After my basement flooded, I contacted Southern Lakes Plumbing & Heating, who recommended Phil's Electric Drain Service to fix the issue. When he arrived, I explained what was going on. Despite telling him that turning on the water caused flooding, he did so anyway, which, of course, only caused further flooding that I had to clean up myself afterwards. After about five minutes, in which he was talking out loud, clearly confused, not understanding what was going on, he told me he could not fix the issue and said that we needed a plumber. We were then told there would be a $145 service charge for coming out, but we were only informed of this service charge after "their work" was done, which lasted just five minutes and only caused further flooding. When I told him we were never informed about any service charge, they reduced the fee to $125. This will be our first and last time ever contacting Phil's Electric Drain Service, and I recommend you do the same due to their lack of expertise and extremely unethical practices that exploit those who use their services. read more

Came out same day! Very efficient and worked very hard to help me clean my complicated sewage system! I had been told from another company that i would need to replace my pipes and after Phil's came out for a thorough cleaning it turned out i did not! Professional, honest and hardworking! Our Company and various personnel have been serviced By Phil's Drain Service over the years and they have provided exceptional service time after time and are great to work with. Recently we had a very unique long narrow plugged pipe in our industrial facility, Phil agreed to give it his best, and he did, using a special water jet, it wasn't easy and he got 'er done, problem solved. And Kathy in their office...day of, could not reach me, went the extra mile tacking down the cell number to our maintenance guy and worked around a rainy day and made the visit happen. I wanted to put a review out there right away. This company is amazing! I called on 3/25 and they came out at 8:15 this morning 3/26 ..15 minutes before scheduled time..I loved that!! My bathroom sink was stopped up and everything we personally did it would not unclog, Joe and Q who were very friendly and professional went right to work and no time at all they had it working, they also had to go on the roof so it was doubly impressive. No mess was left so I didn't even have to clean! When they gave me the invoice I was very impressed how reasonable it was!!! Phil was awesome. We had a backed up septic tank that hadn't been cleaned out in years and was a real conundrum in finding the tank. He worked diligently and optimistically- reporting his findings as he worked. He solved the problem and was able to route out the pipes and get everything running smoothly again. Woke up this morning to a nice sized puddle in the basement that looked like it backed up from the floor drain. Got a referral to Phil's from a local plumber and they got here just after lunch. Great timing considering they had already started their day and had multiple calls booked. They broke out that industrial strength roto-rooter tool and knocked it right out. Turned out to be tree branches in the waste water pipe between the house and the street. The guys were great and very professional. We had a sewer back up in the basement, which was very messy (one of the many challenges of owning a 100+ year old house in Beloit's Historic District.) Phil's Electric Drain Service from Clinton cleared the main line all the way from the basement to the street! Well over 100 feet. They worked hard and steadily, reported their findings, made recommendations and, best of all, charged a reasonable price! Fast and efficient; they cleaned up behind themselves when finished. They will be my first call next time this happens (it is only a matter of time, what with tree roots clogging pipes, etc.) They came highly recommended and I will recommend them to everyone I know! After calling around they were one of a very few that could do the job on the sewer line in our 1920's home. They arrived prior to the appointment time, but called ahead to let us know they were on their way. They didn't mind my husband over their shoulders, but patiently answered his questions and educated him on what they were doing at each step. They were fast and courteous.
