The Staff greeted us and was helpful throughout our stay, the historic building is beautiful and well maintained, the front porch has rocking chairs in a covered porch, and there's complimentary coffee in the mornings (and good coffee too!). The room isn't large, but is attractive, the bed was comfortable and the temperature controls worked well. There's a $15 breakfast buffet that we used once. It's typical eggs, potatoes, meats, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal/grits, and OJ. We went for breakfast a few doors down and spent $26 for 2 bagels and one coffee; I don't think this was an outrageous price at a nice hotel in a nice room with good service. There's an indoor pool that looked good, but we were busy and didn't get a chance to use it. The hotel truly is located in a great location. We ate within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants, and a few of the significant attractions are only steps away (although, be warned, the neighborhood is hilly!) The parking is $7.50 per night in a public lot attached to the building. They charge the parking to your room with in-out privileges.

The coffee station had two regular coffees, a decaf coffee, an English breakfast tea, and a herbal tea. There were four to-go cups and four silverware sets that have sugar and powder creamer. There is a 24/7 coffee bar which also has hot chocolate and tea. The hotel also provided a breakfast buffet. And this is a remarkable option conveniently located just off I-81, where a small degree of luxury can be experienced without braking the bank. Months of my time wasted and the incompetent staff couldn't figure out anything despite me being able to show where my credit card was charged by this hotel. Because they didn't have record of me checking in (because their system was down) they couldn't figure how to fix anything. All I was asking for was the deposit back. None of the managers could even be bothered to follow up and call me back.
