I was a CNA in the past, but since it was so long ago, I knew I needed a refresher. I signed up for the weekend course at this facility. I was pleased to see that the class sizes are small. I felt comfortable asking questions and was able to bond with my fellow students. Kamari was a great instructor and Tonya is very knowledgeable as well. Both of them are happy to help you and really work with you to improve your confidence in practicing the skills. As an added bonus, I'm welcome to come back to observe other classes before my exam to make sure I understand the skills properly. The owners are very involved with the classes and even serve as instructors from time to time. This involvement gave school leadership the ability to give a student the benefit of the doubt if a test score didn't reflect a student's mastery of a concept in practice, and provided additional instruction if needed. The administrative structure is light and nimble - compared to the top-heavy bureaucracy of a university of community college - and most issues were resolved with a single email or phone call. Or a visit the school president's office - who's door was always open, but was more likely found popping into classes to check for "issues, problems, complaints". Covid-19 locked the world down just before our midterm and, while others schools shutting down and delaying graduations, FRTG kept us on track. With all that said, I definitely recommend the school.
