The project included removing the above-ground pool along with all of the dirt, sand, and gravel that supported it. I also wanted the area leveled and restored with fresh topsoil and sod. In addition, I wanted my attached deck, screened-in porch, and railings completely replaced. One important request was enclosing the underside of the deck to prevent animals from making it their home or shelter. I also wanted the screened porch upgraded with a ceiling fan and interior lighting, while the exterior would have three floodlights and illuminated railings. Lazo Outdoors wasn't the lowest-priced or the highest-priced company--they were right in the middle. One of the biggest reasons I chose them was their excellent reputation and the warranty they stand behind. The lowest bid came from an LLC that left me concerned about the quality of workmanship and whether they would still be around if I ever needed warranty service. Choosing Lazo Outdoors gave me confidence that I was making a long-term investment rather than simply selecting the lowest price. Carlos Fuentes was the lead contractor on my demolition and remodeling project. If I could give him more than five stars, I absolutely would. His craftsmanship, work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in his work are truly exceptional. Just as impressive was his communication throughout the entire project. He constantly made sure I was satisfied with every aspect of the work and was always willing to answer questions or make adjustments to ensure everything met my expectations. The finished project exceeded everything I had envisioned. In fact, several of my neighbors were so impressed with the transformation that they contacted Lazo Outdoors for estimates on projects of their own. The attention to detail was incredible. Carlos and his crew installed a new three-switch panel inside my home, allowing separate control of the exterior lights, interior porch lights, and the Ring camera motion sensor they also installed. The ceiling fan remote was professionally mounted on the wall in the location we chose, and they even asked us what height we preferred for the fan before installation. They added three new electrical outlets--two inside the porch and one outside. The railing lights were installed with programmable timers that allow me to set them for day/night operation or specific on/off schedules. They also installed a new locking porch door, allowing us to customize the hardware to our preference. Throughout the entire project, Carlos made us feel like valued customers instead of just another job on the schedule. That level of professionalism is becoming harder and harder to find. The plumbing company left a mess, damaging our tree, crushing bushes, and leaving big pile of dirt in the yard. We called Ridley's. They came out promptly for an estimate, and once we said yes, they came out promptly and did an amazing job. They did so well that our neighbor was watching them work and hired them on the spot to do some grading in his yard. For the grass, they offered us the option of doing sod or seed. We went with the seed, so the (after) picture just shows the straw, but we anticipate having a beautiful lawn next summer. They were highly professional, worked hard, and simply got the job done as it should be done. Every time we've needed tree work, we've gathered multiple quotes--and Cleartree has always been the most affordable or very close to it. But what truly sets them apart is their professionalism, efficiency, and care for the property. This time around, we had some routine yard maintenance and one large pine tree removed due to excessive moisture damage. Their quote was very reasonable, and they got us scheduled within just a couple of weeks. From start to finish, communication was excellent. I received a confirmation text the day before, along with helpful instructions for prepping the area (moving vehicles, etc.). Their crew showed up early--trucks were waiting by 7:50 AM for an 8:00 start--and right on time, the foreman knocked on the door, walked through the plan, and confirmed all the details before getting started. By 8:10 AM, they were working on the 40-50 ft tree, and by 8:40, it was safely down--without so much as a branch touching anything else. Shortly after, they ground the stump and leveled the area so well that if it weren't for the fresh soil, you'd never know a tree had been there. Not only did they protect the yard using plates for the skid steer, but they also raked up every last branch and twig from the pruning and takedown process. Honestly, the yard looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. By 11:30 AM, they were wrapped up--just in time for the incoming storms.
