What once was a great place has now disappointed me. They've hired a bunch of 20 something year old kids, I can't prove it but I would bet money that the kid who changed my oil didn't put the undercarriage back on properly and now it's damaged. I went back the following day and they said it would cost over $600 to fix it. I'll go to the dealership for now on. read more

Greulich's Automotive Repair - Full transparency, my dirty cabin air filter, compared to what it should look like instantly made me get a new one! - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

We took our car in last June for an oil change and inspection and everything was normal. When we returned for the following oil change/inspection suddenly our cabin air filter was listed as "missing"? I checked and sure enough, it wasn't there. What happened to our air filter? Did the car absorb it? Did it get abducted by aliens? Did someone break into my car, disassemble the glove box, and steal my air filter and nothing else? I guess we will never know, but in the meantime I think we will try other businesses for our oil changes. read more

"I've seen some less than favorable reviews on social media about Greulich but thought I would still give them a try. While I cannot comment on the work they provide, I can comment on their pricing... Had an estimate from a dealership service center which was about $3,900 out the door. Asked Greulich for a second opinion hoping that an independent shop would be less expensive than a dealership. THAT ASSUMPTION IS WRONG! Greulich came back at over $4k out the door. When I expressed my concern, I was offered to send him the dealer estimate and they would "try to beat it". How about you offer me the best price first, instead of haggling and negotiating? The social media buzz about this place NOT being independent anymore and expensive pricing seems to be true. Why would you use an independent if they are more expensive than the dealership? What a joke! AND, they charged me $230 for the diagnostic estimate. I guess there is no more free estimates to earn a customer in their world anymore either. BTW, I did find a truly independent auto repair shop that's been in business since 1995 with great reviews which did the same job with OEM parts and 2 year guarantee on work for $1,800 out the door. That was my expectation for an independent. Will never give Greulich a shot at my business again - something you should consider as well." read more

If you read Mike P.'s negative review below I basically had the same experience. Did an AC flush and recharge in March 25 and was told I needed a new hose. I did not replace the hose at the time of service so I was told if my AC coolant ran out within a few months I could bring my car back in and have them replace the hose and get a complimentary AC recharge. I scheduled an appointment for this morning in June 25 and the man at the front desk spent about 7 minutes searching his computer, presumably for the part he needed to replace my hose. Once he found the part he said it was expensive and that the part plus labor would be over $1000. When I originally got the flush and recharge they quoted about $800 for parts and labor, so how did the price increase to more than the original price? Was the original quote made with substandard parts and now they're searching for the most expensive parts to jack up the price? Whatever their goal was I asked for my keys back and left dissatisfied. My first visit made me feel like Greulich's was a trustworthy auto shop, but my second visit left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be going back. read more

Outrageous thieves I was charged $68 per spark plug to replace one single faulty plug for a total of $290. Then an additional $175 to twist them in. After many years, my family will no longer do business with them. read more

this was a really nice experience. I was getting a simple oil change. they had to order a different filter and called to let me know. when I picked the car up he let me know there was a couple things that needed some attention. he was super helpful in letting me know what I needed to do and that he would be happy to order the parts just let him know when! I had to go to this location, which is a lot further away from my home. A manager by the name of Dan works there. He took excellent care of my car. Because I had such problems at a different location, Dan stepped up making sure that all my car needs were addressed. The proper transmission fluid was used and the spark plugs were replaced. The value I received for the job done was very reasonable. That is why I give this particular Greulichs location five stars. read more

Exactly how every shop visit should go! Very quick and skilled workers here. Set up an appointment the night before and they diagnosed my issue of the A/C not blowing cold the next morning. Shoutout to Dan who helped make this visit as stress free as possible. Only down side is they don't do body work. Would definitely recommend. read more

We went to Greulich's Automotive for the first time today. They were truly Awesome!!! We are native Arizonans and can't believe we have never been here but we will definitely be back for any automotive needs we may have. We inquired today about an appointment and they got us in today. When we got there it was clear they were busy but they still got us in, in a relatively short amount of time. They have great customer service, spoke to us about our car and we felt they were honest and reliable. They even stayed late to get our car finished today, which they didn't have to do but did anyway and they did it graciously and respectfully. Alonzo was our service writer and Maynard was our Automotive tech. Thank you so much for a job very well done!! read more

I recently bought a 2013 does with some issues. I took it to Greulichs and they fixed everything for me in a very timely manner ( 1 day for several issues). I have NEVER been to an auto shop that communicated as well as this shop. I received texts when the vehicle was inspected, what they found, what the plan was and what the cost was. They were awesome and so friendly. Will definitely recommend them and use them in the future. Just to clarify I didn't just receive texts , the tech also called me and went over details. read more

