We were installing a MantelMount MM700 along with the RB100 recessed box above our fireplace, which is completely tiled. We originally thought about doing it ourselves, but once we got into it, we quickly realized tile made the project a lot more complicated than we were comfortable with. Looking back, I really wish I would have just let a pro handle it from the beginning before we started drilling holes into the tile, especially since we later found out those holes didn't even need to be drilled. We actually had a handyman at the house giving us an estimate for installing an EV charger in the garage, and he agreed to take on the TV mount as well. Once he got started, though, he told me he wasn't comfortable continuing because he was having trouble locating the studs through the tile. MantelMount recommends OnTech for installation, so I tried going that route next. They ended up canceling the appointment because they don't install through tile. At that point I started shopping around pretty heavily. I probably spoke with around 10 different companies or installers. Some wouldn't take the job at all, and others made working with tile sound like it turned this into an insanely complicated project. The prices reflected that too. Some of the upcharges I was quoted just because of the tile were pretty crazy. Then I spoke with Christian. From the first conversation, he was professional, knowledgeable, and confident without trying to oversell anything. He has over 12 years of experience, and after talking through the project with him, you could tell that experience was legitimate. He understood the MantelMount, the tile, the recessed box, and what would be involved in getting everything installed correctly. His pricing was also completely fair. The price changed a little once I explained that I also wanted the RB100 recessed box installed, which was completely understandable considering the additional work involved. Even then, his price was very reasonable compared with some of the other quotes I received. What really sealed it for me was looking through the work he had posted on Yelp and talking with him about exactly how he planned to approach the installation. Out of roughly 10 people I spoke with, Pro Level was the company I felt most comfortable hiring. Christian showed up on time and was professional from the moment he walked in. He came prepared with high end Milwaukee tools and treated our house like it was his own. Before cutting or drilling anything, he taped everything off, covered the furniture, and covered the fireplace and surrounding area so tile dust wouldn't spread throughout the room. Those little details tell you a lot about the person you hired. The finished installation came out exactly how we wanted it. Everything was clean, precise, and professionally done. You can immediately tell Christian takes pride in his work. I'm extremely picky about who I hire to work on projects around my house, especially when someone is drilling into tile and mounting an expensive TV over a fireplace. After seeing Christian's work firsthand, I will absolutely be bringing him back when we install TVs in our loft and basement. Also, don't let the number of Yelp reviews fool you. Yelp doesn't seem to be nearly as big here in Utah as it is in some other places. Christian is a gem and an absolute pro. If you're looking for someone to mount a TV, especially if you have a more complicated installation involving tile, a fireplace, a MantelMount, or recessed components, do not hesitate to hire Christian at Pro Level.
