Great place with an amazing selection. Nice indoor range too. Staff is friendly & courteous. They make you feel at home.

Gun range is okay but the place sucks you can't shoot ar15s there unless you have a membership really stupid , & when I went in the range officer only checked my firearm and grabbed my weapon out my bag to check if it's "clear" I didn't really like that I know they have protocol and stuff but that was super unnecessary Felt like I was being watched the whole time. read more

LeadFeather - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

Went in as they were the only LGS that had a Springfield Kuna in stock. I called ahead to check and they let me know they had one left on the wall. I headed over there quickly and was able to hold it in hand check it out and opted to buy it. The guys there were super chill. All of them made conversation from talking about other PCCs to even discussing our carry's and cerakoting. The system was moving a bit slow because this happened to be the day that AWS crashed, but they still managed to get everything cleared and processed and let me know that if anything happened with the card charge to let them know and they'd rectify it asap (nothing did happen). I think that their prices were fair and maybe even better than other "big box" shops from everything else I saw on display. This will likely be my regular LGS moving forward. read more

On March 23, 2025, I purchased an "In Stock" rifle from Will Reynolds for $1127 using my credit card. On March 25, 2025, I called him and was told the gun was never in stock and a refund would be provided. Will Reynolds threatened to sue me for complaining when he did not issue a refund. I asked for my credit card to issue a chargeback, and finally got my money back due to this on April 11, 2025. Don't make the mistake I did. Avoid this company. read more

I was starting a security job. I went to pick up a fire striker. Weapon, I like the clock I was talked into. A sick they told me the sig had a better trigger and better sights. I went home with the gun, started my classes. My job told me I could not use that gun. It was unsafe for the gun range. It was unsafe for my classes. It was unsafe for work. $900 down the f****** tube. This company refused to take back the gun that they sold to me. That is basically a lemon cannot use. It is unsafe to use. They won't return it. They won't exchange it. They lie to me about the weapon that I was gonna be able to use. They lied to me about what it could do. There's places full of nothing but lies do not spend your money at this place. Find anywhere else to go, do not buy from this store ever. They are liars, they do not back up what they sell read more

place was 10/10 helped my dad with his sites and staff was extremely hands on. if you're ever in the area please stop in!!

Excellent range and store! I've been coming here for years since it opened for the range and purchasing firearms. The owner and staff are great and helpful and always received a good deal on new firearms and ones that I traded in. The range is also very comfortable, and I seem to shoot better there since it's very relaxed atmosphere. read more

I had placed an online order for a firearm and that had issues with shipping from the manufacturer. Matt was able to offer me an option that they had in stock at a discount so that I would not have to wait for a a reorder. I believe that I ended up with a much better gun at a great price. Thanks to Matt, LeadFeather has earned a customer for life. read more

These guys and gals are great! I purchased a pistol. They helped me every step of the way. From picking out an appropriate caliper to ammo and accessories. I also took the concealed weapons class. Everyone I encountered was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Leadfeather. read more

LeadFeather - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

I went here to get a magazine for my sig sauer, it was about the same price as what I could get it for through the manufacturer, actually a little more, but I was willing to pay the extra money to have it the same day and support a Winter Haven business. I inquired about ammunition while I was there because when I called to check the stock of the magazine I was told that they have more ammo than anyone in Florida. I have a law enforcement background and now with for the government, so I'm pretty familiar with firearms. They only had three brands in stock, federal was the only one I had heard of, and the prices were sky high. 20 rounds from a company that I never heard of was 58 bucks, full metal jacket federal 50 rounds was almost 90 bucks. When I asked what was special about the bullets, they said, "well a bullet is a bullet, so it don't really matter, they all get it done." I was curious why it was so crazy expensive. I asked about the price and it's way overpriced. When I said, "whoa, that's kinda high, don't worry about it" the employee said, "good luck finding that online because you ain't gonna get it for less than a hundred." I ordered from Brownells, critical duty Hornady (a great duty +p round) for 48 bucks, 25 rounds of ammo, shipping and taxes included. They arrived today. I know that ammo is hard to come by. I am also appreciative of local business and don't mind paying extra to support them. That in mind I found their prices way, way, way overpriced and out of character; including comparing to online companies with shipping and tax. They could order it directly like I did and cut cost to the consumer; In fact, the magazine I got would cheaper had I ordered it directly from sig sauer. The most direct thing that effected me as a customer is the way I was talked down to and treated, like I didn't know anything. I didn't name or agency drop, kept my badge in my pocket, and just went there as an honest customer without giving a resume because I shouldn't have to. It's very disappointing. I read the other reviews, they're pretty much the same regarding prices. Academy sports and outdoors is close by in Orlando, Bass Pro in Tampa, and Gander in Bartow all have ammo in stock. If not, I'll order from Brownells or another online company that will not only save me money, but will be more respectful to their customers. read more

