Went here with a couple of friends yesterday. The crab udon was delicious! We went on a Monday afternoon so it was very quiet and service was quick.

Vegetarian food! Came here for a quick lunch. * We got: 1. Crispy Mushroom: the sauce pairs nicely with it. Super crispy 2. Nem nuong: different components include; apple slices, crispy wonton roll, vegetarian meat, lettuce (We always order one of these) Portions are not bad. Service is good!

Super quick & friendly service & food was AMAZING. Huge portions, couldn't finish all my rice. Crispy oyster mushroom appetizer was so delicious! My daughter loved her clay pot pork. Took off 1 star because I wanted to buy the jerky after noticing it after I paid our bill. They force you to pay at least $10 for credit card. After paying $74 I feel like an exception could have been made.

I dashed myself a treat-yoself meal and was craving something crunchy and a random desire to try vegan fish, and Green Lotus had exactly that. Perfectly seasoned Crispy Seasoning Oyster Mushrooms had a delectable crunch and the accompanying sauce was the bomb.com. Then the faux fish craving was fulfilled with their Sautéed Crunchy Fish with Lemongrass & Pepper. I cut up the fish and wrapped it in seaweed, inhaling and savoring each bite. Everything tasted so delicious I had no need to add spicy chili crisp.

chose to try this place because i wanted something nutritious/healthy after a work out. i am not a vegan/vegetarian but love trying vegan/vegetarian places. i ordered for pick up through the doordash app. the person working the register was very nice and brought the food out to me while i was sitting at a table waiting for the food to be ready. the food was still hot, fresh, and delicious when i ate it at home. the nem nuong was still crispy, and the bo lúc lắc was very flavorful! don't be deceived by the photo, they were generous with the "meat" which i loved! the way they plated the rice on top of the food covered a lot of the goodies. there is a parking lot which is a major plus for me because i despise street/parallel parking. i will be back because i love vietnamese food!

The food here is amazing. At least the two dishes I got were authentic tasting even tho it was vegan. My gf doesn't like the taste of meat very much and so I was so happy she got to taste what Bo Bun Hue and crispy chow mein would taste like. I would highly recommend. The portions are huge too we took left overs home and had another meal. You pay at the front and the food came out quickly.

Green Lotus is one of our favourites vegan restaurants in the bay and we've been here numerous times. In our recent visit, we ordered the usual Oyster Mushroom appetiser which we absolutely LOOVEEEE and we also got their Thai style soup. I remember the oyster mushroom always being fantastic, but was a bit let down this time to find it not hot and crispy as it usually is. Nevertheless, delicious! Thai soup hit all the right spots - a yummy mix of veggies, mock meat and pineapple. The portions are big and just these two items was enough for me & my partner - we devoured them. Hope to back many times before the end of winter ;)

My favorite spot for vegetarian Vietnamese food! We usually go to the location on Story Road, but we thought it would be pretty packed for Lunar New Year, so we went to the Bascom location instead! Everything tasted amazing as usual. My favorites are the vegetarian bun bo hue and deep fried oyster mushrooms. I also love their Green Lotus Hot Pot, but that would be for next time! I feel like the service here is so much better than the service at the Vietnam Town location, and the interior is much more spacious as well.

Another review for G Lo - Midtown version. I don't have much to say. This place is just as good as the OG on Story Rd. Like the Story Rd location, It even has the random vagrants outside to enliven your experience! All jokes aside, the food, service, and basically everything at this location is indistinguishable from the Story Rd location. Read: this place is good!! I have never had a bad dish or experience here and I don't think I ever will. This location has a mini freezer filled with delicious vegan items to take home so you can be vegan even when you aren't at Green Lotus. G LO G LO G LO

N1. Vietnamese Pho Noodle Soup (no onions and no cilantro)
Jenny T.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was not very busy when we came because it was a late lunch, so we were seated quickly. Food: We ordered the tofu spring rolls to share. They were good, and I'd order them again. We each ordered the pho for lunch. I enjoyed the variety of vegan meats available. The entire menu is plant based. Service: Service was a little slow, but not too bad. The four stars was because it was a little slow. Everyone we interacted with was very nice. This is not the restaurant's fault, but the parking here was not great. It was a packed plaza. TL;DR - fully plant based vietnamese food, what more can I ask for

3.9 stars! This restaurant is super clean and the staff was so attentive. The menu is quite extensive so theres something for everyone. I loved their spring roll sampler. The eggplant dish was plentiful with the perfect amount of sweet and savory flavors. You must get their birds nest crispy noodles! It was a generous amount. It's noteworthy that their "meats" have the texture of real meat.

I know I've written review here before, but for some reason this popped up again. Lol so here's an updated one. Hee I love this place!! I have a number of food, allergies, the main one being, I'm allergic to monosodium glutamate, which is sadly in a lot of Asian food that I love! I find myself having to cook at home or making my own sauces if I don't go out for sushi, plain sushi. This particular restaurant doesn't have any MSG in their sauces And has a lot of vegetarian and even vegan options within their menu! My family and I love eating here since some of us are vegetarian and pescatarians! The meat lovers in our family also liked the shaken beef and the barbecue pork rolls/A4. They cannot tell that it's tofu And love the flavor!! Service here is always quick and easy. We always get new dishes and haven't found a dish. We don't like yet. Since it's summer, I have to recommend there mango sticky rice! It's simply delicious. I also love the open seated area with air conditioning and the beautiful mural on the side! The neon green chairs are cute and retro and I also like how the majority of the people that are cooking wear masks. So I am thankful of that. I get takeout food here more than I can remember, and the parking is slim to none. I know a handful of people double park in handicap to run in and get takeout. I was feel bad for the DoorDash drivers. But the restaurant itself is delicious!! I will definitely be back here again and again. Hee

A10. Crispy Seasoning Oyster Mushroom

Some of the best veggie food I have had. The oyster mushrooms were very well seasoned and the fried rice was buttery goodness! They also have a store in the restaurant where they sell the faux meat at very reasonable prices!

