Naj did a wonderful job at creating a design based on my list of "must haves" and my husband and I were impressed with the results. They were meticulous with the details and followed up for our feedback. This is our second project with them. The first job was clearing out our backyard and completing a full paver installation. The plumbing company left a mess, damaging our tree, crushing bushes, and leaving big pile of dirt in the yard. We called Ridley's. They came out promptly for an estimate, and once we said yes, they came out promptly and did an amazing job. They did so well that our neighbor was watching them work and hired them on the spot to do some grading in his yard. For the grass, they offered us the option of doing sod or seed. We went with the seed, so the (after) picture just shows the straw, but we anticipate having a beautiful lawn next summer. They were highly professional, worked hard, and simply got the job done as it should be done. We talked to another company that seemed cheaper, but they didn't give me the confidence that Donta gave me, and now that the job is done, I can say that confidence was well placed.

The job was half done. I told him and asked him to come back and complete the job and he said it's normal for the weeds to come back and that a lot of his customers have him weed on a monthly basis... maybe a weed here or there, but I paid well for weeding and mulching to eradicate weeds and this was not our arrangement. Did not seem to understand that to keep weeds from growing back, he should have put down weed mat or sprayed - he did not do either and did not raise either as 'extra'. So, $300 for these areas and 2 weeks later it looks like my yard bed is heading back to where we started. Spraying here and there is reasonable as a homeowner, but as a landscaping company, I expected better service and more knowledge. He told me he did his job well and isn't coming back. I wanted to give a chance for someone to come back and correct, but he said no, so I want to leave an honest review for other yelp users looking for a similar project.

We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000. Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. The quote I received was very reasonable. I was hesitant due to the reasonable price (I received quotes for triple the price), but I was on a very tight budget and the company reassured their knowledge of trees and proper maintenance. Within that same week, they went to my property and completed the job in one day. The trees are properly pruned, are healthy and look fantastic. They hauled away all debris and left my property neat and clean. I very much appreciate this honest company and their professionalism.