Be cautious when buying from Leadfeather. Bought a box of 9mm ammo on sale come to find out after driving away and opening the bag that they are factory seconds that may have primers that don't ignite. The box had a sticker on it stating that they were factory seconds but I never got to see the box because it was put in a bag and was never told they were factory seconds. When I called them to see if I could just bring them back because I had just left the store. I was told "that's why they were on sale" and no returns on ammo. I feel like I got swindled. If only they would have been honest up front I could have made a decision rather or not to buy them. I think they went out of their way to way to not show me the sticker or inform me that they were factory seconds. read more

Recently purchased a firearm here; we were very pleased with the service and item. The associate that helped us when we made our purchase wasn't wearing a name tag so I cannot credit him. But he was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. After going back after the holding period, we were helped by Bill. He was so friendly, attentive and a wealth of knowledge! Great staff here. They seem to always be busy. Like, busy! But they have a huge staff, so waiting time isn't usually too long. They're happy to let you handle whatever you'd like, and will take the time you need to make the right purchase. The variety is huge. This is a big place; lots of choices and colors and accessories, you name it. They've also got a small range, and offer conceal carry classes. Their classes appear to offer more than a typical CC class, too, with free lunch included. One thing to note, is that you are not allowed to wear a mask inside. I get it; it's a gun shop. But I also get that it's a turn off for some people and worth noting. Very pleased with our purchase! read more

Great, Great place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. even the Glock lover!! Wide selection of just about everything you need for shooting. Military friendly. Thoroughly enjoy going there. read more

Rude, snotty salespeople. Salesperson actually got mad at us as customers. He did not want to take the time to find out what we were looking for before basically yelling at us. Two different salespeople displayed rude attitudes. One young man was indifferent and didn't want to be bothered. He mumbled and could not have been less help, basically displaying an incredibly arrogant attitude. I was there to purchase ammo after speaking with them on the phone about a high volume discount, which they said they would do on the phone, but were not willing to do in the store. I was also looking for a pistol and new rifle, but after the fiasco with the ammo and the way we were treated, I'll never return. read more

Great shop, friendly staff and easy n/out to get some practice in. Only about 5-6 lanes, but definitely worth a visit while in town.

My wife did a 2 on 1 private lesson with Chris Elegard (hope I got the last name spelled right). He showed us the proper safety techniques of holding, loading, and firing a pistol. We both felt very comfortable with firing a gun towards the end of the lesson and believe we hit the target every shot. And all around felt comfortable with the knowledge we got from Chris. Will definitely come back for more lessons read more

Great place, good prices and better service. Knowledgeable folks run this place. If you're looking for something in particular, I would suggest looking online first, or at the least phoning ahead. But do they have a great selection! Looking for a rifle? Tavor, FN, SCAR? Yup. All on the wall. They also cerokote AND laser color. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Someone's lying to me. All I keep hearing about on broadcast news is the dangers of "Assualt weapons" and everything. I go into leadfeather, and look around... They have pistols, shotguns, carbines, rifles... But you know what they DONT have... An Assualt weapons section. Highly disappointed that I couldn't get one of these firearms the news and democrat officials are all worried about. Can someone PLEASE point out WHERE I can get an ASSUALT weapon? read more

These guys are tremendous. I drive way out of the way to get here, generally to grab ammo. Highly recommend!

