Tonight my family went to Wunderland with a group of friends and I cannot begin to tell you how awesome our "Marshall" aka the employee James was for our group. This guy joined in, in order for us to have an even team each time and even STAYED for ONE MORE GAME when he was about to go home for the night to play one game with us!! Did this place bring back memories or what!!! Back home in San Diego there was a place just like this same name and everything. The place shut down right after my 10th birthday. I would go here with max $10 and leave with hours of fun and prizes for days! To explain this place is instead of quarters you use nickels. The games are still the same as any arcade but the price to play is lower! This location had a theater and laser tag available for a small price as well. While playing endless games with some friend, and yes me a 25 year old playing arcade games like I was five years old at chuck e cheese, you might get parched. They have small concession stand that is priced lower than your local movie theater by many dollars! Once you're done with all the fun of you old and new aged games they have a prize area where you turn in tickets for prizes. The prizes vary from candy to lava lamp. I suppose I shouldn't expect quality customer service from glorified carnival workers, but the young lady at the front desk was very rude and showed zero compassion for a child who was overheated and needed some relief in the cool evening air. This was a fun arcade. We spend $20, for 2 of us, and had enough change to play for almost an hour. Also, it looks like their movie prices are super cheap. It's kind of small, and they don't have many games for younger kids, but it was still a lot of fun for cheap. We will definitely come here again. read more

Wunderland is basically the poor person's Chuck E Cheese without the pizza. Awesome games for only a nickel (or two or four depending on the game). If you want to kill some time and get rid of some change for cheapy prizes, this is the place to be. I regularly come here for $4 3D movies and large popcorn for cheaper than a small at a Regal Cinemas. The slushies are also delicious. Fun for families and your inner-child! read more

Really Wunderland? Really?? I paid a good chunk of money for a birthday party here. Fine, expected. I had to pay extra for myself and my husband to sit in a blocked off area at the table and not play anything. Really? If you leave and want to re-enter they charge you admission price again. Fine, they've got to prevent people from coming in the morning leaving for hours and then coming back at night, or from going outside and consuming drugs and coming back in. But I accidentally left my wallet sitting visible in the car. My husband paid and so I didn't notice until we sat down that it was missing. Charging me readmission to step within 20ish feet of the front door to get it? Really?? Took off a star for a policy that should allow some common sense. read more

