Two thumbs up for Ninja Obstacle Academy! We did my son's 7th birthday party there today & it was great! My son likes Ninja Warrior, but we hadn't ever been to this place prior to the party. I can definitely say we will be going back! We had the 12 kid package, but they have a larger package available if you are wanting to invite more kids. It was a great price, which includes two hours of fun & 30 minutes of set up beforehand. The party room is upstairs & you have the upstairs area & obstacles all to yourself during the party time. They start by warming the kids up, then they guide them through obstacle courses for an hour or so, then to the party room for whatever food/cake you bring for about 15 minutes, then open gym for the last 45 minutes. The workers were wonderful! They did a great job handling a bunch of first graders. They helped the kids on all the obstacles, if they needed assistance. Other than the set up (30 minutes before the party) & helping with food/cake when they are in the room, the staff handled the rest. You can bring whatever food you'd like! It's about 5 minutes away from Millenia Costco, so we ordered pizzas, which was convenient to pick up. Would definitely recommend for your kiddo's birthday party! read more

I came here for open gym on a Saturday morning, just my girlfriend and I. A little background, I'm definitely not a ninja myself, but I do frequently go to the gym and try to stay active when I can. I've been to ninja gyms a couple times in Houston and Dallas. When we came in, there was absolutely no one there so we had the entire place to ourselves! Robin, one of the trainers, was extremely helpful in giving us the layout of the gym and answered any questions we had. This place is huge and has a ton of obstacles! There's a kids/beginner section upstairs, which we started at. We then moved on to the ground floor which had all the fun stuff. They have almost every obstacle from the American Ninja Warrior TV show, from the wing nuts to the warped wall. They even have the mega wall (18 ft tall I believe)! I will say, I wish there was the bouncing spider obstacle, but I wouldn't be surprised if they rotate out other obstacles every now and then. Maybe it just wasn't that when I went. Most obstacles are padded so when you fall you don't hurt yourself. There were also extra pads you're able to move around for extra cushion. This gym is every Ninja's dream, both kids and adults alike. I'd even go as far to recommend this place for regular active adults looking for something fun to do in the Orlando area. You might not be able to do everything, but hey, if you aren't falling, you aren't having fun. For open gym, it's $20 per person, which is pretty standard for ninja gyms and we spent about an hour and a half here. Pro tip: come on a Saturday morning. You'll have the whole gym to yourself. read more

We have a love for Ninja Warrior and the fact that they have Ninja warrior kids is awesome. My niece and nephew go to a gym in Broward (Shout out to Ninja Street academy) and they absolutely love it. My nephew has really been focused on getting to the competition on TV and man he is focused ( he's rocking a 12 pack at 7 years old). What we love is that all these gyms have competitions to get better, train harder, and reach your ultimate goal. We came here for one of the competitions and were impressed with their obstacle course. They even had a warm up course upstairs. Did I mention this place is huge and it helps that 2 of the coaches there were actual ninja warriors! What we love about these competitions is although very competitive, these kids show great sportsmanship and support eachother regardless of whatever team their on. They give high 5"s and all. Another thing is they never diss another gym. They too support one another and tell inquiring people what gym would be close to them depending where they live. It all just builds good character and great friendships. People from all over come to these competitions, we love it. Next month we go out of state. I'm telling you my nephew just turned 8 but he will reach his goal of becoming a ninja warrior kid. So if you meet any of these kids training at these gyms you'll notice a little pep in their step. With all the love, support, and guidance from similar kids and coaches all wanting the same goals it's always such a positive environment for all! read more

Pretty disappointed. This place looked cool online. But for $28/hr I was really expecting a lot more coaching and a lot less kids idly waiting around. But it was really the guys attitude that was shocking. For someone who's running a homeschool class he clearly thinks pretty poorly of them. And somehow managed to throw a backhanded compliment into the conversation as well. Hopefully the rest of the staff isn't like that. Cost wise, probably only worth it if you're going 2+ times a week and getting the membership. read more

