Burger Melt

My first time eating inside and I was impressed with how they managed to keep the noise level down considering how many people were in the restaurant. Our Wait staff Kevin was friendly efficient and had a great vibe about him. I orders the Jordan's Cheese Fries, thinking They were a small appetizer but not so at all! The plate was heaping loaded with cheese and bacon bit. One guest got the burger melt which was cooked perfectly and my other guest got the Barbeque Pork sandwich which looked good too. The pickles served as a snack while looking through the menu were amazing, not jar pickles real cucumbers resting in a mellow brine, crisp and delish. The experience was good, although it was clearly a chain.

Gregg's has the best cakes and cupcakes! Their death by chocolate cake is literally to die for. I was at the Post Road location recently and the staff was friendly, service was quick and everyone I was with enjoyed their meals. Turkey club was good, although the fries were wicked salty!

Greg is OK nothing's to be like oh my God about. Horses are reasonable. Food is OK. Great for a quick stop.

The piece of cheesecake I got with whipped cream on the side.

Went to Greg's for the first time to get a piece of cheesecake and asked if I could get a slice with whipped cream and the girl said sure. I was charged almost $10 and got a tiny piece with whipped cream on the side. This restaurant is a joke and should be ashamed.

Burger and fries

Gregg's is a very consistent restaurant chain. The menu is large and varied and it offers seasonal specials throughout the year. This last time, I got the traditional burger with fries and it was done perfectly. Nice and moist with some really nice crispy fries. If you are in the Rhode Island area and you want something good and inexpensive, head to any of the Gregg's restaurants around. You will find something you like on their menu.

Crab cakes

Gregg's opened in 1972 and is known for their cakes for a reason; they are super decadent, moist, and scrumptious. There are four locations; in Providence, Warwick, East Providence, and a North Kingstown. It is a Rhode Island tradition! This one has spacious parking and the customer service was great. We were seated right away and the food came out quick. Their menu was huge and they have a to-go section where you can also order ahead by calling or going on their website to order. We started off with crab cakes as an appetizer; two crab cakes were drizzled with Chipotle aioli which were good. I had the margarita which was large and decently priced; it was 3.5 out of 5 stars. I ordered the chicken salad club with fries, these were delicious. Of course, I had to get the chocolate cake dessert and it was amazing. Overall, we had a great meal and enjoyed dining in this family friendly and affordable restaurant.

Lemon Burst cake, Chocolate Layer cake and Creme Espresso Martini

The food is decent, but not excellent. The Monday and Tuesday special keeps us coming back. How can you go wrong with $3 for a glass of wine and dessert? Their stand out dessert to me is the Death by Chocolate cake that comes covered with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting I am not a chocolate person, but this dessert does it for me every time and I can turn it into three or four servings, easily.

Service was great! Inside seating available. No outdoor seating. Close to the airport. Menu has a large variety of options. The dessert case looks amazing!!!

Angus burger and cole slaw

Nothing spectacular. We had an appetizer of calamari and it was very skimpy for the price. Followed by an angus burger with mushrooms (which were cold). I had the chicken italiana which was grilled chicken (about 4oz serving) served with broccoli, black olives and pepper rings (didn't find any) and red peppers (which I was told couldn't be removed because it was in the "sauce" ) all served over approx 1/2-3/4# of penne pasta and tossed in their garlic herb sauce. My chicken was cold and there was NO sauce. I had to send it back after I was done picking out the red peppers (which don't like me) so that they could reheat it and add sauce (which I still I still did not get). Well the 1st bite was warmer but the middle was still cold. I put most of it in my take out container to eat later. They gave gone down hill significantly since our last visit here a year ago.

Eh. Food was decent, but nothing really stood out to any of us. It was ok. Service from Nicholas was great.

Another RI classic. If you're in the mood for home cooked American food, then Gregg's is it. Their desserts are pretty impressive as well.

Rating: 4.0 Came to…read moretry this ice cream place since we live nearby and had not tried yet. It's a small local ice-cream shop located in Warwick RI. Inside is kind of like a diner converted into an ice cream shop. There is a counter where they serve ice creams and bunch of tables, seats and diner counter as well. When we came there were bunch of kids likely from the neighborhood. They offer hard, soft, dole whip, sundaes, waffle nachos, shakes, float and parfait with bunch of topping options. I tried their waffle cone cup with 1 scoop of strawberry cheese cake and 1 scoop of peanut butter pie hard ice-cream. Hard ice cream was pretty good. Waffle cone cup was a bit stale. Probably will just get sugar cone or ice cream in the cup next time. Service was good and staffs were nice. Keep in mind that it's cash only but there are bunch of signs outside so they make that clear. Overall it's a solid ice cream place. It's conveniently located near where i'm located which makes an easy stop for ice cream if my partner or I wants some ice cream. Only thing is that it was not particularly much different from other typical ice cream place. If you are looking for your standard ice cream and don't mind paying cash this is the place.
