I first heard about it from a friend and nearly missed it because the place looks like a private home on Main Street. The service was also amazing. AMAZING spot for a family dinner or to impress the parents.

I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to park yourself, as space is very limited. Overall, great food, great service, and a wonderful experience. I would definitely return!

The wait staff was very chatty and it was distracting. 2. 2 of us ordered the lamb chop special and one was to be cooked medium but both came out well-done. 3. The meatball appetizer was decent but not a standout. The interior is lovely and does give a nice Italian vibe but for the price, the food was quite underwhelming.

They're always polite, attentive and seem to be pretty damn happy to be working there. For my review, I see no reason to wax poetic on their pizza because like the other thousand or so reviewers, it's excellent. And honestly, does anyone actually give a shit what Dave Portnoy thinks? I've been there three times in the past month and it's amazing. But let's forget the pizza and talk about their Caesar salad which is literally the best I've ever had and I've had them all over the place. Who knew? The title of best should rightfully belong to some Michelin Starred eatery in Manhattan but in this case it's at a pizza joint in Chatham, NJ that really can't be beat. Kudos.

They had mostly pizzas (NY And Detroit style) but had other options to choose from such as a few salads and Italian classics. The service was appreciated while the food came out promptly. To start the meal, the Italian chopped salad for two ($19) was ordered. It had iceberg and romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, chickpeas, fresh mozzarella, salami, grated cheese, and a red wine vinaigrette. This was large with plenty of everything incorporated. It appeared very fresh and I liked how small everything was cut. The homemade vinaigrette was ideal too. Two pizzas were tried. We had the NY style of the shallots and long hots ($26) and the Detroit style of hot honey, pepperoni and ricotta ($24). The NY style had a thin crust with a very nice texture from the sourdough crust. There was not a ton of flavor there, but the texture made up for it. I really enjoyed the shallot and hot pepper combination. The tomato sauce was pleasant with just enough cheese present. The hot honey, pepperoni, and ricotta had a lot going on to my surprise. The pizza as a whole was heavy with the ideal crunch on the crust. There was a ton of pepperoni present, and the best part was the dollop of ricotta combined with the warm aspects. Will I go back? I would.

With dimly lit lights, fantastic service, and an electric fireplace in the middle of the room, you get to feel like you the most important person in the house. The food overall was pretty good, however a bit over priced. If you're gonna charge $30 for pasta, I would've preferred a little more spice to it in my opinion. Here's what I ordered: -Bruschetta -Chopped tomatoes, onions, and fried zucchini drizzled with olive oil. A fresh start of the evening, however, the oil did take away the crisp from the zucchini. -Spinaci con Pera e Gorgonzola -Honestly, I could've made this myself at home. On the bright side, I never had Gorgonzola before. The pear was well roasted that it brought some sweetness to the dish. -Rigatoni con Vodka -The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was creamy. Again, I would prefer a little more spice in mine. -Ravioli Porcini con Tartufi -This was the star of the night. For all you truffle lovers out there, this one hits the spot. The ravioli was done al dente and the porcini was perfectly cooked inside. The truffle was not too oily or bitter, and you could taste the seasoning from creaminess of the sauce. This is also a great choice for any vegetarians out there. -Eggplant Parm -Fried eggplants layered with mozzarella, topped with Marinara sauce, with a side of what I believe to be Angel Hair pasta. The sauce was cooked with fresh basil which I liked, though it was a too sweet for me. They also threw in streamed carrot, grilled zucchini, and a potato, which was unusual in my experience. Il Mondo has been in New Jersey for over 30 years, and one of the finest restaurants in the state. If you want to try fine dining, this a good recommendation.

As such, it's no surprise that every time I've gone to either order or pick up a slice, the phone is ringing off the hook while a few folks are waiting for their meals. When things get that busy, it's hard to offer the friendliest service, but I certainly appreciate how efficiently the folks behind the counter work. Recently, we took a chance on the grandma pies, and WOW. These are arguably even better than the conventionally circular pies, with a square and slightly thicker crust that are baked in pans and have a significant crunch that we didn't know we needed. If you've only been ordering their regular pies, I'd highly recommend giving these a try. There's no parking lot and a limited amount of street parking available out front, so trying to find a spot for your car can be tough, especially around mealtimes. Everyone greets you with a smile, and there's a warmth to the hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like family. This past Friday night, I had one of the best dinners and overall dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Mentor has done an outstanding job creating something truly special here. The service, food, wine, atmosphere, and hospitality all come together seamlessly. The ambiance is cozy, intimate, and full of energy. The dining room always seems to be buzzing, and you immediately understand why. The cocktails are always a hit, but the wines... oh, the wines! There are some incredible bottles to discover, along with an excellent selection by the glass. If you appreciate wine, this is definitely a place where you can have some fun exploring. Every dish that hit our table was spectacular. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, from the pasta to the entrées and all the little details in between. There wasn't a single miss the entire evening. And now I apparently need to come back for the "Happy Meal" . As someone who works in the hospitality industry, experiences like this mean a little more to me. When you dine somewhere where the food hits, the drinks hit, the service hits, and the hospitality feels genuine, it reminds you exactly why you fell in love with this industry in the first place.
