    a variety of plants

I found this plant nursery while traveling. I am happy that I visited this location. Their selection of plants are charming! Their plants include an indoor selection, garden vegetables/fruits and perennials. I specifically enjoyed the greenhouse that houses a variation of indoor plants. The greenhouse offers selections of philodendrons, succulents, pothos, peperomia and more. My attention gravitated towards the Mezoo Trailing Red and the Variegated Shell Ginger. Both plants are beautiful and will be great additions to my plant collection. The staff at Green Field are friendly. I enjoyed speaking with a young lady with blonde hair (sorry I don't know her name) about the nursery's philodendron collection. I love when I find a fellow plant lover that likes the same types of plants as I do!

If my mom could give this place 6 stars she would! It is beautiful and the plants are amazing. We came here for a Christmas tree and were assisted by Ben, who was absolutely lovely ! Everyone there was delightful honestly . We love our tree and got a gorgeous fraiser .

I have not gone since the pandemic so this review is for before that. But I have to say, the selection here is so nice! They have an ample amount of indoor plus outdoor plants to choose from. All very healthy and some harder to find varieties! I picked up a beautiful Calathea and a few other easy to tend to items as I'm just starting out in the plant world. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable, my mom goes here at least once a month and really enjoys that they get new plants in often, often times ones that she does not yet have. The prices are on par with other nurseries and are not unreasonable, they have a lot of parking plus a bathroom.

I have driven past this intersection of Falls Road & Northern Parkway a gazillion times and never knew this was place nestled here hiding in plain sites. Early Saturday morning visits to nurseries is becoming a thing of mine lately and it's so calming. This place is not huge, but it's quaint and packs a punch with its variety. I loved walking through and looking at all of the plants, trees and accessories that they have. I was told that it can be a bit pricey but I did not feel that way. It could be that I went while they were having their half off summer sale but a lot of the items were decently priced in my opinion. I have become low key obsessed with the Alocasia/Colocasia species since my visit to Bali last year and towards the end of my visits I spotted some nice ones on the outside of the gate, I walked outside and around and noticed that they were planted there as a part of the landscape and not in buckets for sale I did ask the staff if they sold them and I was directed to an area where there were a few left but none looking like the variety planted out front. Looking for an Alocasia Diamond Head and I am sure I come across one at some point. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed my visit. To be that close to a busy intersection, it surprisingly still felt like I travelled far out for this visit.

I absolutely LOVE this place! So glad that I found out about it. Just GO...you will not be disappointed!!!! I will definitely be visiting again soon! Such a wonderful flower haven!!!!

Thanks again to my work I am also on a new email and it was not done in

I found a nice selection of Christmas trees but they were way out of my price range. I usually pay 65 dollars for a tree that we cut down ourselves and get a free cup of cocoa. Here, the trees ranged up to over $200 and the selection was limited.

Amazing customer service! I asked the employees multiple questions about the plants and they were all super helpful. It's a smaller nursery than I'm used to but it's packed with everything any gardener would need - whether it be soil, tools, herbs, trees, planters, and so on. The plants are also reasonably priced and healthy. It was a great place to go to celebrate Earth day

I've been wanting to become a plant mom for some time now. So, I took it upon myself to research some local nurseries. Nothing is better than supporting small and local businesses! This cute nursery is located on the corner of a road and you could truly miss it in a blink of an eye. The parking lot is also super tiny, but other than that it is nice. They have a good selection of plants and a nice shot for all your gardening needs. Some plants looked a little unwell, but most were nice and seemed to be kept well. While I had an okay experience, I did see an employee getting a little snappy with a customer. Other than that I'm super excited about my new plant!

Ask the Community - Green Fields Nursery

Would they be recommended to do a small area in front of my kitchen approx 10'× 6'?

We have a very small area and they were delightful at designing it; Michael suggested materials, we talked, and the team planted. Then, he came back to replant bulbs. We will have him come back come next spring.

