We stopped by Gregorio's for a family dinner, and what a lovely experience it was!
We arrived right at opening, and the restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had such a lovely ambiance. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
We were seated right by the window, which offered beautiful natural lighting. The music was great and played at just the right volume, allowing us to enjoy conversations without having to speak over it.
Our server, Isabella, was fantastic! She took the time to understand our flavor preferences and recommended dishes that were right up our alley.
Shortly after being seated, we received a complimentary breadbasket accompanied by a house-made sun-dried tomato oil/jam combination. Oh my goodness, was that delicious! It added such a bright, flavorful touch to the savory bread.
Now, onto the entrées, because every single one was equally delicious!
Trofie Pistachio: A shrimp dish tossed in a refreshing lemon-pistachio pesto. It was light, bright, and absolutely delicious! This was a flavor combination I never would have thought to pair together (I'm no chef, LOL), but boy, did it work!!!
Pistachio-Crusted Salmon: This dish came with blanched spinach, served over a bed of creamy butternut squash risotto, with a balsamic reduction surrounding the plate. The salmon was cooked to medium, beautifully seasoned, and complemented the risotto perfectly. The risotto itself was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. Such a lovely combination!
Fettuccine Bolognese: A traditional dish featuring a fresh, homemade Bolognese sauce. And let me tell you, this was a FULL plate! My fiancé was starving, and this dish delivered both the flavor and the generous portion he was looking for. He was one happy camper!
Chicken Gregorio: Now, MY dish... OH. MY. LORD. Where do I even begin?! This dish was so bright, vibrant, and full of flavor. I mean, I genuinely smiled with every bite! I am notorious for never finishing my meals, BUT THIS ONE?! Holy cow. I couldn't get enough! It was hands down my absolute favorite. We had been on vacation for a week, enjoying all sorts of food, and this dish easily became the culinary highlight of our entire trip. THAT'S how good it was!!!
Beyond the food, the staff was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive. Their descriptions of the dishes were spot on, and you could tell they genuinely cared about creating a great dining experience.
We also learned that Gregorio's has been a local staple for over 20 years, and after dining here, I can absolutely understand why!
From the atmosphere to the service and, of course, the delicious food, this place was SOLID.
Safe to say, Gregorio's will officially become a new family tradition for us. We cannot wait to come back! read more
