Went in as they were the only LGS that had a Springfield Kuna in stock. I called ahead to check and they let me know they had one left on the wall. I headed over there quickly and was able to hold it in hand check it out and opted to buy it. The guys there were super chill. All of them made conversation from talking about other PCCs to even discussing our carry's and cerakoting. The system was moving a bit slow because this happened to be the day that AWS crashed, but they still managed to get everything cleared and processed and let me know that if anything happened with the card charge to let them know and they'd rectify it asap (nothing did happen). I think that their prices were fair and maybe even better than other "big box" shops from everything else I saw on display. This will likely be my regular LGS moving forward. read more

On March 23, 2025, I purchased an "In Stock" rifle from Will Reynolds for $1127 using my credit card. On March 25, 2025, I called him and was told the gun was never in stock and a refund would be provided. Will Reynolds threatened to sue me for complaining when he did not issue a refund. Be cautious when buying from Leadfeather. Bought a box of 9mm ammo on sale come to find out after driving away and opening the bag that they are factory seconds that may have primers that don't ignite. The box had a sticker on it stating that they were factory seconds but I never got to see the box because it was put in a bag and was never told they were factory seconds. When I called them to see if I could just bring them back because I had just left the store. I was told "that's why they were on sale" and no returns on ammo. I feel like I got swindled. If only they would have been honest up front I could have made a decision rather or not to buy them. I think they went out of their way to way to not show me the sticker or inform me that they were factory seconds. read more

I went here to get a magazine for my sig sauer, it was about the same price as what I could get it for through the manufacturer, actually a little more, but I was willing to pay the extra money to have it the same day and support a Winter Haven business. I inquired about ammunition while I was there because when I called to check the stock of the magazine I was told that they have more ammo than anyone in Florida. I have a law enforcement background and now with for the government, so I'm pretty familiar with firearms. They only had three brands in stock, federal was the only one I had heard of, and the prices were sky high. 20 rounds from a company that I never heard of was 58 bucks, full metal jacket federal 50 rounds was almost 90 bucks. When I asked what was special about the bullets, they said, "well a bullet is a bullet, so it don't really matter, they all get it done." I was curious why it was so crazy expensive. I asked about the price and it's way overpriced. When I said, "whoa, that's kinda high, don't worry about it" the employee said, "good luck finding that online because you ain't gonna get it for less than a hundred." I ordered from Brownells, critical duty Hornady (a great duty +p round) for 48 bucks, 25 rounds of ammo, shipping and taxes included. They arrived today. I know that ammo is hard to come by. I am also appreciative of local business and don't mind paying extra to support them. That in mind I found their prices way, way, way overpriced and out of character; including comparing to online companies with shipping and tax. They could order it directly like I did and cut cost to the consumer; In fact, the magazine I got would cheaper had I ordered it directly from sig sauer. The most direct thing that effected me as a customer is the way I was talked down to and treated, like I didn't know anything. I didn't name or agency drop, kept my badge in my pocket, and just went there as an honest customer without giving a resume because I shouldn't have to. It's very disappointing. I read the other reviews, they're pretty much the same regarding prices. Academy sports and outdoors is close by in Orlando, Bass Pro in Tampa, and Gander in Bartow all have ammo in stock. If not, I'll order from Brownells or another online company that will not only save me money, but will be more respectful to their customers. read more

Recently purchased a firearm here; we were very pleased with the service and item. The associate that helped us when we made our purchase wasn't wearing a name tag so I cannot credit him. But he was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. After going back after the holding period, we were helped by Bill. He was so friendly, attentive and a wealth of knowledge! Great staff here. They seem to always be busy. Like, busy! But they have a huge staff, so waiting time isn't usually too long. They're happy to let you handle whatever you'd like, and will take the time you need to make the right purchase. The variety is huge. This is a big place; lots of choices and colors and accessories, you name it. They've also got a small range, and offer conceal carry classes. Their classes appear to offer more than a typical CC class, too, with free lunch included. One thing to note, is that you are not allowed to wear a mask inside. I get it; it's a gun shop. But I also get that it's a turn off for some people and worth noting. Very pleased with our purchase! read more

