They told me that the system needed an upgrade (at considerable cost) and I had to book an appointment with one of their technicians (also at my expense). When I calculated that the expense was greater than the service I received, I decided to stop the monitoring. Even though Professional Alarm was told my system no longer worked, they have continued to bill me for the monitoring for over six months, even after being told that the service was no longer being provided on several occasions. Be careful in selecting these folks to monitor your security!!

From the day they installed the system onward, it never worked properly. As an example, the front door camera did not record visitors (or potential intruders) as they approached the house, only walking away. Multiple visits by Zions technicians failed to correct the problem. Still, they charged us for each visit, falsely insisting the system was working when the technician left (then why would we have them come back!). One technician was aggressively hostile toward my wife and me. Presented with these scenarios, the owner, Jake, displayed indifference bordering on contempt for his clients' situation. I finally gave up and hired another company; it took them a few minutes to solve the problems Zions couldn't fix in over a year. Spare yourself the time, money, and aggravation: don't use Zions Security!

Cameron and Caleb at Aloha Electric have each done different jobs for us now and we've been super…read moreimpressed with their passion for doing things well and making things look nice at the same time. One of several of the projects they recently helped us with was correcting a shortcut made by the electrician (from another company) who wired our home during its construction. Our home-build electrician neglected to make our whole-home surge protection unit visible without needing to remove an electrical panel using tools. Whole-home surge protectors should be checked regularly to ensure they are still protecting your home (the green protected status light should be on). Aloha moved and attached this protector unit from the inside of the electrical panel to the exterior of the electrical panel (the way the protectors are designed to be), so now we can actually see it by simply walking by it. It was a relatively simple and quick fix, but a good example of Aloha noticing a shortcut our other electrician took and offering to fix it/improve it for us. Aloha doesn't take shortcuts. They treat your home as if it were their home. I wish we would have had Aloha Electric wire our entire home at construction. They care soooo much more about doing a good job and what would be optimal for the owner of the home. We have a lot more house-wide electrical projects that we'll be using Aloha for. Mostly correcting things that were too complicated for our home-build electrician, who complained that things like fan and light timer switches, dimmer switches, and USB outlets are too complicated and tried to persuade us either not to do them in all or to do less of them. Even though we had planned out the locations (with specific usages in mind) years in advance and indicated these types of things on our home's detailed electrical floor plan, many did not get done the way we requested. I wish we had found an electrician like Aloha who would listen and shared our vision sooner. Aloha has done great with each of the jobs they've done for us so far. It's clear they take pride in what they do and aim to give you what you want for a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them for big, tiny, and anything in between electrical jobs.
