The Grey Pine Lodge is a solid place to stay in Waynesboro. This was our third time visiting. We enjoy staying here largely due to the fact it is dog friendly. There is loads of well cut grass to walk and you can easily go to and from your room. The location is also wonderful, it is located right off 64, and a few minutes drive to downtown Waynesboro. The place itself has been nicely upgraded, but has gotten some wear and tear over the years. There is scuffed and chipping paint. The bathroom has some mold on the ceiling. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was lacking, very dusty and had cobwebs. Another positive however is the Pine Shop. It is self serve and checkout. They have beverages (pop, water, tea, etc) and snacks. There is also merch, coloring books, and puzzles. They have a complimentary coffee bar which is another lovely addition (located in Pine Shop). My one critique is that the coffee cups and lids do not work and it spills on you when you drink. Despite the few cons, I do recommend to anyone traveling, especially those with a pet. read more
