I am a beginner to this culture and did not know what to expect. My wife and I went there for an initial lesson. We met Warren who talked with us while we were waiting for the instructor DJ. He was a real professional and walked us through the initial questions about how much of a beginner with both were. He then introduced us to the steps of selecting a gun and and how to handle it safely. I want to emphasize that safety is a big aspect of this business. We then were handed over to DJ who got us to the level where we actually fired guns on the range. Both Warren and DJ were exceptional teachers and extremely knowledgable. This was my first shooting range experience and the staff are friendly and knowledgable, and the facility is perfect. The pricing is very reasonable and I had a great time shooting without breaking my wallet. I got to shoot multiple 9mm handguns on a variety of paper targets which they also have. They have ear protection to rent out so you really just need to show up with an ID and a form of payment. I've been here twice already and am looking forward to my next time shooting! read more

I went to Oak Ridge Gun Range and the experience was excellent! Jorge was super attentive, taught us everything, was very welcoming and friendly. The whole staff is great and makes the place feel comfortable and easygoing. The prices are very affordable, much cheaper than I expected. The guns are good quality and it's really easy for beginners because they show you everything step by step, answer all your questions, and make sure you feel safe. You don't need any kind of license, you just show up, choose your gun, buy your ammo, and shoot as much as you want. The best part is you can switch guns whenever you like without paying extra fees. I found these people to be extremely rude and unorganized (unorganizedx10). I regret buying a gun and ammo from them. I laugh every time I drive pass them, to a further gun range. I live up the street from you assholes. Since my last experience with this gun shop (6 months ago), I have spent over $5,000.00 on guns/ammo/range. 5K in 6 months! That could have been yours! Lately I've been going around places exploring and reading reviews all over to figure out the more popular places with great service, friendly staff, and just general ambience. This is definitely one of my top 3 places I've been to go to the range ! Staff were very friendly l, informative and quick with the process to get us inside for our entertainment! Store was small, but very unique in the sense of layout and size of the range. Best part might've been that it was not crowded at all. I feel the best time to go here would be during the week! I really enjoyed the range and appreciate the cleanliness they enforce to keep the place neat, today, and safe for all shooters. I personally went with a couple of friends and this is probably the first time going here and we all were very impressed! They only allow handguns at this range , but you are Able to purchase variety of them in store. I will be coming back sometime in the future! read more

Great place to buy your weapons, staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Right away I was asked if I was already being helped. Due to time constraints and having to pick up my daughter from school I had to leave before the approval came back but was reassured our weapon was going to be here set to the side. Will definitely be coming back to make more purchases as they have a wife selection of weapons, the entire staff is helpful and best part of it all... is that they have a shooting range right on premise! Great gun shop. I attended the Conceal Carry Class and it's priced less than other places. Customer service is great, shoutout to Jada and Luis, they are knowledgeable without being pushy. I felt comfortable and all my questions were answered. I think there are 7 shooting lanes but due to social distancing only every other is open. Rental program is great, 30 days of free range time with your gun purchase and certain days of the week there are specials. It's a great spot with a homey feel. read more

We had four in our party. The sign on the door said only 4 people were allowed in at one time. When we entered, there were at least 12 people inside. There were six or seven employees available but NO direction, like they were trying to help everyone at once, classical cluster. Despite verifying in advance (Wednesday), that they provided safety equipment, there were NO eyes or ears provided. BIG safety factor! Entered a rather dark range and set up. The guy next to us couldn't burn ammo fast enough and did his best to replicate full auto even though each lane had a sign forbidding rapid fire. Never saw an RO the entire hour we were there??? Maybe in better times this is a nice place but I have 40 years in as an RO and Instructor and I can tell you, they needed supervision. read more

First time going to this place It's a good range they have a good Amount of weapon selection..only gripe I had is when I got signed in and I was shooting my AR for like an hour and half they failed to mention that there range doesn't allow rifles calibers and I had to basically stop using my rifle it was an inconvenience and they really need to make sure they ask people what weapon are they using because of safety hazard ..they didn't charge me and over all they're great people and great place for practicing with your handgun read more

My review for this place will be as a range, and also as a gun store. Recently, I've been on the hunt for a new gun. I had a specific gun in mind that I really wanted to try before buying. Unfortunately most indoor ranges only have a finite amount of models available, and there is not usually a lot of deviation from that. The closest range that has this particular model was in Tampa, and after telling him my story, the owner sounded sympathetic. He assured me that he would order the gun, and I could try it out at the range. Even if I hated it, he would keep it on as a range gun, and simply charge me the range time and ammo. It was a deal I couldn't pass up, and frankly quite unheard of in the gun industry. After putting 100 rounds through it, I decided it wasn't for me. I had been between that, and another gun, and honestly wanted to purchase the other model I had shot previously. While I desperately wanted to give them my business, they simply couldn't compare to the prices of competitors in the area. It's nothing personal, but I couldn't pass up the better price at a different shop. I was honestly upset that I couldn't buy the gun I wanted from such a great shop. As a range, however, this place is absolutely top notch. The facility itself looks a little dated, but honestly it's the most functional range in town. All the other ranges I've been to have ventilation issues, no actual ac, poor lighting, etc. This range has none of those issues. Also, their staff is easily the friendliest, and most knowledgeable around. There is definitely a stigma when it comes to "gun guys" and the folks I've met there are quite the opposite. The are there for the sake of helping people make educated choices along with providing safety tips for beginners. Once I get the new gun, this will definitely become my new "home range" cheers! read more