It's a shame when you are so surprise that when you get excellent service at the estimate which was given by people who honestly want to do a great job and took pride doing it. You wonder what's wrong with them, if the work was actually done. For me it started with the very first phone call. I had been to the dealership twice each time they had my vehicle for a week. Twice they told me it was fixed twice it hadn't been fixed. Pearl yes I name my truck will never go back to Airpark for anything. I am extremely grateful for everyone there, extremely thankful for their service and the professional way they conduct business read more

I have been coming to Greulich's Automotive for years. I found out about this place from a friend and it was close to my work, so I thought I'd check it out. I had to to get my electronic seat fixed and an oil change. I didn't have a way to get to work since I needed to leave my car there, the manager actually drove me to and from work so I can get my car fixed. Just a month ago, I needed my back light fixed and they did it for free. I also, came back for a circuit that was out and they did it for $30 when Nissan was charging me $160. I didn't have cash on me, so they said I can come and bring it to them whenever! HA! I did come back with $30 cash a few days later! ;-) I have always had a GREAT experience here and recommend Greulich on Greenway to anyone! read more

Greulich's Automotive Repair - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I took my Mercedez C250 here for a check engine light. There aren't a lot of shops that service Mercedes so I was happy to find Greulich's. This is a company that cares about their customers and try hard to ensure customer satisfaction. They offered to pick up my car (I am 45 min away) and send me home on Uber and vice a versa. They were straight forward with me on repair costs and were timeline in repairing my car. I appreciated the updates while my car was at their shop. The shop is very professional unlike other shops like Huff Automotive in Chandler, they put me first instead of making me wait for something like taking a call on the phone, or making me wait in the waiting room without a timeframe of when the car will be ready and they have inventory on hand to take care of basic things like oil change. I am a customer for life thanks to Jimmy who went above and beyond expectations! read more

Revising my previous 5 star Gruelich review. This was my third visit and there's good news and bad news. Good news is the 35,000 mile service which entailed synthetic oil & filter change plus tire rotation, came to $70. Same service at the local Mazda dealership was $139. The bad news...They said I should get a new battery, mine was about to fail. Their cost, $225. I priced one for my 2019 CX-5 at Costco for $80. I understand that $225 is not totally out of bounds for a battery but...geez! In addition, my car has no problem whatsoever starting. The starter sounds and reacts just as strong as when I bought the car. I hedged my bet and bought the Costco battery and keep it in my trunk. I'll need it eventually right? So, just a reminder to take what they say with a grain of salt. Oh, it's May 2023 and the whole office is being fully remodeled. I would not take my car there if you need to wait for it rather than drop it off. Check the finish date first! read more

I brought my car in for AC repair 4 months ago. They charged me $522.00 to diagnose the system for leaks and fill it with coolant. Barry the manager told me that I have a 1 year warranty. About 3 weeks ago I realized that it wasn't blowing cold air any longer. So I made an appointment to bring it back. After looking at it, Barry tells me that the system has a leak that they cant find. So my option is to spend a minimum of $1300.00 dollars to repair it but he wont fill it up again if I don't. When I told him about the warranty, he said that I misunderstood. I do not trust these people nor will I ever go back. read more

Verbal estimate to install owner provided 4 shocks and steering damper on F250 SD. Quoted $180 per hour and 2.5 hours. I told Barry at the estimate time that the truck has a camper. "We do big box trucks all the time. No problem getting it on the lift. I was also told that they will install owner provided Bilstein shocks since they are special order. It should be no issue. Upon arrival I was told we cannot do the work in that it is too big to lift. Then I was told it has to be done outside and we have to charge a little more since it has to be done outside and not on the lift. Then they said it would be $600 for labor. I said go ahead even though he, Barry stated he knew the initial bid was $460. That they could never make it charging just for labor on owner provided parts. The good. they got right to it. The mechanic was cordial. Signed in a 8am and got a call just shy of 10am. The work took less then two hours. When I returned Barry said he could cut the price down to $540. So they charged over $270 per hour labor and $40 for shop supplies. With owner provided parts. Needless to say they lost this customer in the future. Classic Bait and switch. read more

Walked into Greulich's without an appointment to get a quote on installing metal skid plates on my Tesla model 3. The gentleman who was at the front was tremendous! He asked if I had the skid plates with me and said he could do it now. With in 5 mins they had the car on the lift and 15 mins later the skid plates were installed! What a great job by the Greulich's Team. I appreciate you guys going above and beyond! read more

