Walked into the room and the AC was set to 78 degrees, it took a couple hours to cool down. The refigrator is one of those that does not allow you to set a temputure so nothing is cold in it and it will not stay cold. The desk has goo on it from the previous person and it was not cleaned. the bed covers had red marks on them. I went to was my clothes and the washer has not been cleaned. there was mold growing in the dispensor. The tv does not display any what is on each channel. Very unhappy place very dirty place. they do not do a good job at cleaning here. DO NOT RECOMMEND. This is my 2nd and last stay. read more

Friendly and accommodating staff. The room was big and clean. There is a nice refrigerator with a freezer. There is also a microwave and coffee station. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. The morning breakfast room was large and there were many breakfast selections. The selections were far better than any mid-range hotel we have stayed at. I highly recommend this "on the way" hotel. read more

I booked a room at the Tuscola Holiday Inn in March for April 7th, received a confirmation April 4th and then found out they canceled my rez 4:45pm April 6th because they overbooked (Yeah, they did. AFTER they were offered more money for the room). After 1.5 hours talking with customer service l was told that if we could find another hotel HI would reimburse me. Found a hotel ($504!), was given the case number and info I needed to submit a receipt only to be slapped down and given 20,000 points instead. That may get me a room for a night but what if they "overbook" again. WTF, Holiday Inn? read more

Nothing too spectacular about this hotel, but nothing really bad either. I believe it is an older hotel since the sink is outside the shower/toilet area and the place seemed to have been updated at some point along the way. The one complaint I had was that at breakfast, the yogurts I pulled out of the fridge all had cracked open lids...yuck! I felt the price was a bit high for this place since it is in a smaller town and you could spend the same for a nicer one elsewhere. read more

This is an older hotel that has a few updates. I ha stayed here 3 times and it is not as good as other Holiday Inn Express in this area. For example, they had tears in the window screens when I stayed here 9 months ago (Room 118) and they STILL have the damaged screens in there today. They don't seem to care to do a simple repair, then I don't care to stay here again. Sorry. read more

I had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was always fresh and all the employees were very accommodating n friendly. They even deliver a newspaper to your door every morning, not sure who reads it but it's a nice gesture. I really liked how they stock up the coffee in my room without having to wait until you're completely out which is what I usually see... If you're in the area this hotel is a great choice. read more

We liked the hotel and the free breakfast. However, we brought our own gluten-free food and the in-room fridge did not work. Disappointed.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It looks sort of nice but the rooms have its downs. I was going to stay for a month due to a job but that didn't happen thanks to bed bug bites. I was moved to a different room but that room had a restroom with mold in it. The rooms had spider webs so watch out for that too. I believe it is too pricy for what the room contains. By the way the beds are old I was looking to see if the mattress had bed bugs and I see this big O stain of idk what just looked disgusting. Watch out for spiders no kidding. My daughters and I stayed here after a house fire for about 2 weeks and the staff here at this hotel was outstanding!!! Mary, Nancy, Patrick everyone made us feel like we were part of their family. They always greeted us with a smile, checked on us, gave our dog treats, gave my girls daily afternoon cookies. If we ever had a problem or an issue it was handled immediately. I live in Tuscola and if you are going to be visiting this area this is def the hotel to stay at! Great staff, great free breakfast, great pool, great laundry facilities, comfortable rooms, great location right next to the Outlets at Tuscola. read more