As a lifelong fan of Wunderland (even from when they were in a different location in Gresham years ago), I'll never return! I waited in line with my son while I watched a father in front of me, holding a stack of birthday presents, enter the building. He walked on through the entrance and the employee asked if he had paid to get in. Dumbfounded, he said he had indeed paid and had only left to grab that gifts out of his car. The woman said he had to pay to re-enter and pointed out the sign that said no re-entries. He said, "I'm bringing business to you by having my kid's birthday party here. Are you serious?" She replied that she was serious and those were the rules. The man was shocked and paid the $2 to get back into his son's birthday party. Had I not promised my own son we would spend our afternoon there, I would have turned around and left. I was just as disgusted as him, as was the man in front of me. When we paid our entrance fee, I confronted her about the incident, and like an emotionless robot, she pointed to the sign and said those are the rules! Once inside, I asked to speak to the manager. I explained the whole situation to the manager because it truly disturbed me and really affected that man, who was on the brink of tears of rage when they charged him the measly $2. The manager repeated that it was the rules, and that he could have just asked permission to leave. What kind of a twilight zone is this place in?! For that incident and the careless response from both workers, I'll never come back. When 2 bucks and a silly rule that's clearly better aimed at teens during a busy weekend night are more important than the people that keep your business open, you need to check your priorities. I visit here with my family frequently. Well, I did. They have a no food in the arcade policy, okay, I get that. So, on my way to Wunderland tonight I stopped for coffee planning to wait in their food and drink area while I finished my coffee and my family got started on games. Imagine my surprise when they flat out refused to let me in. The lady at the counter abruptly notified me "NO ENTRY into the game room with outside food or drinks!" - after I'd given admission for 4 kids and 2 adults, mind you. I thought she was joking and said I'd planned to sit in the food and drink area.... No, she let me know, I couldn't enter at all. Note, I wasn't bringing in happy meals, just a medium (half gone) coffee. Yet, to my chagrin I'm forced to wait in the lobby. Minding my own business in the lobby when a rude employee approaches to really enforce their no food rule. I advise her I'm aware of the rule and won't leave the lobby. "No. It can't be in the building. You need to go outside" She tells me. It's 30 degrees outside and this is the most insane thing I've ever heard. I ask her - "if I go outside to drink my coffee in the 30 degree weather, will you recharge me re-entry??" Her response "I will allow you to come back in..." THANK YOU, Wunderland! Thank you kicking me out of your lobby and for allowing your paying patron, someone who brings their family frequently a "free re-entry". Your customer centricity is amazing! Today is my nephew's seventh birthday. My sister had made a reservation for a table, which Wunderland gave to someone else. We decided to stay, mostly because the kids were desperate for some fun. So we made due and sat in the lobby. Shortly after opening our snacks and water, we were told we couldn't have food or drink in the building. We explained the situation and they seemed to not give a care at all (which was easy to tell because the girl asking us to bring our stuff out to the car rolled her eyes). I am highly disappointed in their service (or lack thereof) as well as their inability to fix the problem they caused! AND THEY GOT RID OF SKIBOWL!! Not for adults! The website boasts a 5000 sq ft facility with 100s of arcade and redemption ticket machines. I originally thought this would be lots of state of the art arcade machines, but was disappointed to find the majority of the facility full of skeeball machines and ticket games. I have been to wunderland multiple times and every time Alyssa the manager seems to want to listen to customer complaints but never actually takes action. The only thing Alyssa did was give me a corporate number Which is closed on the weekend so one must leave a message trying to explain. Laser tag is $4 per person which would be fun to play if their laser tag equipment worked properly. The lady named Ashley I believe was very unwelcoming, never explained the rules she simply said watch the video and you should have known the rules. With that being said I could see the video but hear no audio so I could only go by what I thought to do In order for equipment to work properly. Lots of their laser tag equipment malfunctions and all the manager and laser tag employee claim is that it was an operator error and there is nothing wrong with their equipment. I personally asked how often they diagnosis their laser tag equipment to see if it's all in working condition and they claim it all works, but if they do not maintained the devices some will be defective. I have 4 adults and 4 kids wanting to play laser tag and many of them malfunctioned. We simply wanted to play another game or two of laser tag but with teenagers running the place they do not know how to be complaint with their rules. They tell you one thing but renig when there's a small complaint about any devices malfunctioning. Personally I wouldn't recommend as other review state if they are overcrowded it's impossible for their staff to cater to paying customers even if it's for a birthday party. Do not expect to get pizza or any kind of eatery other than beef sticks, candy, soda, and popcorn as they do not allow outside food or drink for parties or just typical guests. I do not typically write long negative reviews but this place is understaffed and the staff there are careless and teenagers with bad attitudes that do not want to be at work. Simply because they have no work ethic and the customer is wrong at this location. I have had a better experience when an older guy was coordinating the laser tag he had great energy and explained the rules to a T. Nowadays the staff is all teamed up and just listens to complaints but then gives you a number that sends you to a voicemail where I hope to get a phone call back where management provides some solid answers to their lack of knowledgable staff. Best advice stay away from this location for parties or visits and go to another location. read more

Nickle arcades are just the best! This one takes the cake with laser tag, 3D movie theater and two full rooms of game. They switched to the cards which I must say is pretty cool because walking around with a bag of nickels and a pocket full of tickets is not very fun. I always have a total blast when I come here. I'm 25 and my significant other is 30, but I tell you what, we get here and we're running around like children high on sugar. Super cheap and the staff are nice. There's been a couple times a machine ate some nickles and they kindly refunded me, no questions. I guess my only complaint would be they made me leave my slushy on the table around the corner where I couldn't see it. I definitely understand them not wanting an accidental spill, but perhaps they could put tables in both the rooms. Call me paranoid, but people do crazy stuff. I need to know my slushy is SAFE! We were told we couldnt go in without paying and when we tried ask about the policy they were very rude. I too have had birthday party hell with this place!!Yes the staff is horribly disrespectful & if there was a way to upload videos you could really see what's up. All of the staff & managers plus the owners whom know about this all and seem to do nothing are all very hurtful. They take extreme pride and pleasure in being disrespectful an getting people to the point to where they will react mind you all while knowing that every parent in there is simply trying to appease a child while not lose control over these people acting the way they are in front of our children. I thus teaching/showing them how to be horrible little persons so once you walk out those doors you have to then say to your kids and work even harder now to teach your children you can't act like these people have and this is a perfect example of how we don't behave!!!! Rude! Disrespectful! The manager told me I was making things a race issue because I was the only one they told not to eat on the floor. White people were eating popsicles, pop corn, and candy on the floor. She asked me did I sit and watch them, I said YES cause I did sit and watch how long it would take them to tell them when they RUSHED to correct me, they never did. I listened anyways but when I spoke to the manager about how I was treated while checking out she asked was I making it a race issue. I told her it had nothing to do with race I just thought it was odd that I was the only one told to go sit down with my food not to mention in a rude manner. She told me that the check stand people should have told me (Ok and how is that my fault?) She proceeded to tell me that her employee was rude because she speaks proper and that was my perception. While getting my kids their toys the same lady was there helping me, she went to another customer next to me (while I was still ordering) So I asked the guy behind her could he help me, she smacked her lips and said in a rude tone "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I said, "I'm still ordering and that's rude for you to help them and I'm still ordering!" I got upset and that's when I ended up speaking to the manager. I can't believe the way I was treated, I told her that I wasn't spending a dime there ever again, she said "That's your problem." Worst customer service, ever. I took my stepson there, put $20 on a game card for him and he unfortunately lost his card. We checked the lost and found with no luck, so I went to the clerk to try to have them tranfer the balance to a new card or at least refund my money. The woman refused to to either and was so rude to my boy when he asked if she could please do something to help, she made him cry. Went on a Friday evening and luckily we were there before the high school crowd started arriving. There are enough games, although there is a lot of empty space. Before we went I had my kids pick out their nickels out of their piggy banks and we took a small ziplock bag. We learned that they actually loaded the money onto a card but the girls at front were nice enough to count the coins. Fun place for kids. read more