I brought my 2011 Lincoln MKX to Greulich's on Elliot Rd and 48th St. Sam took good care of me, advising me not to rotate my tires as there was more tread on the front tires than on the rear tires (good advice!), and performing a synthetic oil change with lube and oil filter included for only $55 including tax and everything else. That's the best price I've found in Phoenix for that job. The personnel working at Greulich's are helpful, professional and attentive to the needs of their customers. They have adjusted the tire pressure by putting air in my tires without charge on many an occasion when I just "popped" in because my tires needed air. I plan on bringing my two vehicles to Greulich's from now on because I know I can count on excellent, caring service at a very reasonable price. read more

The team of mechanics that work for Greulich's Automotive strive for finding and assessing the problem(s) on the cars and trucks brought into them for repairs. My son recently had his car towed to their shop for repairs. They were really good at looking at and diagnosing his car's problems and calling the warranty company to see what would be covered and not covered. Mike, the asst. mgr. kept my son informed every step they took and assisted us with getting the part(s) needed to make the repairs; it made for a smooth and stress free process. They were quick to get the repairs completed so my son would not be without his transportation too long. I would highly recommend this auto repair shop as they are honest, knowledgable and helpful. I called the place on Friday late in the afternoon to get a quote for a replacement of a broken lug nut stud on the front wheel of my Corolla, and they said that it will be complementary! I drove there, and apparently 3 of them needed to be replaced!! They stood by their word, and replaced all three for free because it wasn't safe for me to drive with only 2 fastened studs! I was amazed of the level of customer service and dedication they have to serve the safety of their customers. I told few of my family members about them, and I'm definitely coming back for my car oil change from now on. They were super fast in getting the studs and changing them! Took my car in for a routine brake pads and rotor change, after completion, my check engine light came on. I ended up handling the mechanic issue on my own and it was a simple fix. I'm reviewing today to make known how reassuring and professional the crew here handled my situation. Zo and his crew immediately took responsibility without knowing the exact reason for the engine light. They said regardless of what it was they'd make sure to recheck every step and be as thorough as possible. It goes without saying, peace of mind when dealing with car issues is very important. From start to finish these guys were about as transparent and professional as they could have been. Figured I'd share. read more

Been bringing my old 2005 Ranger in for general service and repair to this location for years. Today I took it in for new brake pads thinking I'd heard some grinding noise indicating wear. Had a coupon for another shop and they wanted over $300 to replace my front pads and rotors. For various reasons I didn't trust them and took it to Greulich's. They took the time to do a completed brake inspection only to tell me I didn't need anything done. I watched as two of them checked it out. Feeling bad I took so much of their time I asked about an oil change while I was there. They told me by their records it was too early and sent me on my way. No charge!! Worst customer service I've ever experienced. After having oil changes done here for several years by front desk staff that were wonderful, staff changed and this visit was the rudest experience of my life. Trustworthy. Kind. True to their word. Integrous. Competitive Prices. Consistently gone up and beyond... are just a few of the words that I never thought I would put together to describe an automotive service facility. This team at Greenway and the 51 has won my business over and over again. I have nothing but high praise for Jimmy and Mike and the different techs who have worked on my truck. I have (unfortunately) had to be calling on their services several times in these last few months (vehicle has 200,000 miles so it was unexpectedly-expected). Ever time I have walked in last minute, even with bays busy and filled with vehicles, rows of ticketed orders on their desk and the phone ringing, I have always felt as if I was their only customer and their most valued customer. And I have also had times to talk to their techs one-on-one and they have all been very professional, kind, and personally and genuinely expressed how much they enjoy working at this facility (because I asked them specific and direct questions about this - and for my line of work I know if not being truly honest and they guys REALLY do enjoy working there!). With humor I will say I hope I never have to see these guys again, (except for oil changes) but if I do I will know I will be well taken cared for and be charged very fair prices for the work that would need to be done. read more

Worst customer service ever- I did not like the way I was being talked to. I had asked one simple question regarding oil changes and I was given an answer to which the guy made me feel was the stupid question ever. Nothing was discussed with me about cost except I said I was using a coupon for a flush. When I went to pay i was given a price with out the coupon and and when I mentioned the coupon they guy looked frustrated with me that he had to redo the math. Their print outs are horrible with explaining the true costs of things. They said they would never use synthetic oil in a 7yr old car, almost that that was the stupidest thing they've heard of, that conventional oil is the only thing it needs. Ummmm yeah that's not what dealerships say- you can put synthetic in anything! I was told I desperately needed needed brake pads that they were in the red zone and I went for a second opinion and I was told my pads are normal. read more
