This is the type of place I would come in with some friends and just hang out and eat a bunch of ice cream, all different kind of ways. I didn't actually eat anything but I did purchase and the ambiance and experience as a whole was great because the owner was probably the most engaging person I met in RI that weekend. I was told by the consumer of the product that I purchased that it was "so good. I mean so good. This is so good. Ok, now that I found my way here.. it's going to be a real problem for me. I ordered the churros with caramel dip on the side (so good! The dough was soft to bite into and crispy outside. Coated well in cinnamon sugar). What I actually came for was the candy coated pineapple rings and grapes.. omg I didn't even make it home with these. I popped open the container at a red light and they were so good!! They are frozen, candy coating crunch to them and satisfied my cravings. If they had more of these varieties I'd try each one. When I first went in, the owner (I believe) was very nice and welcoming. She greeted everyone who came in and smiled. It's also very clean and well kept inside. It says smoothies but we went for the ice cream & it's fantastic & they have all kinds of treats for sale too that are homeade and look fantastic ! The owner & family are all super welcoming . I was so happy to FINALLY see a smoothie place in Johnston. The location itself is located kinda across the street from Sundae's (Ice cream shop) and this place also sells ice cream as well. I would say staff is really nice and great with kids...! They do offer food outside in the back- which is a cute setup- a little different. Indoors they have the smoothies and ice cream. I also really liked the decor and ambiance- it's "very cool", according to my son. I would say their smoothies are really good. However- I didn't actually like the majority of the ones they had featured. I wanted to see more variety and more strawberry/cherry flavors- but it was a good eclectic mix. I am picky and drawn to a lot of those flavors- but I think there was only 1 that fell under that umbrella. I want to say they are expensive - but for smoothies- the price point is literally the same or HIGHER at many places. So actually compared to a lot of places their smoothies are on the more reasonable side. However, be prepared to spend $50+ if a family of 4 is getting ice cream & smoothies.... The girls are fantastic behind the counter. The menu is unlike any other ice cream shop we've stopped at. I specifically wanted the caramel apple. Which I did get. It took us a while to decide on what we wanted and we opted for waffle bowl sundaes. The waffle bowls weren't stale, which is definitely a plus!!! The ice cream was awesome. He got three different chocolates with chocolate chips and sprinkles. I got maple walnut, black raspberry chocolate chip and coconut almond with cheesecake bites and strawberries. New spot, so had to try it. I am not a fan of traditional açaí bowl, but baby, I LOVED this coconut based one, with all my favorite flavors!
