American Tree service came in at $200 below the other bid. It took a bit but they came out today and removed the massive limb safely. They quickly dispatched all of the limbs into tiny chips. They also trimmed off everything I requested. They also cleaned up all the mess including the all the tiny branches, raked and used a blower to clean off all of the saw dust. They did so well that our neighbor was watching them work and hired them on the spot to do some grading in his yard. For the grass, they offered us the option of doing sod or seed. We went with the seed, so the (after) picture just shows the straw, but we anticipate having a beautiful lawn next summer.