So I went today for the first time shooting at Leadfeather. I brought my 3 Glocks and 1000 rounds of ammo. I wanted to have a good solid range session and LeadFeather didn't disappoint. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the people there were great and I was able to put 500+ rounds through my new 19x with no issues. Not only would i recommend, I'll be going back. While I was shooting there were a few beginners and the staff guided them extremely well and made them feel comfortable and welcome Highly recommend read more

A good friend took me shooting today for the first time and as a Canadian I had very little experience in businesses like this, but I was felt to be more than welcome. After a time on the range, we wandered the store. As someone who is very inexperienced with firearms, I was greatly impressed by their selection and the knowledge of their staff. I'm very much looking forward to coming back tomorrow and doing some more shooting. read more

I purchased as bulldog range bag 5/17. The hand strap on top pulled completely out and there was no weight in. My wallet, keys and checkbook. No gun no ammo. I called lead feather and was told I have to deal with the manufacturer. They don't stand behind the merchandise they sell. Contacted bulldog and no response yet. If I wanted to deal with manufacturer, I would buy online. Poor customer service! read more

Great family run gun shop. Small shooting range but it's good for hand gun practice. We took our concealed weapons class here too.

I stopped there once to ask for prices on transfers and they did not hesitate to answer all my questions, I asked them if I can get an mp5 online and have it transferred to them and have them hold it for a few weeks since I will be away from home and they told me they'll hold it for as much as I needed them to, they have a new costumer. Also, this place is very clean and gorgeously decorated, great cabin vibe, I loved it! read more

As far as I am concerned,LeadFeather gets "10" stars I have been shopping and shooting here for about a year now and the owners and employees here gone far above what is expected in helping my wife and I learn most aspects to gun ownership! Thank you LeadFeather family read more

Nice shooting range prices on ammo are ok seem to be in line with the current ammo shortage.

I bought a gun from lead feather at a gun show, when I called to see if the gun was in, the guy that I talked to said "it should be". He didn't check to see if it was or even ask for a name to run a search on the computer. So the next weekend I drove 6 hours round trip to leadfeather only to find out it was transferred to a shop in Miami. I then told them I didn't want the gun anymore. When I asked for my money back, they said that they could not give me the money and that I had to drive to Miami (which is 4 hours round trip) to to tell the other store that I did not want it. This company has caused me to waste just over 10 hours in just driving, without any compensation. read more

If there were a way to give more stars; these guys deserve them. Fantastic customer service, knowledgeable staff, and great pricing. As a family we were switching from revolvers to semi-automatics. Leadfeather is awesome. Staff is very helpful. They will spend time with you and make sure you are satisfied. The gun range is awesome. When are you guys going to open an outdoor range? read more

Everything is overpriced. I get there's a huge ammo price surge, but even before everything here was very overpriced. Just know if you go here it will be significantly more than just finding some ammo or parts yourself. Great for shooting but that's about it. www.ammoseek.com will help you find any ammo you need. I can respect having different political views, the beauty of our country is having different views. The two massive trump signs (that have been spray painted for probably 3 months at this point with "F**K Trump" and "F**K Your Guns") about 20 flags on the trees and multiple yard signs, I think I can figure out who they support. But my issue is with the rules of "No Masks" at the front. I live with someone who is immunocompromised and have wanted to go shooting/buy things for my firearms for a while now, but I can not. It's not worth risking getting them sick. I guess I can 'understand' with it being a gun range, but other ranges around here require masks so there are some places to still go shooting/to purchase things. It just sucks because I really did enjoy this range when I went shooting in my free time. Maybe it's time to just purchase a big plot of land to shoot on. I'll stick to buying ammo for cheaper online and buying parts for cheaper online. Find other local FFL's for transfers. read more

Best range in the area. The entire store is neat and organized unlike some shops in the area. Awesome service and great prices on pretty much everything.
