But eventually I got seated and was faced with a nice selection of food. There's something for everyone between breakfast and lunch items. Pancakes, eggs, waffles, roast beef, bacon, cooked vegetables, salad bar, fruit, and all kinds of desserts. While I probably did eat my money's worth, the brunch is ultimately came across as a meal designed to feed large numbers of people efficiently. It's not quite as fancy as you'd hope for a special occasion. You'll do pretty well if you're responsible for feeding a traveling football team that likes to eat. The roast beef is decent and the one item attended by a server that cuts you a fresh slice. The rest is very much buffet style. Again, quality is ok, and you won't go hungry but the experience didn't hit many high notes for me. Some of the food had been sitting a bit and wasn't as fresh, bacon for example was hard rather than crisp, but I think that's hard to avoid in a mass production like this. The dessert selection had some nice points like the little creme Brulee dishes and the chocolate fountain, but some of the other cakes and pastries did not seem homemade. The atmosphere is not elegant but casual and clean, like a classic family restaurant. Servers were very nice overall and check on you regularly to refill your drinks and take your plates. If you're hungry, staying at the hotel, and need a convenient place to eat, this will serve you fine.

We were able to walk here from our hotel for some late night post hockey Chinese. And boy oh boy, it did not disappoint. First off, when we walked in the door they had Halloween decorations up - WINNER WINNER! We were blown away by some of the menu options. For example, I grew up in Seattle with Moo shu pork but here they offered different meat varieties. Their dessert menu also had things I had never seen before in a Chinese restaurant - candied bananas, candied apples, etc. We didn't have room for dessert but I would definitely try it next time! Hubs and kiddo loved the ginger beef! The server was super nice and brought us some calamari to try after I heard another customer raving about it! She told us that regulars often have one order in the restaurant and one to go because it is so popular! The service was outstanding and the food was GREAT! Plus they are open super late every night! Two thumbs way up!!!

TIP: if it's your birthday, you get a complimentary dessert. I got the coconut creme brulee which was a large portion & delicious (it had a few coconut flakes in the custard) The self serve buffet bar - variety of salads (weren't too fresh tbh), vegetables, and stews. Be careful not to fill up too much here because you want to save the space for your meats! The unlimited meats - they have this wooden coloured block system. If you flip the green side up, expect servers to come very frequently (like once every couple minutes) with a variety of Brazilian style bbq'd meats. They shave off whatever piece you want (usually I like the more charred parts) and you get it with your table tongs. My favourites were the lamb, Picanha, Alcatra, Parmesan crusted sirloin & pork, habanero pork, applewood chicken sausage, and grilled pineapple. If we needed a break, we'd flip the wooden block red side up to tell servers to skip over our table. And once we were done & full, we knock the wooden block on the side! I also loved the cheesy bread balls (it's like a chewy savoury mochi texture). We also tried their Caipirinhas classic lime (basically Brazilian rum & lime) and Cocojito (very refreshing & not too sweet).

Exceptional, Authentic Japanese Curry!…read more Every evening during our stay, I would search for a good restaurant within walking distance of our place. We happened to stumble upon Redheads Japa Cafe, and we were thrilled to discover that the food quality is absolutely top-notch. Over the course of two visits, we ordered the Katsu Curry Rice and the Curry Ramen, and we absolutely loved both. The Curry These folks clearly know how to make authentic Japanese curry. It has significantly branched out from its Indian origins--it is uniquely thick with a high, paste-like viscosity and an indescribable blend of savory spices. It is the perfect contrast and match for white rice. (Pro tip for eating it: do not mix the entire bowl of rice and curry sauce together! Just blend the exact portion you plan to swallow in the next few seconds to keep the textures perfect.) The Katsu (Deep Fried Pork) The katsu is exceptionally well-executed. No Pork Stench At All (My Top Priority). The biggest tell of a skilled chef is how the panko breading and the meat adhere to each other. Here, they are tightly integrated and stay perfectly combined even as you take a bite. There is none of that annoying separation where the breading falls apart from the meat, which happens so often at places that don't know what they are doing. Takeout & Service The service was great during our visits. I also have to commend them on their takeout packaging--they use high-quality, airtight boxes that completely seal the food, meaning our leftover rice didn't dry out at all the next day. The Only Caveat I have absolutely no complaints about the food itself, but some of their outdoor seating is extremely uncomfortable. The tables and umbrellas made it very hard to physically get in and out of your seat. Verdict If you are looking for expertly made, authentic Japanese comfort food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
