It is a rustic, outdoorsy camp, no cell phones allowed here! Camp Mah-Kah-Wee is a Girl Scout camp. They offer programs throughout they year for girls and have overnight camps during the summer. I have been to Mah-Kah-Wee many times over the years with my daughters, and I really appreciate that we have a facility like this so close to home. The camp surrounds a lake so there are many water activities like canoeing and kayaking available during the summer. There is also a swimming pool. They offer all of the standard camp activities like archery and crafts and they also have an obstacle course. My kids love this place. During the summer the week-long camps are themed so you can find something to match your child's interests. As for the facilities, the best place to stay is in the cabins. They have air conditioning! In Florida you NEED air conditioning in the summer. I've also chaperoned overnights in the tents, which aren't so bad, and a building they call the Eco Center, which is a bit more like a enclosed porch... no AC there. Overall, it's a great place. I highly recommend it. The prices for overnight camp are very good and the kids have a great time.

It is an ideal environment to dedicate an entire day to exploration, offering a depth of engagement that holds the attention of young minds while remaining intellectually stimulating. The facility's approach to hands-on exhibits is sophisticated and well-structured, fostering a genuine interest in scientific inquiry. From the intricacies of the planetarium shows to the immersive nature of the giant-screen and 3-D films, every element of the museum is curated to facilitate active learning. It is an impressive example of how to make complex subjects accessible and exciting for a broad audience. For any family seeking an environment where curiosity is not just encouraged but actively facilitated, this center stands out as a highly rewarding experience.

I…read morebecame a member of the Orlando science center over Christmas break because we had so much fun on our first visit and now I get emails all the time about fun new events going on at the museum. One of them happened to be the mess fest that was going on this past weekend. So we decided to head out to Orlando and let me tell you it was so much fun!! They transformed one of their rooms into a fun place for the kids to get messy. You were catapulting scrunchie balls covered in paint onto a canvas sheet. There was another area where they were doing little bottle rockets with paint and Alka-Seltzer. That my kids absolutely LOVED. They also had scribble bots, a raffle painting for canvas paintings but that's not all because they had other stuff going on different floors. We got to make our own slime and we even got to go outside and watch them use liquid nitrogen to cause a bubbly explosion that the kids got to play afterwards. This was a 10 out of 10 experience.

My son likes Ninja Warrior, but we hadn't ever been to this place prior to the party. I can definitely say we will be going back! We had the 12 kid package, but they have a larger package available if you are wanting to invite more kids. It was a great price, which includes two hours of fun & 30 minutes of set up beforehand. The party room is upstairs & you have the upstairs area & obstacles all to yourself during the party time. They start by warming the kids up, then they guide them through obstacle courses for an hour or so, then to the party room for whatever food/cake you bring for about 15 minutes, then open gym for the last 45 minutes. The workers were wonderful! They did a great job handling a bunch of first graders. They helped the kids on all the obstacles, if they needed assistance. Other than the set up (30 minutes before the party) & helping with food/cake when they are in the room, the staff handled the rest. You can bring whatever food you'd like! It's about 5 minutes away from Millenia Costco, so we ordered pizzas, which was convenient to pick up. Would definitely recommend for your kiddo's birthday party!

When we came in, there was absolutely no one there so we had the entire place to ourselves! Robin, one of the trainers, was extremely helpful in giving us the layout of the gym and answered any questions we had. This place is huge and has a ton of obstacles! There's a kids/beginner section upstairs, which we started at. We then moved on to the ground floor which had all the fun stuff. They have almost every obstacle from the American Ninja Warrior TV show, from the wing nuts to the warped wall. They even have the mega wall (18 ft tall I believe)! I will say, I wish there was the bouncing spider obstacle, but I wouldn't be surprised if they rotate out other obstacles every now and then. Maybe it just wasn't that when I went. Most obstacles are padded so when you fall you don't hurt yourself. There were also extra pads you're able to move around for extra cushion. This gym is every Ninja's dream, both kids and adults alike. I'd even go as far to recommend this place for regular active adults looking for something fun to do in the Orlando area. You might not be able to do everything, but hey, if you aren't falling, you aren't having fun. For open gym, it's $20 per person, which is pretty standard for ninja gyms and we spent about an hour and a half here. Pro tip: come on a Saturday morning. You'll have the whole gym to yourself.

I had peeked into Artroom several times finally last year I signed up for a class - the format was really nice ( adult oil ) first weeks all newbies were given a beginners project and Linda walked us through it in detail sharing wonderful tips that I did not even get from Valencia professors - no offense - most importantly her expertise in teaching and reading the class is incredible - she knows each student their capabilities strengths individually and coaches accordingly - giving honest constructive feedback in a very warm manner. People joke that it is a lot cheaper than therapy and works even better. After the initial project everyone works on a project they want and Linda coaches everyone individually on their projects finding bringing resources - recommending references. It is a group class so this level of individualism surprised me in a good way. My only regret is that I did not find artroom sooner