A group of friends and I go to wunderland often for laser tag, but last night when we went my boyfriend got one of the slushy things they have and It tasted absolutely disgusting like moldy, dirty water with a little bit of flavor. He asked the guy if he could trade it for a mtn. Dew because he just paid $4 and wasnt satisfied and the guy said "I'll have to charge you or you can get a free ice water". I work at a Camp and we take groups of kids here about once a week every summer. Employees are very kind and helpful. The campers have a blast with the games and laser tag. We signed up for two games of laser tag but after the first one, one of our younger campers was crying and very upset because she thought it was a little scary. I had to sit out the next round of laser tag with the little one and we were out of the allowed game money on our cards but the awesome staff reimbursed us our laser tag cost to our game cards. People really should stop rating this a 1-star, its their pompous little asses that ruin it for the Portland area to have places like these. I get it you had a bad experience, but for fux sake with $15 you can have a great time here including the entrance. Yes please charge the entrance, I dont want a group of bum ass teenage kids all going in to play $3 worth of nickels then just walking around. Everything fun is going to cost money but this is on the lower end of that, and has some pretty great games which cost $1+ to play at other places. They always tell you if you leave you have to pay again, but once I did get permission and didnt have to pay again, so it might depend who you get but staff overall is good, and quite helpful when it comes to laser tag or the VR game. I have been going to all locations for over 10 years now and always have a great time with lots jackpots and memorable moments. I will continue to support wunderland, its great family fun. read more

So Wunderland was once prominent in Portland with several arcade locations they later transformed into redemption centers where kids ran around asking for nickles begging for another chance at the tickets to later spend them on cheap crap. So that's what I was thinking when I entered this location for a birthday party for a 6 year old. present is a movie theater, arcade games, and of course tons of redemption machines, as well as Lazer tag. The fellow said the arena is something like 6000 sq ft. WOW. it is a great maze of corridors The price is moderate and the facility was well staffed and clean. Big surprise to my expectation. The party area is rather slim and nothing special. the general layout is poorly thought out and not very organic. The kids had an ok time with the nickles spent faster than a blink of the eye. with most games costing .20 a game it was no surprise. They would get more out of me if the games ran .10 at least I would feel like it wasn't such trickery. $ stars for the movie theater, the lazer tag and the staff. read more

This place would be great if the staff went so stuck up and just rude, I don't understand the reason of giving an emission ticket if your not allowed to re enter, I asked to go outside for a sec to get my kids bag to change her. We LOVE this place! Its really fun for kids especially age 5-8 and some fun adult games too. Its an arcade that costs between 5-20cents to play each game and most all games payout at least one ticket. Its better than chuck e cheese because you get lots more tickets and lots more prizes to choose from, and yes, they actually do have a jackpot payout for someone in the room nearly each time we go. My son once got like 500 tickets- they were spewing out everywhere! Very fun place, and very economical if you want to have a BIRTHDAY party here. Highly recommended! read more

Arcade games, movies, and Laser tag. As a kid these activities were my favorite and now as a 19 year old I still have a great time. My friends and I were trying to find time to waste while we found wonderland entertainment in Gresham. Price: The arcade games were 5 cents not 25 cents. If you did not bring change with you. For a couple dollars they would give you a bag of change! The movies are super cheap and great for little kids. Laser tag is 4 dollars a person for 15 minutes! Space: There is two large areas of arcade games, a room for laser tag, and tables for adults to sit at or eat at. Food: You are able to get food and drinks there but the only bummer thing is, is there is no outside food or drinks allowed in the building. Laser tag: My friends and I loved there laser tag area. The space was great and it was laid out great. Lots of room and there was always a ton of people playing. We played multiple times and would recommend it to all ages. Experience: I had an overall great time, it's a little packed on Friday and Saturday nights but it's still worth trying it out for how great the prices were to play games, watch movies, and play laser tag! read more