Rude, snotty salespeople. Salesperson actually got mad at us as customers. He did not want to take the time to find out what we were looking for before basically yelling at us. Two different salespeople displayed rude attitudes. One young man was indifferent and didn't want to be bothered. He mumbled and could not have been less help, basically displaying an incredibly arrogant attitude. I was there to purchase ammo after speaking with them on the phone about a high volume discount, which they said they would do on the phone, but were not willing to do in the store. My wife did a 2 on 1 private lesson with Chris Elegard (hope I got the last name spelled right). He showed us the proper safety techniques of holding, loading, and firing a pistol. We both felt very comfortable with firing a gun towards the end of the lesson and believe we hit the target every shot. And all around felt comfortable with the knowledge we got from Chris. I bought a gun from lead feather at a gun show, when I called to see if the gun was in, the guy that I talked to said "it should be". He didn't check to see if it was or even ask for a name to run a search on the computer. So the next weekend I drove 6 hours round trip to leadfeather only to find out it was transferred to a shop in Miami. I then told them I didn't want the gun anymore. When I asked for my money back, they said that they could not give me the money and that I had to drive to Miami (which is 4 hours round trip) to to tell the other store that I did not want it. This company has caused me to waste just over 10 hours in just driving, without any compensation. read more

Everything is overpriced. I get there's a huge ammo price surge, but even before everything here was very overpriced. Just know if you go here it will be significantly more than just finding some ammo or parts yourself. Great for shooting but that's about it. www.ammoseek.com will help you find any ammo you need. I can respect having different political views, the beauty of our country is having different views. The two massive trump signs (that have been spray painted for probably 3 months at this point with "F**K Trump" and "F**K Your Guns") about 20 flags on the trees and multiple yard signs, I think I can figure out who they support. But my issue is with the rules of "No Masks" at the front. I live with someone who is immunocompromised and have wanted to go shooting/buy things for my firearms for a while now, but I can not. It's not worth risking getting them sick. I guess I can 'understand' with it being a gun range, but other ranges around here require masks so there are some places to still go shooting/to purchase things. It just sucks because I really did enjoy this range when I went shooting in my free time. Maybe it's time to just purchase a big plot of land to shoot on. I'll stick to buying ammo for cheaper online and buying parts for cheaper online. Find other local FFL's for transfers. read more

The first and only place i have encountered that was run by people dumb enough to actually ban masks!! The staff member I encountered there was a complete bonehead. We show up and find signs PROHIBITING face coverings (like we're not in the middle of a global pandemic). When we walked in i showed my face to alleviate any security concerns and then held a cloth to my face with my hand to do my best in terms of safe practices. This man stops dealing with his customers to acknowledge me and tell me that i would have to leave if I didn't remove my hand from my face. I explained that i had no problem showing mg face and only wore the mask for the protection of those around me and he went off making up a story about how it's illegal and that I'd have to leave if I'm not willing to potentially expose myself or others to Covid. The prices were trash anyway and they still have this no mask policy to my understanding (probably has something to do with the huge trump posters all over the store. I recommend passing on this as an option for the range and trying out one of the better options like Shoot Straight in Orlando. read more

Really love their assortment of guns, ammo and archery items. I came for target practice with a friend and there was only one other person shooting. They have 6 lanes so we had plenty of space to put our cases and bags. We brought our own eye and ear protection so I'm not sure what they charge, but the targets we purchased were $2/sheet and the hour we were there was $15 for the lane. Great employees. We were helped by chris the archery guy there and it couldn't have gone smoother. I bought a bow and he set up my son with his bow. As usual whenever you walk into a gun shop and don't own a gun shop, you're treated like a jerk, often ignored, and it always seems like your bugging them, ie. a yellow table at the Central FL gun shows! This was not the case here as everyone we came in contact with, only two guys, were very helpful and kind. They didn't act bothered and they didn't proceed to show me their giant balls and coolness associated with working at a gun store. I've had that feeling for 30 years going to gun shops. I 1st went in to a concealed weapons class, which was nice enough even though they had 17 people packed in a tiny room with a fan. I proceeded to purchase a gun. I was told the 1st time to come in on the following Thursday to pick it up. It was not logged until 5 days after I made my purchase, delaying my wait time. I go in again...... and it happened again. I am now having to wait 12 days passed when I purchased the gun to be able to pick it up. I go in today to inquire about selling my USED gun back to them and right away the owner gives me attitude asking where's the box? I answer nicely and say I bought this gun used from you guys (didn't come with a box). Then we proceed to negotiate price (we didn't come to an agreement which is perfectly fine) I grab my gun and my clip and he starts screaming and yelling at me like I'm his kid. This man made a scene for absolutely no reason at all, SNATCHES my gun and my clip, and yells at me to get out and escorts me out. Unloads my clip and tells me to never come again. GLADLY WILL NEVER TAKE MY BUSINESS OVER THERE. Save yourself the hassle and go to a place where your business will be valued ! MIND YOU THIS IS THE OWNER !!! Instead of de-escalating a situation (which there never was until he started yelling) he added gasoline to a fire ! New place, just opened at end of Nov. 2012. Has a small archery range and a small shooting range, both indoors. Pistol prices are higher than everywhere else. Small place, shooting range price is $10/hr. $200/yr, but costs extra to add extra person to yrly membership. Price seems high for this tiny place.
