He said he had a transmission that would replace mine just fine. Let me look at the car and it had 156k miles on it. Asked him how much, and he said, "$550 with a 90 day warranty." I asked if there was any "wiggle room" on that price, and he replied he could come down to $500. He said he could install it with the torque converter, new gaskets, filters, and fluids for another $350. He went on to say, "I want you to have a good car with a good transmission because that is the business I do." Two days later I paid cash, got my car back and it drives better now than it ever did. But know this: Deal with Juan and Barbara only when making your deals. He is the man. At 313,999 miles I totaled the car when a man turned left in front of me. I gave Juan the car. There is a jewel of a woman named Barbara that works there. She is very excellent at dealing with the public and is a wealth of information about any and all things Ramona. She will not make any deals with you. A few months ago, Juan got me some beautiful rims for my 1999 Toyota Tacoma. Then I went to Costco and got some 90k tires all for less than half of what Pep Boys wanted to charge me.

He talked over me and was dismissive with my concerns. I was trying to locate my vehicles as it had been towed to the wrong location, which is what I was trying to explain. The service agent was very matter of fact and could really care less about what I had to say. I raised my voice to try to talk over him and asked that he let me speak and listen to what I had to say. His response was "Who are you yelling at", I proceeded to tell him that I was trying to explain my situation as I am trying to locate my vehicle and who my keys where given to". The service agent's response was "Good Luck finding your vehicle" and hung up on me. I hope the service calls are recorded and that the owners actually listen to the recording, so they are fully aware of the employee's response to customers concerns and service calls. I filed a complaint with AAA as it appears that they partner with Angelo's Towing for Roadside Assistance and my service request was sent to Angelo's Towing. I have never had any issues with Angelo's Towing until now. Worst service agent...perhaps he should NOT be dealing with the public! Too Bad I did not get his name but if the calls are recorded then the owners should be able to figure out who he is!