A little about me I'm the geriatric Ninja (age 48) and this joint has EVERYTHING you need to learn ninja from the beginning. It is a long process to becoming proficient at this. I've been at it 5 years now and you're never too old to start! The most important thing is to have realistic expectations. Unless you regularly do this sport give yourself time to adjust. It took me months to fly (and land) my first lache (flying bar to bar) and once you get it it's seriously addictive! This pic is halfway between a 6 ft flight. They have bars closer right next to this and upstairs there's even trapeezes to learn first. Over time your hands will toughen and your ligaments will too but be patient. It's not like any other sport. I can do 25 pullups today and still could last only 1 hour! It's truly humbling and this will make you appreciate what you see on TV. This gym has classes for all ages and abilities. You're never too old to try it and once you fly you may never be happy as a grounded person anymore! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and can coach you no matter your skill level. The facility is easy to find and park at. If in Orlando and you want a serious challenge come on by and get your Ninja on! read more

Don't take your child here, instructor/owner is horrible with kids. They had a great instructor that left the program, and I see why. After taking my kids to a class with the owner as the instructor, I would be surprised if they are able to keep the doors open much longer. He made my child cry, we left 10 minutes into the class and were refused a refund. Wouldn't even refund us for classes paid in advance for a different instructor that we never and would never attend. It was a learning lesson for my kids about the difference in good teachers and bad teachers. read more

We have been to 6 Ninja gyms in 3 different states, and this is the top one for beginners to advanced skill levels, and is scaled to be safe for kids as young as 5/6. Although the obstacles are lower, so shorter fall distances to mats, they are still high enough, and technically challenging enough for adults. RJ Roman and Jason Kotzin who are the main coaches, both competed on the show, and RJ has made stage 2 and 3 in the finals! Both teach age appropriately, and challenge individual students based on their ability to maximize their development. It is only 1.5 yrs old, clean, and air conditioned which is huge in Florida; it has 8, 10, and 12 foot warped walls, cliff hanger area, wingnuts, medium size and difficulty bouldering wall, and Robin (super positive co-owner) helps to design and build new obstacles almost every month. If you want higher adult scaled obstacles, that go all the way to 14' wall, spider walls, and infinite rope climb, NinjaFitGym is the place to go (also co-owned by Chad). One minor negative there is that it is not air conditioned, so optimal in winter. A side note is they also offer Spartan and OCR training plus WoD training. Overall, great staff at both locations, plenty of challenges for all ages at both locations, but if just starting out, or summer time, I would start at Obstacle Ninja Academy. read more

Awesome place for kids and adults. It's great for beginners and anyone looking to get kids exercise...but it also has all the obstacles needed for serious ninja athletes. My son has been training there for a little over a year. Coaches there have extensive experience in Ninja competitions including on the show ANW. We have been taken both our 5 year old and 8 year old to this facility for the last 6 months. It is hands down the best ninja gym in the area. I felt I had to write this after reading the other review because it sounded like a completely different gym. This ninja gym is very clean and my kids ninja coach, Jason, is absolutely incredible. He is patient and a very good instructor. He has really helped my kids gain a ton of confidence and they can't wait to go back each time. The facility is practically brand new. In fact I believe it just opened up when we started our kids there. All the obstacles are brand new and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I spoke with one of the owners, Rob (I think) and he is actually an engineer that helps design the obstacles. There always seems to be something new every time we go and my kids love trying the new ones. All in all, I have had a great experience here and my kids have grown a lot physically and personally. I am extremely happy and from talking with the other parents there, so are they. Word of caution, you may find yourself staying and trying the obstacles like I did. You do not think it is a work out but I was sore for a week! read more

This is the best ninja obstacle course in the whole state of Florida! You can come with people of all skill levels! I absolutely love this place, and everyone that works there is really friendly and know how to help you on any obstacle. This place was fun because my friends and I wanted to see if we could do the obstacles that were on the show, and we had an amazing time doing it. This place only cost $20 for one time but I recommend the monthly membership if you plan on using this place as your workout spot. This place is great for people who want to try something new, as well as the avid ninja. Definitely would recommend to a friend! read more
