On 10/27/23 My Dad & I Checked Into The Hotel For Our Stay. It Was Quiet In The Lobby So I Asked If They Were Really Busy And All The Rooms Are Booked For The Climbing Competition Happening Across The Street The Following Day? Both Clerks At The Front Desk Said "No, It Is Extremely Quiet This Weekend". When The Girl Finished Checking Us In I Looked To Verify That We Were Being Charged The AAA Discounted Rate (We Were), Then Asked Where The Pool/Spa Is Located. The Girl Said They Don't Have A Pool/Spa. I Was Bummed And Commented That Was Strange Since The Website States There Is An Accessible Pool &Spa There. She She Just Shrugged And Said,"Hmmmm, I Don't Know" Then Directed Us To Our Room. Upon Going Into Our Room And Getting Settled, My Dad Turned On The TV Only To Discover It Wasn't Working. I Called The Front Desk And Was Told That SOME Of The TV's Were Out Of Service But That Are Currently Working On Them. I Asked If We Could Be Moved To A Room With A Working TV But She Said She Didn't Know Which Of The Rooms Have Working TVs And That No Other Rooms Are Available (Even Though At Check-in She Stated They Weren't Full). We Decided To Get Our Dinner Ready Since there Was Nothing Else To Do In The Room, And Discovered That There Were No Mugs For Coffee, A Couple Glasses That Can't be used for hot liquids, And Only 1 Fork In The Kitchenette, So I Had To Go To The Front Desk To Get Some Cups And Plasticware. When I Returned To The Room And Tried To Lock The Door I Discovered That The Deadbolt Doesn't Lock Because It Doesn't Line Up With The Hole In The Doorframe. I Called The Desk Again And Told Her About The Lock. She Apologized For The Lock And The TV And Said The Room Was Discounted For That At The Time Of Check-in (Even Though None Of The Room Problems Were Mentioned By Her!). She Said There Is A Sign Posted At The Desk About The TVs Not Working, Which Was Not Pointed Out Or Mentioned, And No One Should Be Given A Room In Which You Cannot Secure The Entry. I Decided It Was Useless Trying To Get Anything Achieved With The Desk Clerk And Since She Said The Room Was Discounted For The Problems I Was Somewhat Satisfied With That Bandaid For A Problem And Decided To Get Some Rest. The Following Morning Upon Checkout I Discovered I Was Charged My Original Cost, So The Discount For Room Issues Was Never Discounted. I asked how long the TVs had been down for and when they were going to be working. The morning shift clerk said they have been down for a couple weeks since they are changing over from Direct TV to Comcast and had no clue when they would be working. I Asked To Speak To The Manager But Was Told She Wouldn't Be In Until Monday. I Asked For The Manager's Name And Contact Number Since We Would Be Back In Denver By Then. When I Called To Speak With The Manager On Monday I Was Told She Isn't In And We Never Know What Days She Will Be There, Then Was Given Her Email. I Decided To Write the Greentree Company Instead Of emailing the manager, Since That Hotel Doesn't Seem To Care About Customer Service Or Safety At All. I Have Stayed At Many Hotels Throughout My Life And I Have To Say This One Tops My List As One Of The Worst Places To Stay, For Safety, Comfort, And Above All Customer Service. The Community Would Not Be Lost If That Place Was Shut Down Permanently. read more
