liked the room size, bed was just ok, was supposed to be two queen beds but no way they are queen because I own a queen and these are smaller more like full size beds. Pillows not too comfy and smelled. Microwave on the outside was dirty, lamps and lamp shades were dirty, they didn't clean a piece of old popcorn from the carpet in front of bed, I also saw under the sofa an old red piece of fruit loop and old mini candy bar so obviously housekeeping did not do a thorough cleaning in this room before we checked in. Some stains on rugs inside the suite room we had. When you walk down the stairs from the 2nd to the first on the side entrance inside walls had spider webs and spider with dead bugs. Don't know why that was left uncleaned all you had to do was look up. So obviously their bug/pest control issues weren't on their list of things they need to prioritize for the guests. Yes I took pictures.Lady at front desk didn't smile once, so not a very welcoming arrival at this business. Breakfast was just ok.

This hotel is pretty new, so it is really in nice condition, has modern amenities and is clean. A one-night stay for a room with a single bed cost $111 after tax, however, if taken two minutes to sign up for free to become a Best Western Rewards member, you get 10% off this stay and $10 towards your next stay at any BW hotel. Totally worth it! We dropped in unannounced, and they were able to accommodate us immediately. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice, clean and had NO bed bugs which is always a plus! A mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer and FREE WIFI were all included. The bed was comfortable enough to get a good nights sleep. The linens clean and comfortable. The shower was clean, has strong water pressure, and has soap and shampoo provided. Up front, there's a small stable shop with snacks and necessities for sale, although they're a bit pricey. Continental breakfast is standard. Nothing over the top, and not your granny's cooking, but it does the trick (considering it's free). There is a decent variety to choose from... annnnd... The apple butter is great! Other amenities that we did not take advantage of include a free pool, free workout room and free media room/computer room. Overall, a nice, clean hotel at a reasonable price.

Our hotel room had bed bugs, so we checked out at 3am. Didn't hear from management until 3 days later after my wife began calling.

By far the best hotel in the area no doubt. Fast internet, spotless rooms. The place still looks brand new.

I was in town to visit a sick family member, but we didn't feel super comfortable with me staying in the house because I haven't been quarantined. When I knew I was getting a hotel, Baymont Tuscola was the obvious choice. I got to town earlier than expected (because I was an idiot who forgot about time zones), but was able to check in right away because a room was available. Posted at the front desk was a sign about precautions the hotel staff is taking to maximize safety during this pandemic. Things like shutting down the pool and fitness center (which seems obvious), but also maximizing social distancing with staff and guests by avoiding congregations in the lobby, which I appreciated. Protecting staff is one of the most important things a company can do. The room was as comfortable as I've come to expect, very spacious and clean. The keurig, refrigerator, and microwave all worked just fine, and the water heat and pressure were great. There are also several restaurants of varying quality in driving distance, as well as a drive thru liquor store so all of my needs were met while I was in the room. I had a steak dinner from TaCarbon that was still hot when I got back to the room because it was less than 3 minutes away. As always, it was a great stay at Baymont Tuscola. This is my go-to property when I'm in the Champaign area, and that hasn't changed. #socialmediapromo #baymontbywyndham #champaignarea #tuscola