I'd regard this as the best range in Orlando. Usually when you go to a gun range, the staff are extremely rude and condescending. There's only a couple of those at Oakridge. Most are friendly and helpful. If you are a first time shooter, this is the place for you. They have a wide variety of weapons to choose from and a number of different targets. Someone will go to your lane and show you how to load and fire the gun if you need the assistance. If you're comfortable, they will just leave you to yourself. If you are bringing your own firearm, I'd recommend bringing your own ammo too. It's not crazy expensive here, but you'll find your own somewhere a little cheaper. TOURISTS: BRING.... YOUR.... PASSPORT...!!!!!!!!! (And also be careful. It's fun and you'll get carried away. Your bill can get very big, very quickly). read more

Friendly employees at the counter and a good selection of guns, but there are only 7 lanes and was busy on Sunday, although people were in and out fast so we didn't have to wait for a lane. The only complaint was a big one, the ventilation was terrible so the air didn't clear, making the gun smoke unbearable after a short period of time(lead isn't good for you either), cutting our time down. Its pretty good but I'm not a raving fan. A gun range is a gun range. I shoot wimpy guns like LadySmith 32 and Caliber 18. Target shooting practice on a piece of paper marked in neon orange w/ earmuffs and goggles. Pretty standard. Just be careful the guys there hit on underage girls all the time. The service here is usually good, depending on who is helping you. I visit about twice a month because it's the closest range to me but there are a few things I wish were better. The air circulation in the range is minimal as compared to other ranges I've been to. Many times you end up inhaling lots of gun smoke by the end of your visit. The other issue I have is the temperature. On most visits, I walk out of there in a major sweat. In the past year, I can remember only two or three times when it felt comfortable in the range. My last visit, which was less than a week ago, the thermostat read 83 degrees. I see no reason for this other than them wanting to save a few bucks on the electric bill, and/or they want people to not feel so comfortable so they can leave and give the lane to the next customer. Overall a decent range with a few issues that could be worked on. read more

It's a gun range. Yeah, the range area itself is smaller, I think it has maybe 10 lanes or so? The guys at the front area were nice and cool. But the prices..ahh the prices. They are higher in price than the range I usually go to. East Orange Shooting Sports is cheaper for range time and extremely cheaper ($10) for gun rental. Range time: $13.00 (no ammo purchase) 12.00 (with ammo purchase) $10.00 for additional shooter. I'm not sure what ammo prices are, but their ear protection is SUPER flimsy. I have my own but forgot it at home so had to use theres and it sucks :( They have a lot of guns for sale here, but they are a little bit on the higher end, but then, if you buy a gun you get free range time for a month, so you should factor the higher price difference with how often you'd plan to go to the range to see if you're getting a good deal or not. Had I bought a gun from them, I would have for sure taken advantage of the free range time. Oh, one thing that was kind of annoying was like every 15 minutes a guy would come back to yell "everyone clean up your brass" So you have to stop what your doing, grab a broom and sweep your shells into a pan and then into a bucket. While I agree tidiness is helpful for a more enjoyable experience..it's kind of annoying. Plus, they make money off those empty shells...why are we doing their work for them? lol. Would I go again? Only on ladies day! Friday= $5.00 Range time. (East Orange is 5.00 on Monday for the ladies). Or if someone was paying for me :) read more

Shooting a gun has never been more fun. The service was friendly and helpful. You get a sense that the employees really love their job. Showing off a taser brings smiles to their faces ,joking about how to impress someone on a first date with it. lol. All kidding aside, its a great place to shoot your gun, buy a gun, or get educated on different types and models. The first time I went there, I picked up a pretty nice Ruger .38 Police Special, used, for a decent price. I got a month's worth of free range time and a class to teach me how to operate my new beauty. The second time around, I was hit on obnoxiously by one of the employees and the gun prices were out of this world expensive. I wouldn't go back based on the annoying treatment alone, but I most certainly wouldn't buy a second gun for those prices. If you must go, ask to speak to Cookie. I bought my first gun there and and have been there on several occasions to shoot at the range. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable (but some of them have been downright cold) during the buying process but I was led to believe I was looking at a new gun (it wasn't, instead it was considered "like new"). I ended up paying brand new prices for a used gun that although being "like new" had some obvious scuff marks and signs of use or misuse. My fault for not being more diligent in my purchases but I felt I was somewhat misled and not given full disclosure about what I was buying. No worries, it won't happen again and I won't be buying any future firearms here ever. They happen to be overpriced compared to several other gun stores around Orlando anyway. They have a good selection of firearms but it's overshadowed by the high markup in price compared to other shops. As for the actual range the prices, I believe, are reasonable. The lanes are decent. Not great, not terrible. It is dimly lit inside making target acquisition harder and they don't accept rifle fire unless it is in pistol caliber rounds. So don't bother going there with your AR unless it shoots .22. Too bad I'm not a "one and done" buyer. I plan on collecting several more over time. It just won't be here. Their loss. read more

Range is decent kinda small but for target practice it is good. The staff is very knowledgeable but my experience with them all was very unpleasant. They where extremely arrogant and had these know it all attitudes. I wouldn't recommend this place if your new to guns as I am but if your not gonna ask questions to the staff then this location isn't that bad. Note to the staff members: check your attitudes most people are gonna ask you questions you've heard a million times before, be patient with us the beginners you'll get a lot further with kindness and patience. As with any range, I would recommend buying your target ammo at Wal-Mart or another store rather than at the range. They do have a pretty nice selection of higher-end ammo that would be great for personal carry weapons. read more
