It is not a handmade steak prepared from scratch in the kitchen, but rather a prepared patty--and it is still absolutely delicious, especially when you order it as a sandwich. Be sure to try the fried squash or fried okra. Both are crispy, flavorful, and among the better versions I have had around town. They also serve some of the best sweet tea I have tasted anywhere. Breakfast is another reason to visit--their morning food is outstanding. Add in the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a serving staff that is always top-notch, and you have a place that is easy to recommend.