If this isn't you, then this hotel is not for you. True story- my 6 yr old told me that "this was not a hotel and that if it was, it was the worst" -no working pool, dysfunctional bath tub and dysfunctional wifi ‍ I was at this hotel 3d,2n. It is the following Tuesday and I think I am now ready for this review. Deep breaths. There will be tips, pros, cons, and pictures. All of it will be true- I take reviews very seriously. I use/refer to them when I do anything and go anywhere. And being that I enjoy to travel with my family and, on occasion, with just me and my husband- I think about what others may want to know before they go, so, here we go. *Tips* -Research the area!‍‍ Arcola, IL. Key words: amish, rural, farms, country, the opposite of diverse‍‍‍‍‍‍. We were in the area for an EIU Graduation but being raised in Chicagoland, Arcola was uncomfortable at times. Not unsafe but- yeah. -Think twice before scheduling with a 3rd party. We used travelocity and there was miscommunication between me, the hotel and travelocity. *Pros* -Heather was amazing! We only got to interact with her on Sunday but she was over-accommodating, a hospitality genius. I wish she had been there all weekend. Might have impacted this review. Promote Heather to managment! -within walking minutes of 24/7 gas station, Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Mexican restaurant, diner, pizza place. This was convenient. ‍ -hotel was very clean & smelled nice. -fridge in room was spacious. -only 2 floors/levels - walls are pretty thick- we had a newborn baby next door who was a crier but we could barely hear him/her -on both floors, at the end of the hall, there was an outdoor staircase balcony thing with a smoker's ash tray thing, which was convenient as hell, being a smoker. They should add a bench on the 2nd like they have on the 1st. Still a + -The beds and pillows were so amazing! Made for comfy sleep! *CONS* -hotel wasn't prepared to accommodate an "extra blanket" request...lame. Was I supposed to pack an extra 1? No, you're a hotel, you need to be ready for that. The word is Hospitality. -they advertised Queen beds.... I own Queen beds and 1 king... those were Full sized mattresses- not Queens at all. No doubt. Lame. -NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND NO ELEVATOR ‍this is a big inconvenience for young families too being that it is so hard to travel light sometimes. -Yumi (manager/front desk lady) I'm just going to say it- this South Asian sister may not like black people she was short, condescending, from the start. Cutting me off while I'm giving her my info at check in. Not a fan of rude employees at a hotel -WIFI DRAMA ‍ my phone could connect but my PS4 could not no matter where we moved it and I have never had this issue, this being my 4th hotel this yr. We always travel with the PS4. When we approached Yumi, she basically said it was our problem and was not even interested in fixing it. She said she didn't know anything about PS4s lol but the hotel wifi worked and walked off I'm saying this again if it weren't already clear from an earlier Con- Yumi is in the wrong industry. She had no problem with coming off rude, disinterested in our comfort and satisfaction as paying guests to our hotel- Wild! - while I enjoyed having the outdoor staircase balcony thingy, the door didn't require key card access and so if someone wanted, they could walk into the building without being a paying guest yikes. - bath tub couldn't hold bath water. ‍ - our door to our room looked beat up and we had issues getting into our room at time. Like the key card wouldn't catch and at times we had to pull hard for the door to remain closed. -hot breakfast was ok but the breakfast window is too short in my opinion (6-9am) I'm used to 10 & 11 AM cut-offs ‍

I have always found Quality Inn to be very clean and comfortable and at a reasonable price. This place is an exception. They need to take the word Quality out of their name! These people have said that they renovated their hotel rooms, and I paid more to be in an upgraded (Executive room)! 1. The first room that they put me in did not have a smoke detector at all! 2. One chair was dirty, and the seat springs were broken. 3. There was black mold around the vanity sink. 4. The lamp shades were torn. 5. The bathroom tub bottom was filthy dirty. 5. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall! I did ask for a different room, and was moved to another which was barely in better shape! For breakfast, I was told by a staff member that the coffee pot was broken, and found that the scrambled eggs and biscuit gravy BOTH were cold, although the man warmed it up quickly. By that time, I had lost my appetite and opted to go to McDonald's instead! I spent over $125 per night for this fleabag joint! NEVER AGAIN. This is not a Bed and Breakfast, no breakfast voucher either - so forget anything you read otherwise - I complained about the sign that was even in the window as you walked in stating Bed and Breakfast, which they did remove the next day. Speaking of walking in - I had to push the automatic door to the lobby open (they did fix that the next day) only to find a kiosk virtual front desk (from a different town/state who knows where, that had to call about everything that required attention). After we had drove a few hours, we did get a text to warn us that the elevator was broken (so check on that before you go, because it was still broke when we left). I had booked a room specific to 2nd floor, as my wife has some trouble with stairs after hip surgery (none on first floor, and 3rd floor only has stair access). After the steep climb with luggage (We heard some poor soul struggling to get luggage up the stairs and thought he was going to have a heart attack, but he made it before I was able to get out to help). We got settled in, but before the day was over... the TV quit working. Mr. kiosk suggested the typical things (reboot etc...) that I had already tried and had to show him a picture of the screen that showed it had no connection. He said they would have someone fix the next day after treating me like I did not know anything (I worked in IT over 40 years, I can tell when a Roku cannot connect to a network). Next day, after being out all day, came in to relax - no TV still, Mr. Kiosk said we could move to another room... OK we pack up and move to a new room, and it is super cold, go to Mr. Kiosk again because we could not find a thermostat, his solution ... we move to another room that has a thermostat we can adjust on the third floor - no - we are tired we don't want to lug up another flight of stairs, we will just get out another blanket. We did get a call at that point, and I was told the thermostat is currently in another room for the whole floor, but I can go and adjust (got there and it was set to 66), so we finally was able to settle in and watch TV for the night. (They are planning on making changes to have individual controlled, but something you might want to consider). The last day was better, but not sure we will be back even though we did like the room itself. Definitely, buyer beware - ask before booking.
