We hadn't cleaned it in the six years we'd been living here (vacuum, yes - deep clean, no) and we have a dog, so even though it wasn't horrendous, it needed a good cleaning. I used Jim's service to do my move-out carpet cleaning. I've been in the military for 20 years and if you can imagine, have done LOTS of moving requiring carpets getting cleaned from rentals over the years. He is very professional, polite, and the carpets look great. I kinda feel that it was my own carpets that were getting cleaned and not someone else's. This company has some of the best customer service around. The technician arrived on time and was very professional, efficient and kind. He gave me some additional options, one I went with but declined the others. I never felt pressured to choose any of the options. I had a bit of a small issue a few days later and contacted the company. The owner, Jim, promptly called me and we arranged for him to come out to investigate. He quickly discovered the issue and immediately fixed it. It is rare to experience this type of customer service. When I made the appointment with this company, the lady on the phone asked me about how many animal stains there were on our carpets. I told her I didn't care about that because the carpets would be removed in a couple months' time. I was only interested in getting all the dander and pet hair out. When the appointment time comes, the 2 men that arrived told me how I NEEDED to have the pet stains removed because the process will make the house stink of urine and that only their "special solvent" will remove the odor. **AND** that the price of the cleaning was a function of how many pet stains there were. To say the least, I was pretty pissed off at this point. So basically they won't tell you how much it'll cost you until they've done the work. Unfortunately we were desperate to move into the house and we let them clean the master bedroom just so neither my husband or I would have to deal with allergy attacks. In the end, I was charged $200 for the master bedroom. Ridiculous. When we sold our previous home, I paid $150 to have the carpets cleaned in the ENTIRE HOUSE. To summarize: 1. There's no price transparency 2. They should have LISTENED to my needs and have been forthright enough to tell me they wouldn't be able to fulfill my needs BEFORE they got there. 3. Their prices are outrageous for literally 30 minutes worth of work. read more

To Jim's credit he arrived right on time. He was friendly, courteous and a pleasure to work with. The carpet on the stairs "came out" looking great. Initially, the carpet on the main floor looked nice also. However, as carpet dried several of the spots we were hoping would be removed remained and are very noticeable. For the price we expected much better results. Can not recommend the Chem-Dry method. read more

Jim, the owner/operator if this Chem Dry franchise was terrific. He was able to fit me in on relatively short notice so I can be ready to host Thanksgiving. All his pricing was covered up front, and then again at the time of service, so there are no surprise/hidden fees or costs. He discussed my carpet needs and concerns with me and developed a plan that worked best for me and my budget. He was not pushy, nor did he try to upsell me. When it came time to clean my carpets, he was very thorough. He did not rush through like other companies do. He took his time and actually cleaned my carpets! My traffic areas look phenomenal. Not only are they clean, the fibers are standing up again. He attacked stains and neutralized pet odor. I am very happy with the job Jim did and would recommend him to the community.
