We coordinated travel with friends, and after landing at the airport, they found that their luggage had gone astray for half-a-day. Including their child car-seat!!! Airport staff helped us find a taxi app, and the app helped us find Flash Cab, who had a large enough vehicle for all of us ... With A Child Car-Seat! The curbside "concierge" helped that cab jump the line to us (!), and blocked off a handy loading spot. The cab driver helped us get organized so that we all fit, and got us safe and sound to our destination. Kudos to Flash Cab! And of course, tips to the driver and to the airport concierge :-)

Extremely unprofessional and rude experience…read more After being upfront about our destination (Norridge), the driver berated us for "wasting his time" because he had been waiting in the airport queue and wanted a longer fare so he could go home. He then attempted to pressure us into an illegal $40 "flat rate," which was significantly higher than the standard metered fare. ​When I refused and offered to get out with my two children, he begrudgingly agreed to use the meter but proceeded to drive intentionally slow to run up the cost. It's clear from other reviews that this is a pattern when they feel a fare isn't "profitable" enough. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, especially when traveling with kids. Avoid this service if you want a hassle-free ride home.

Post-Renovation Review:…read more Berwyn station was closed when I moved to Chicago. Recently, the renovated station opened, and looking at old photos, the CTA made excellent choices! It seems like the old Berwyn resembled the current Thorndale - too narrow and cramped. The new Berwyn is clean (for now), wide, has more than ample, clear signage, and is fully accessible. While not the work of art some of Sweden's T-Bana are, the lobby has splashes of color, and the platform is sleek, modern, and offers protection from the elements. My biggest criticism is to do with the benches. The angled, metal benches that require sustained effort to not slide off are more discomfort than they're worth. So much so I chose to stand rather than sit for 10-ish minutes. I get it, the CTA wants to discourage loitering, but it seems they've done so almost *too* well.

As a rule, I never give less than three stars to a transit stop simply because they do what I need them to do... get me from somewhere to somewhere else. I really enjoy the Berwyn stop. For a station pretty far out of the loop, it is generally clean and feels safe at all hours of the day. With the recent construction on the Argyle stop, I have had the choice between walking to the Lawrence stop or Berwyn for my Red Line needs... and though Lawrence is a bit closer I go to Berwyn more often than not because it is a more pleasant experience. Now I understand that this stop will be going through some maintenance. Hopefully this will only make one of my favorite stops better.

I would not have been comfortable driving in Chicago. Yes-I gripped my seat a couple times when other drivers seemed to be dive bombing into our car to get into our lane. We arrived at the Embassy Suites whole and intact and the cost without tip was about $40 . Our driver had been with the company for over 20 years. The drive back to midway. The following Monday was also in a yellow cab, and with the driver who had more than 15 years experience. I was not as happy with his driving he sped the entire time. And would just honk his horn. Every time he was passing someone to make sure they didn't venture out. I've never had that kind of experience again we did get there in one piece. Cost was the same. Might sound high for a taxi, but frankly to rent a car would've been much more money and to have to drive in that traffic might've caused me to have a stroke !!! These two cab rides were the first ones I've ever taken in my life !!! if I ever make it to New York, I'll be walking!!! We would use this service again.

He was supposed to refund that and told me not to worry about anything else!!!!! I had good reason to worry because they stole the money today!!! Now I have no money to get me through until pay day!!! I will NOT LET THIS GO!!!!!!

I am writing this review with gratitude to a representative who went above and beyond, along with his co-workers, to help make our flight happen as planned. I wanted to write this review as soon as I got back, but I have been busy until now. United Ground department, I hope Samir didn't get in trouble for spending an extensive time helping a customer. His compassionate ways have made my mom's relocation possible. I highly encourage recognition of such working ethics. Good workers make great companies. It was the weekend of May 30, 2026, flight # UA2373. My mom was a frail disabled senior over 80 years old. I came to NY to fly her to CA, as she had been requesting. The flight was long, she got very tired and became very difficult to deal with. She was walking around the area with a cane, being uncooperative with me. She found Samir Mezzi and got very comfortable with him. She only trusted him and no one else. Samir was on duty but was very willing to help her. My flight was close to departure when she refused to enter the TSA checkpoint for the security screening process. When I explained to him the situation, he didn't hesitate to help, he was very determined to successfully help us fly. After some time spent being patient with my mom, he called his colleagues to figure out some ways. They figured to team up and help us out. There were several of them, from various departments. They comforted her, were gentle and patient with her. They even bought her a soda. The TSA checkpoint was successful. The manager of United Airlines came and offered solutions to the challenging situation, of a complimentary onsite hotel stay or delay it, in wanting to help make the flight an easier and more comfortable experience. She was also very patient and genuine. We passed the TSA checkpoint and went on with proceeding to the check-in gate. I wanted to let her know of my decision, but it would be a hassle and leave my mom for a moment to come back to talk to her. So, I didn't. I hope she understands. But I did speak to her about my appreciation. Samir kindly helped my mom all the way until she was seated on the plane. He said some comforting kind words to her before he left. We appreciate everything he has done. My mom is now happy and healthier living in CA with me. Congratulations to United Ground for having such a stella worker. He well represented the department and the airline. Thank you, Samir, his coworkers, United Airline manager, United Ground, and United Airlines for making it possible. Much appreciated.
