The expanding they have done is incredible. This is a fun and affordable place to play games. It's loud and stinky but what can you expect. The prizes are so bad, but if you just go for fun then it's worth it. There are many choices of games to play.

Came over with my 4 years old nephew on a Friday afternoon. Lots of activities around. Racing games. Chance games. There is a movie theater here also. They sell snacks here. There is car racing tracks also. Kinda fun. You can spend hours here playing.

Awesome arcade! All machines are working and they're nickel credits! Might as well call it Nickel City :) we road the GoKarts which were super fun. Loaded our arcade card with $20 and those $20 lasted us a long time! They have a staff constantly cleaning the machines.

Fun night with the kiddos! Great spot to take the kids and they have seating areas for parties. It's Easy to spend money here. This location is clean and pretty big. Cool games throughout. Swipe a card vs inserting coins like at DB. Nice staff too. Popular place for laser tag. Sign up for their email to get 4 free visits a year.

Wunderland is a surprisingly good arcade / theater / laser tag arena / and VR experience. Its signage indicates it is a nickel arcade, but many of the games cost well over a nickel to play. They also offer a "hologate VR" gaming station, which costs between $3 and $4 per round. This was a lot more fun than I'd expected. The arcade is small, and most of the games are kid-friendly. Many are "redemption" games that dispense tickets which can be redeemed for prizes. The laser tag arena is big, multi-level, and and has several hidden items to find and try to zap. Doing so leaves players exposed, so this really heightens the challenge. Many in my group are avid laser tag enthusiasts, and each said the arena was by far they best they'd ever played. Wunderland makes for an inexpensive and enjoyable experience.

It's expensive but you're paying for the experience and I'd say it's worth it once in a while. I saw 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple here, kind of a weird choice for a movie theatre where you eat dinner- it was pretty gnarly. The good: -couches/comfy seating -actual food -friendly staff -neat atmosphere The less good but not necessarily bad: -having to wait to be brought to the theatre by a host -much more expensive than a regular movie theatre -no cherry coke (but they do offer a Roy Rodgers) -the popcorn is REALLY buttery which is cool if you're into that but I was overwhelmed by the sogginess

Simple expectations - good service, good food, good product, good experiences. In the world of service, that isn't difficult to provide. To get a 1-star review from me takes actual WORK. I must say, Studio One Theaters absolutely earned in every-single-way, this review. Let's start with purchasing tickets online. The platform is poor. The tickets are double the cost of any other small local theater. By the time you get to the purchase page, you're total will double in fees. They don't give you a confirmation number... you just have to assume your purchase went through. No confirmation email, nothing. The only way I knew I had made a purchase was by the charge on my credit card. The parking situation is poor. I was fortunate that I found a spot but the overall parking lot situation is a nightmare. We got stuck for 10+ minutes trying to leave, we finally escaped through an alley way. Alright, let's get to the actual experience. We arrived a bit early hoping to get our seats early or enjoy a drink at the bar. We stood around for 10 minutes while staff ignored us. Three behind the bar, one behind the register, two random floaters. They didn't as much as acknowledge our existence. After one of them finally got off the phone, we were acknowledged and told we needed to wait. We took a seat at the bar. I ordered a 10oz wine that was served in a tiny 8oz glass. The metal-and-glass bar was noticably dirty, the dust was thick on the shelves of the bar overhead. We were promptly ignored by the staff, only to get their attention when it was time to tab-out. Approximately 30 minutes before the movie, we were finally granted access to the theater. The manager invited us to the theater we had tickets for. We were then held hostage as we slowly crawled down the hallway while we were tormented with his pre-scripted speech. It started much like the disney script of "we have 45 members of our cast and crew" that work here 24/7 and 365. First, leave disney's script to disney (left lower-case so the review doesn't get flagged). None of the sales pitch was believable. This is a tiny little theater in Portland... the big-brand theaters don't even employ that many people per / theater. Much less, could any reasonable person believe that a theater has chefs and staff that work 24/7 at a theater open Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Doesn't even make sense. Then, out came the iPad pics of mediocre food he was trying hard to sell. No thanks. Once seated, our waiter appeared to take our orders. We asked for a few minutes to review the menu. The prices were outrageous. That's a difficult comment to get out of me... price doesn't matter when the product stands behind it's value... this however, immediately felt off. The waiter felt impatient and pushy. The minute we didn't order a ridiculously overpriced alcoholic beverage, he was done with us. He did return 10 minutes later, we resolved to a "medium" popcorn for $11 of which, was TERRIBLE. Honestly, I didn't know you could make bad popcorn. Studio One Theaters has BAD POPCORN. Tasteless, burnt, just awful. Once we ordered the popcorn, declined $30/ea appetizers and $40+/ea entrees, the waiter was done with us. He huffed away, never to return. The popcorn showed up, salt-less, cold, burnt, and tasteless. We pushed it around the weird metal bowl it came in and ultimately, gave up. The movie started and the talking started. First, everyone in the row behind us completely ignored the movie for the first 30-minutes. The water that had abandoned us completely and fully ignored us but had fog-horn volume conversations taking order, laughing, conversing, completely ignoring the movie that had just started. Then came the food. Orders being delivered, one after another on loud plates with chunky silverware. Nothing better than listening to spoons and forks scrape against plates while people conversed as though they were the only ones in the room... it then got worse... ...the people directly behind us decided to call the theater out on their less-than-mediocre menu. Everything they ordered was terrible, of which, we heard them very loudly and very clearly complaining to each other. When they complained to the waiter (mind you - WHILE the movie is playing!) he decided to argue before taking away the horrible food. THEN, making things even WORSE, here comes the manager. He decides to want a full narrative of what was wrong with the food and why. After a lengthy 5+ minute conversation, he then offered them more food, they declined because it was so bad. They left 1/2 way through the movie. The talking never stopped. Someone finally yelled out "shut up" near the end of the movie. People were rude. The staff was awful. The food and beverage was less than mediocre. This isn't worth a second try. Horrible.

