Hertz again. I do wish that I could go directly to the lot to pick up my car, but having to wait a few minutes at the main desk isn't too big of a deal for me. The positives of this Enterprise far outweigh the negatives. I've been up in Milwaukee for several months on business and after the 3rd time, several employees knew me by name. They are all superbly friendly and helpful. I understand that this may not be for everyone but I appreciate their willingness to help me have a better experience. I love the ability to choose my car. In the cases where my size was out, I was upgraded for free. Thus far, every car has been absolutely SPOTLESS. I have never even driven a 2013 car, and the newest car I drove was a brand new 2015 Dodge with only had 80 miles on it. read more

I rented a car for a week, the car a Toyota Camry. Everything was fine until the 2nd day when the check engine light came on. I was obviously concerned there was an issue with the car and the next morning took it to the Enterprise agency on County Road F in Pewaukee. They said they didn't have any cars to exchange but and sent me to Waukesa where they said they had plenty to exchange. Engine light still on. Drove to Waukesa and was promptly told they had no cars to exchange but they could send it to Toyota too resolve. I said I needed the car to get where I was going so there was no options. I said oui would continue driving it and they could fix it when I returned it. The next to the last day I checked the gas cap as I know they can sometimes cause an issue. Sure enough, it was loose. Tighten it up and used it that day. Sure enough, the check engine light went out. Next day filled it up and drove back to airport. When I arrived, they asked how was my experience so I relayed this story. They wanted to make it right and reduced the bill. They didn't have to but they did just for my trouble. Without the caring and sincere attitude of the airport Enterprise staff, this review and my rating would have been much lower. Have rented couple of times here. Compared to all other big names that reside next in counter, Enterprise customer experience has been phenomenal. Never had any issue with booked car type, which often gets mixed up with any other rental company. Staffs are overarching and helping. They do not bug you to get an insurance, and understand when you inform that you sorted other means of insurance coverage. read more

Simple issue. Car broke down, needed a vehicle ASAP. The associate who I believe may have been named Dalton made it a much more complex issue than what it should have been. I have rented with enterprise previously with no issues but for whatever reason policies seem to change at this location only. Not satisfied with the level of customer service at all. We came here on memorial day and there was no line, it was easy to get through checkout. Check out was a little awkward, there was someone training and it was just a weird dynamic. First off, the 2 stars as nothing to do with the customer service which actually was really good. My first time renting at Enterprise (after doing a ton of Avis for work and random other ones for personal). The customer service reps go out of their way to be helpful. The person at the exit gate even said "Have you used one of these before?" I was confused because...I'm thinking uhhh yes I've driven a car before... But no she was wondering if I had driven specifically a 2014 corolla because she would have showed me how to operate the windshield wipers, headlights, etc. Anyway, yes they are really trying. That being said...I hate waiting for no reason. I'm used to just going straight to my car when I'm preferred or at least from the counter just giving me the keys and I can go directly to the space. In this case after checking in at the counter we have to wait for an Enterprise rep to call our name and escort us out to the car. It took 30 minutes for them to get to me! All they did was walk me to the car and make sure I knew where I was going...why??? Just an unnecessary step in my opinion and a huge waste of time. Please improve the process or you will lose customers like me. read more

MKE Airport Enterprise I arrived on a late flight that ended up being later. I used the self-service kiosk to check in. No problems there. Patrick welcomed me as I entered the parking area. Seemed genuinely nice. Unfortunately they were all out of the ford focus that I reserved (cue Jerry Seinfeld, "anyone can TAKE a reservation...") but Patrick turned it into a great experience. I could have any of the vehicles. Lots of SUV upgrades. I like sedans. What happened, you ask. I picked up dad in a brand new BMW 328i. Drop off was quick and easy. The other bonus is that enterprise is on the 1st floor, so no rat maze to get in and out. read more

This is the flagship rental car facility in the city for enterprise. The overall great thing about the Milwaukee airport is the rental car facility is literally 100 feet across the departure and arrivals lobby - so that alone gets them some brownie points. This is like my fourth time renting from them... But this most recent time they gave me a 2016 Cadillac XTS 4 with only 30 miles on it. I mean it was brand spanking new. I definitely enjoyed myself in this one. The staff is always friendly. The check out process is always Swift. So far so great. read more

