    David M.

This company is the worst to ever work for. They use false statements made by passengers to go with ratings to deactivate you. Please don't waste your time to ever drive for Lyft. They will screw you over eventually.

The drivers name and proof of how late he was.

Do you have to have a certain size car to drive lyft?

Actually their website lets you know the year cut off for vehicles, and how many people you need to be able to seat in the car or truck. I think it needs to seat four more besides you. But do look at their site for details about your particular… Read more

I dropped my credit card in the cab when I got to the bar to watch the Kentucky derby. Later as I was walking home because I didn't have any $ for a cab, a car stops and asks if my name is Margaret (I go by Maggie) I gave him a very skeptical look as I nodded. And he says I was your cab driver earlier I'm off work now, but you left your credit card in the cab. I went back to the building where I picked you up but the door man said he didn't know if you lived there (I do, bad doorman but he was just a temp) so I was hoping to find you walking home. What a wonderful person!

The driver began the ride asking me where I had flown in from and then used that as an anchor for a story about a woman from my town that had wanted to date him and he was still thinking about it, but he is married (feeling me out for affair potential?). He then proceeded to tell me his wife was a happy woman and did I know why--proceeding to boast about his sexual prowess. Holy harassment, batman. I called a friend, pretended that friend was my husband and told him my exact whereabouts, etc. in case this was the prelude to something more sinister. Calling my "husband" seemed to slow down the verbal impropriety, and I got ready to call 911, and turn on tracking for my phone. I managed to get him onto another topic and it was pretty quiet until the end of the ride when he began staring at me while reciting his astrology and some mularkey about the depth of his soul and eyes. Would never use this company again.

This is a rant about taxi drivers and BO…read more There is something called Uber and there is something called Lyft. Its a personal choice to take a cab; maybe its also a choice if you have a phone can can't downlead an app. Lately when I have been in a cab it feels like the cab driver has a fried curry sandwhich and has not showered in a few days. These same people will tell you right away business is slow. I stepped into one of these cabs last week and the guy driving was from Jamaica. I myself eat alot of jerk chicken that I make myself but I dont know where to find the "jerk Chicken BO" cologne that this guy had. It was horrendous. I needed a shower right after. This sounds kind of extreme i know. But if you are a taxi driver please shower at least once or 2 times a day, try not to eat things that are soo spicy that it leaks from ever pore in your body, maybe clean the car once a week, and then once your car is clean and you dont wreak of last Sunday's chicken vindaloo that was overspiced with cayenne pepper and paprika then start to pick up passengers. This is a problem that plagues most cabs I have taken lately.

I was taken from O'Hare Airpot to Arlington Heights on 6/9/2026 in Yellow Cab #1160. This driver…read moreSHOULD NOT be employed to drive passengers anywhere, she is very dangerous. First off, the cab was a mess, and it looked like she lives in the vehicle with all of the bags she had loaded in the front passenger's seat. Also, she is too frail to even lift suitcases into the trunk of the car. Next, she is very hard of hearing, and had to constantly look at her phone to watch the GPS directions since she could not hear them. While leaving the airport exit, she was not paying attention to the road and had to slam on her brakes suddenly to avoid rear ending the car in front of us, subsequently causing a multiple vehicle accident. She was swerving all over the highway and could not stay in a lane. The air conditioning in the cab was broken (it was 90 degrees outside) and the car windows had to be rolled all the way down, which caused even more confusion when I was trying to direct her due to her being hard of hearing. When we arrived at my destination, she neglected to put the car into park and proceeded to begin to exit the vehicle as the car was rolling forward and missed rear-ending my neighbor's new BMW until I yelled, "your car isn't in park!" I am sure with Uber and Lyft it is very difficult to find drivers to drive for cab companies now, however this is outright absurd that this woman was hired to transport people (and likely families with young children) all over the Chicagoland area. Do the cab companies not have any kind of requirements or safety procedures the drivers must adhere to? I was lucky and got to my destination unscathed (barely), but if I hadn't been completely aware of how she was driving, she could have caused a serious accident or worse. I paid over $60 for this horrible experience, and reached out to the cab company letting them know about it... I am not holding my breath that I will get a response.