Only a few seconds after we were handed our drinks, my dad was simply looking around for the straws. The worker then hit him with a sarcastic "I'll help you down there, sorry" and an attitude. I picked up on it immediately, but we ignored it and went on to the movie. Halfway through the film, we found out one of our family members had been kicked out because the workers refused to sell him a drink for his daughter. When he asked for the drink, Logan loudly yelled "NO," forcing him to go back and tell his daughter he couldn't get her a soda. The workers were rude, dismissive, and even laughed in his face. They admitted they didn't mind ruining her Thanksgiving just because they didn't want to make a soda. Quinn, who claimed to be the manager, allowed Logan's behavior without doing anything about it. The theater itself was also in terrible condition. Trash cans overflowing, dirty bathrooms, and an auditorium littered with trash that clearly hadn't been cleaned. Terrible customer service and a filthy environment. We won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately I'm an idiot and didn't take pictures of the trash cans and whatnot, but I'm sure if you went recently or on thanksgiving you'd agree.

Normally I scan my movie pass, tell them seat me in the ADA row. Usually it is empty so I just say put me in the middle but due to the wheelchair on the seat, I can never read the numbers which I say. I was supposed to be at an event across town. It was impossible to find a safe place to park and there was no ADA parking. Due to safety, I had to give up. I figured I would just go to see The Drama instead. I was not prepared... There are a few seats taken, including the two middle seats in ADA. I looked and said to give me on of the ADA seats over to the side. She stood there staring at me before saying that those seats are reserved for companions for people who are in a wheelchair. I said those are for people who have a disability and are not able to walk up or down stairs to get to the other seats. I genuinely picked up my cane and showed it to her saying I'm not sure how much more disabled you would like me to be to get a disabled seat. She had to call over her manager, thankfully not at my request. The manager without saying a word punched in my ticket and got my popcorn looking at the other person with shock. I have known numerous people going through things like organ failure, recently received a transplant... cancer treatments... there are so many things that can be severely wrong with a person where they are challenged physically and need ADA seating or accommodations. So, I don't assume BUT I just had to put up a fight to get accommodations yet I was SHOOK seeing the very able bodied, looking couple sitting in the center of the ADA section. I was so tempted to ask if anyone gave them any crap getting those seats. I did not though because it's hardly their fault I had to go through that. I also didn't wanna disrupt them because they were super cute snuggled up together. I always assume people sitting ADA requested it for reasons - I'm not the ADA police and there were plenty of spaces.

Some machines let you play until you win, while others are one-shot-only, which keeps things exciting. I also loved that you can trade up smaller prizes for bigger ones--such a nice touch. You'll need a $2 card to get started, but if you buy a package, that fee comes out of your credits. Topping up is easy with the reload machines on the wall.