I tend never to adjust reviews but when relevant clarifications are provided, you should be open to…read morejust that. Hence this review. This review is based on the estimate process, so I can not give a grade on the actual quality of the work. And generally I do not take the time to grade based just on an estimate. Some prices will work for both parties, some prices will not. You move on, no big deal. However I felt the need to make an exception in this case. I gave this company a try (as far as the estimate) based on the few reviews available. I called the # for this company, and spoke to I am guessing, the owner. He came out when I was out (spouse was there), and provided the estimate via email. I do not fault anyone for looking to make money, that is the purpose of having a business and commerce. However the estimate here was egregiously out of line with the other estimates received by a factor of ten. Hence me informing him very simply, yet straight forward and politely, no thanks. It did initially strike us as a hail-mary, gouging price, hence this review. To honestly help inform others, as Yelp has always been very helpful and informative to me, in making my commerce decisions. However after discussing with the contractor he pointed out these were not apples to apples comparison. His scope of work included more expensive options (such as sodding opposed to seeding) . I did point out to perhaps offer more tailored estimates, or a range of estimates to be more in line with his customer's respective budgets, to avoid potential sticker shock. But after speaking to him, I am satisfied this was simply a miscommunication, rather than a padded estimate, and nothing malicious was meant. And my adjusted rating represents this. Hopefully this review will be useful to someone, both customers and contractors, in making sure both parties are on the same page regarding budget, before working up estimates. Thanks for your time in reading this review.

Tyler Hollins called me after my initial review was posted. He and his father, the president of…read moreHollins Organic Products, came out to see me and follow up on my concerns. I dug down past the level where I've been able to ameliorate the sand/clay compositon of what the "Leafgro mix" I ordered to show them what it was like. Mr. Hollins (the elder) told me that they get their topsoil when developers strip all toilsoil from sites to be developed, and sometimes it's just all clay because that was the topsoil condition where they got it. The soil is not sterilized so may contain some seeds. Mine may as well have been seeded in some sort of agricultural setting - thicker with weeds than my yard, which is saying something, and with weeds that never grew here before this dirt came. Leafgro, he said, may be sterilized by the temperatures it reaches while composting (which I suspect is the case - I've never heard of this happening with leafgro alone), but that they don't sterilize the soil because it takes all nutrients out. Well. This wasn't AT ALL clear from the product description on the website, which currently reads: "Our leafgro Soil is a special blend of our quality screened Top Soil and Leafgro to produce a high quality blend for planting and lawn use. It is our premium soil mix which provides all the organics you will need for your gardening needs." ... when, as an earlier reviewer pointed out, you do not want this in your garden if what happened to me is a possibility. For fill, sure. Not for growing. Maybe for a lawn if you don't care what you're mowing (you probably shouldn't) or if you spread invasive plants (you probably should). To my mind, it is absolutely their responsibility to tell you both that the topsoil may be all clay, and to tell you that it may also be chock full of seeds. The Hollinses offered to refund my payment, to update their website to make it less misleading, and to help me remove the old soil and replace it with something less problematic at the end of the growing season. I told them they didn't have to do all that, but they insisted, and I reiterated that clarity to future customers was my priority - gardeners have got to stick together, especially in an area rife with folks trying to make bay safe gardens full of native plants. Well, I got the check today, so I'm updating this, but the website remains unchanged. When it changes, I'll feel better - and update this again. I could really use the help getting soil in and out to fix this, and appreciate that offer, but honestly I feel weird about that on top of other stuff - or without the truth in advertising.

Since 2020, the mulch we have used has been filled with weeds leading to higher costs in lawn care. The front desk also very dishonest and pricing is ambiguous. The customer service I received during my recent visit last week left a bitter taste in my mouth. I placed an online order to pick up. I was gifting this order as part of a congratulatory gift to a friend on the purchase of her new home. When I got there I waited in line behind two ladies. The associate was super personable and chipper with them each. With each transaction, making comments on their order and even stars to one how she had "just grabbed the last one" of something while giggling. When my turn came I did not receive the same customer service. She went in the back and got the order and asked me to sign a form. While signing it I asked if the store had GIFT BAGS or WRAPPING PAPER. She says "I can give you another shopping bag and some tissue paper. I said no I need a gift bag, how about the wrapping paper? She says "the wrapping paper is $8". I think to myself, I never asked for the price of the wrapping paper I'm asking if it's available and if it is please show it to me! So I ask her what the wrapping paper looks like because obviously she's not trying to wrap the item and not going to offer it. Instead of the associate saying well let me show you a sample, she begins to verbally explain the print on the wrapping paper. While she's explaining it she's also taking out tissue paper and another shopping bag (which I didn't ask for). I asked if it was possible to see the wrapping paper and she shuffles around behind the register and asks another associate if there was any up front. Finally she goes in the back and brings the smallest piece of wrapping paper to show me. I agreed to buy it and before anything she reminded me it was $8. I paid, she took my item in the back and wrapped it. When she brought it back she was about to hand it to me until I looked at the shopping bag that had my receipt attached (because why would you hand me an item instead of putting it in the bag?) The entire time she has this forced smile like I was taking up her time. While in fact she took up her own time by not being proactive. I've never had to beg for wrapping paper before, I guess there's a first for everything. I won't be going back in there, too much unnecessary hassle.