Top 3 places I've rented a vehicle from and I've traveled all around the country. The customer service is phenomenal, friendly staff who are knowledgeable and helpful and hustle to get you into a car and on your way to your flight. I fly into MKE at least once a month, I'll never rent from another company here again. After checking in, you walk to the garage and they are waiting for you, your info already pulled up in their tablets and they greet you by your name and with a warm smile, even in the middle of winter. Typically service at this location has been outstanding but here recently they charged my personal credit card instead of my business card and it was nearly impossible to get these guys on the phone to get this corrected. I called the one 800 number for enterprise and they couldn't help I called the local airport enterprise number for several days and no one will pick up the phone I left several messages and I still have not received a return call to correct this. A few times when I called I could hear voices in the background then they hung up the phone on me. I called right back and no one picked up. Rental Dates: Feb 20-23 I was upgraded to a Range Rover for $10 more a day than the original pickup that I had reserved which was great for my wife and newborn son! That is where the good experience ends. We returned the car and did the whole gas check and I did not sign anything which I thought was weird but hey the car was returned and the enterprise associate asked how everything went and I replied "good". About a month later (March 25th) I saw a $1700 charge on my Amex and received a call from Ryan who is the manager. This is what it said verbatim " Hey Nathan, This is Ryan from Enterprise over at the Milwaukee airport ahh just trying to reach out I know we have been trying to get a hold of you um in regards to your bill. umm just need a have a couple questions that we need to get squared away as far as when the vehicle was brought over to Fields and if you brought it to Fields which is a body shop in Waukesha, I guess there is just a lot of unknowns as far as the condition of the vehicle and what happened to is so just wanted to touch base with you so give me a call back at your earliest convenience." I was taken aback by this because as a Milwaukee native I know that Fields in the Land Rover dealer in the area and why do they not have a record of us dropping the vehicle off at their airport location?? After numerous attempts to get reach Ryan, we finally connected and I asked why their records show me as the last person to rent and how it was possible to not see I dropped it off without damage etc. He said there was major damage to the windshield and front of the vehicle to which I said I was in Atlanta when the car was dropped off at the dealer. He finally agreed with me and said he would issue a refund that day (3/25) I called back on 4/13 to see where my refund was... they issued it that day saying "we sent it to you but will resend it" which was not true. To top it off the refund hit and it was $400 short of what they charged me. I called back 4/14 and spoke with an associate who said Ryan was with a customer and would call me back... which he never did. This branch is a joke and Ryan is a terrible manager when it comes to Customer service. I will not be using enterprise anymore as through Delta budget is the same price. Rented an economy car here and found the rates to be reasonable. $99 + $25 in fees for 4 days. Not too shabby. Processed the return pretty easily. The car was supposed to be a 2016, but it didn't have much extras like blue tooth or anything. Still a comfortable ride. read more

I am a former Enterprise employee, so I think I examine my rental process now as a corporate customer under a much stricter magnified-glass than most since I truly know the operation. That being said, my Enterprise experience at MKE was flawless! There was zero wait time for check in, and the staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. I have never had such a difficult time renting a car. After flying into the Milwaukee airport, I had to wait 35 min. just to reach the Enterprise counter to check-in for my reserved car. I soon realized there were over 30 other people that had been waiting for their car for over an hour. With having prior reservations, it seemed totally ridiculous to see this scene! I ended up waiting another 70 mins. for my car! The car I received had filthy back seats, but I was not about to wait another minute, as my patience were at my wit ends at this point! read more

I am so IMPRESSED with the experience I had last week at Enterprise MKE!! I booked through Hotwire and despite that they treated me with the BEST customer service EVER! From I think it was Kyle at the service desk to the wonderful young men including I think Cody in the car area (all were dressed in sharp shirts and ties), it was TOP NOTCH, quick, efficient and well-done. So, the service was prompt and courteous. Friendly guys and all. Return was quick and painless. The only strange thing I experienced with the guy who was serving us... he completely ignored me. He greeted my husband with a big hello a hearty handshake and, even though I was standing right next to my husband, there was no "hi" for me. Forget the handshake. The whole time he was talking to him and did not acknowledged me in any way throughout the whole process. Is it Midwestern thing? The guy being the head of the household and all, little timid wifey at his side? It was very perplexing. On return a different guy did talk to both of us. read more

I left a $200 pair of sunglasses in the console of a car upon return. I have tried going through lost and found, contacting the office there at MKE and was unable to get my shades back. There is undoubtedly an Enterprise employee in Milwaukee wearing those sunglasses. I travel often with business and you can rest assured that I will return my business to Hertz. read more

Rented a Nissan Altima this afternoon and it was the best rental experience of my life. These guys at MKE have taken a page out of the Four Seasons manual on superior customer service. It was a seamless experience from our man at the counter to the guy who gave us three options as to what car we wanted to the guy who gave us our contract. Super professional.
