Claimed the line was crushed and left charging me $526 for 100' of cable. Arranged to meet with a plumber at my location to have pipe dug and replaced. When I called to discuss why I was charged for cable and request that I at least be given the additional 40' of cable I had been charged for I was told, "If you're going to be all weird about it we won't come Friday" (to meet with the plumber). Day 2: Plumber arrives with rented backhoe. Right Choice arrives and videotapes their equipment stuck in my pipe which is filled with water. The clog is located 3' from the sewer main in the middle of the road. The plumber leaves as he is not prepared to deal with tearing up the roadway. He did ask RightChoice to hydro-jet from the sewer main back towards my property. Right Choice did that and then left claiming the pipe was crushed and I would need to have it replaced. Day 3: I go into basement and discover cable laying on basement floor. I am able to remove the entire 60' using one hand as the other is in a sling post surgery. I call to request my money back for the 'stuck' cable. After several minutes of debate I was told, "You're just trying to get something for nothing." And was then hung up on. Day 17: Phil's Electric Drain Service comes and videos the root ball left by Right Choice, Roots the drain clean and videos the clean and uncrushed pipe. Total bill from Right Choice= $1496.25 Phil's Electric Drain Service = $275

Despite telling him that turning on the water caused flooding, he did so anyway, which, of course, only caused further flooding that I had to clean up myself afterwards. After about five minutes, in which he was talking out loud, clearly confused, not understanding what was going on, he told me he could not fix the issue and said that we needed a plumber. We were then told there would be a $145 service charge for coming out, but we were only informed of this service charge after "their work" was done, which lasted just five minutes and only caused further flooding. When I told him we were never informed about any service charge, they reduced the fee to $125. This will be our first and last time ever contacting Phil's Electric Drain Service, and I recommend you do the same due to their lack of expertise and extremely unethical practices that exploit those who use their services.