Please let us know if there are combination gluten-free AND vegan dinner items available, or is it one or the other choice?

Is everything on the menu vegan? Or is it better to call and ask what is/can be made vegan?

Not everything is vegan. You can try and call to ask, but not everyone speaks English. I have huge food allergies and I'm safer eating vegetarian and vegan food versus animal products but I've never had an issue eating at this particular restaurant.

Are you open for take out during this Shelter in place in order?

We will open for take out on 05/01/20. Thanks

Are the fake meats gluten free?

The fake meat is "tofu" for the most part, tofu is soy bean, so as far as I know soy beans are not gluten.

I was informed that the patio is open and to order using a QR code at one of the tables in the patio. You have to sign in and create an account to order. It took me a minute to order. I wanted to try their specialty dishes especially because they have mushroom dishes and soy protein dishes. But by the time I was able to figure out how to order and sign up, I was pressed for time to order a meal and ended up ordering crispy spring rolls. Once your order is placed, you wait for a text to let you know your order is ready. Then I have to pick up at the window. Spring rolls were okay. I really wanted to try the crispy oyster mushrooms or the lion mane mushroom dish. Or even the Sea Fruits plate but I wasn't going to have enough time to enjoy them. The patio was fine. A few picnic tables. You bus your own table at the end. Everything they used was biodegradable. I wish it was a better experience. The food looked delicious in pictures, but eating in an outdoor patio, ordering from a QR code, and picking up your food from the window made for a sad and sub par experience.

My family and I come here often because the food is genuinely delicious, and the atmosphere is zen, clean, and peaceful. Unfortunately, the service has consistently been lacking. I normally would not leave a negative review, but our most recent visit was frustrating enough that I felt the need to say something. Despite there being staff available, it took quite a while just to get seated. After sitting for about 10 minutes, we still had not been helped and had to flag someone down just to place our order. The same thing happened when we needed water and basically anything else throughout the meal. There was no attentiveness from the staff, and no server ever checked on our table during the visit. To make matters worse, we ordered 2 bowls of Bun Bo Hue, but only one came out initially. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, the second bowl finally arrived; and only after we had to flag down staff twice to ask whether the order had been forgotten. The food and atmosphere are the reasons we keep coming back, but the service experience continues to be disappointing and takes away from what could otherwise be a great restaurant.

The fermentation concept is woven into everything from the beers and botanical mocktails to the food and it actually works incredibly well. The atmosphere has this warm, artsy, almost hidden-gem energy that makes you want to stay for hours. What really stands out is that the place feels intentional. You can tell the owners care deeply about craft, community, and creating an experience instead of just another brewery. Fox Tale Fermentation is a small place like a Japanese ramen shop. My high school classmate suggestion this place and I thought she was vegetarian. I asked her why this place; she wanted to try it out but she's a meat eater. I'm down to try new places so we went. When we went, it was really crowded for a Thursday dinner time. A lady saw my cane and offer her table to sit at so I felt seen. You pretty much order at the front counter; you pour your own water. Front counter was so nice to us as we try to order. We got the funk salad and kombucha. We didn't order a lot because we wanted to try the place. When we got to our table, it was near the door. Our funk salad came and it was hefty mf. It was a bowl of salad all right. So you know how I said earlier that I don't like vegetarian food? OMG I was amazed. The best salad I've eaten. The vinaigrette was so good; it was citrusy. My salad was cut into small pieces so it wasn't big that I need to cut it. The sweet potato was sauteed. The princess sauerkraut was so good. I don't like sauerkraut at all but it was divine. I never tried kombucha because I thought it was dirt tea. I was wrong. It has the fermented taste and I never knew. After trying it, it's not something I would order again. I liked how I was eating "healthy" food after I ate bad yesterday. I don't have that bad bloated feeling. It's very wheelchair friendly and restroom is unisex. The restroom is clean. The establishment is clean. I would go here again if I have a vegetarian visitor. This place rocks!

Clear broth, comes with an assortment of vegan proteins, and it's been consistent every single time over the years. Best had in cold weather. The spicy noodle soup is solid too but it doesn't hit the same way. The SP4 gourmet deluxe is my other staple and I order it like an appetizer. The protein comes out fried with a crispy shell and soft inside. The sauce leans hard on lemongrass and citrus but it's savory throughout, not sweet. Haven't had anything like it anywhere else. Orange nuggets are chewy with a citrusy and sweet glaze. Good enough that I skip the actual appetizers for these. The Szechuan Pineapple is spicy, salty, and savory with chewy gluten and a citrus undertone running through it. Green papaya salad is strictly sour and tangy. Fresh, nothing heavy about it. Sweet potato curry is definitely underrated. Potato goes soft all the way through and the whole thing tastes hearty without being heavy. Basil eggplant tofu skews sweet and the eggplant goes silky and it's a family favorite. Eggplant claypot has the same idea but the sauce is better and it comes out in the claypot which makes it feel like a proper dish. Jalapeno BBQ seitan was a miss. The BBQ sauce tastes flat.
