"Hey Foo, so glad you made it, let's go inside." We walked into this really white space and we ordered from the counter. "What'll you two have?" said the really nice guy taking orders. Sally said, "I'll have the kick'n Sammie and fries." "Foo is expert in Korean food, you know," I said to the waiter, "I'll have the Katsu, scallion pancake and crab rangoon, xie xie." "Don't forget the bev!" said the man. Sally then said, "Never, never, never!" and then she started to laugh at her own joke. "The Ocky way!" Me, Foo, said and I was then busy slapping my knees at Sally funny joke. "No, seriously, what to drink?" said the nice waiter man. "Sally and Foo both have Narragansett lager in can!" Foo said. "Okay, coming right up!" When the food arrived it looked so good. Foo was so impressed. "Sally, you say grace to KJ?" Foo, me, said. "Yes, grace to KJ for this amazing food here in this wonderful place." "You know, Sally, I think Ming's is like truck that got stuck in Edgewood traffic and then they just open place and make yummy food. I feel like a festival when here. I love Ming's! They bring the street to street food and I know the real deal. You know why Sally?" "Because Foo, you are prime not gristle!" "Sally knows Foo and Foo so happy."

Nanu Burmese Fusion - Thai Tea

If you're unfamiliar with Burmese food but love Thai food and have a curious palate, you're the…read moreperfect candidate to try Nanu Burmese Fusion. The dishes are rich, occasionally greasy, but oh boy--are they packed with flavor! Curry, coconut milk, and spices play starring roles in most of the dishes. The fish soup? Absolutely delicious. It can be a gamble to try fish-based soup, but I trust how most Asians prepare it, so I went for it. No regrets! Here's what we enjoyed: Nanu Pork Dumpling: A sweet, scrumptious twist on a cooked sushi roll Mohinga: Fish-based soup with rice noodles, egg, cilantro, scallions, and fried split chickpeas (so delish!). Some awesome crispy appetizer (see pic) paired with hard-boiled eggs came as a side dish. The couple who own and run this spot are incredibly gracious, patiently walking us through what to expect from each dish. The wife is the head chef, and her passion shows in every bite. I believe they also do food truck events--I noticed their colorful van parked outside. This place is a must-try. Familiar yet different and oh-so-flavorful.

Rating: 4.3 Tried…read morethis place for lunch since it was close to my home and was looking for new spot to try. It's a local small family owned asian restaurant. Place just opened when we went so we were quickly sat down as we were the only customer. The seating is limited as there are only 3 tables available. We ordered Burmese Milk tea, Fried chicken (Sweet), Nanu chicken dumplings, stir fried noodles, and Basil Chicken with rice. Fried chicken wings were crispy, sweet and savory. Nanu dumplings were topped with scallions , fried onions and spicy mayo and were delicious. Basil chicken was flavorful with hint of spice from basil. Stir fried was also topped with fried onions and was very flavorful as well. All the food did come with plastic containers so it's easy to take home if you have leftovers. First time trying Burmese milk tea and was good but I think I prefer Thai milk tea better. Overall the place was very good. Food was great, service was good and price was fair. Only downside was that the place is small with limited seating and the place was hot because it's summer and there is no AC. They have fan and we sat in front of it but was not good enough. I would order take out next time. Other than that it's a solid place.

Its located on a plaza with parking lot available. The outside is decorated with purple graffiti style art.Inside is small and only has few seatings and a counter where you place your order. Looks like most people were ordering take outs. We went in and placed an order. I got the penny nuggs which came with their chicken nuggets topped with jalapeno ranch sauce, scallions, bacon bits, cheese, cilantro, and street corn. The flavor was good but chicken nuggets were dry and toppings and sauces were overwhelming. It seemed to be similar concept as loaded fries but chicken nuggets instead. Service was good and wait was not too bad about 15min or so. Overall it's an ok place. I think the idea is interesting but it was sad that their chicken nuggets were dry. I know it's gluten free and they use white meat but if they are selling chicken nuggets as their main menu i would expect them to be good on its own. I feel that topping and sauce was overwhelming and chicken nuggets themselves did not shine.
