Receptionist asked if she can assign me with someone else. I said anyone but Jimmy (owner). My son and I had him once before and he did not do a good job. When I walked in today, they gave me Leo. He took over Allen's station. I asked for 2" off with lots of layers to give my hair some volume since I have very thin hair. Leo showed me how much he would cut off and I gave him the go ahead. I thought Asians are supposed to be great at math but holy shhhh he started cutting and cutting and cutting and it got shorter and shorter. At this point it was hard for me to say something. Pretty sure that he cut off FIVE whole inches. Not only did he cut off 5" but the layers he gave me were very choppy, it looks like he hacked it with a saw. The receptionist came by to sweep up my hair with a dust pan and my eyes were bugging out because I was in shock at how much he cut off. I spend an obscene amount on high quality hair products at home to keep my hair healthy. Now it looks like shhhh. Never in my entire life have I ever gotten such a bad cut. I know it's just hair and it will grow back but I felt I need to write this review to warn others. When layers are trimmed, it should fall softy and naturally. He also thinned out my ends so much that it looks weird. OMG!! I can't!! The strange thing is, all the best stylist at this salon, Allen, Ben, Jackie left. Now I will have to go into NYC to find a new salon. This has traumatized me.

I showed Kyle MULTIPLE pictures of the shape/style I wanted and specifically said I did not want my hair to have a choppy, V-shape. This is EXACTLY what I got. Immediately after leaving, I went to another hair stylist in an attempt to correct be disaster. Kyle thinned my hair so badly that the other stylist was shocked. While my hair was being colored, I was very uncomfortable because the two stylists were speaking about me in their native tongue. Even the color, which I was initially happy with, came out uneven in the back. Kyle seemed like a nice guy, but in retrospect, I should have refused to pay the $180 for this horrendous experience. First of all, my nail tech, Eric, was *****AWESOME****!!!!!! He gave me the BEST 20 minute foot and leg massage. Strong and firm hands are what I prefer for rub downs, and he delivered! The execution of the pedicure and polish job was top notch as I always expect and receive at this salon. ----------- June or July 2025: Rating 3 stars For today's services I brought hubby with me for a couples pedicure session and last minute I opted for eyebrow waxing. Pedicure: Mint $40 + I have to give a special shout-out to Amy! Her attention to detail is amazing. She did my pedicure weeks ago, and I was genuinely surprised when she remembered me on my return visit - despite me having completely forgotten hers! That kind of personal recognition truly sets her apart. And, as always, the pedicure itself was expertly done. Though my eyebrows turned out alright, the service was subpar. The older gentleman who performed the waxing had a very gruff demeanor from the start. I've been here a number of times and have been fairly satisfied with the results although the technician that does my nails frequently catches an attitude, especially if you ask her to adjust something. She had said in the past that she's the professional and doesn't want anyone telling her how to do her job. She doesn't take feedback well at all. She had criticisms about the way that I was positioning my chair which was to turn it sideways each time She was doing one of my hands so that I could sit in a position that didn't hurt my back- not a big deal In my opinion. I wasn't switching back-and-forth between each nail. I was positioning myself when she was doing the beginning of the manicure, which was the cleaning and filing of each hand. When it got time to do the designs, I asked her if she can do the black design the way that it was in the photo which is to say the black French tips- some of them are curved, and some of them were pointed, and she did all of them pointed and very thin. This was after sitting in the chair for over two hours- she went to wipe all of the design off and I asked her not to do that. She said she didn't have time to do my designs and that I would have to leave with my nails plain. I told her that my time is valuable as well, and I had already sat there for two hours while she worked on a design that she obviously did not know how to do and from the looks of it did not make a very valiant effort. She said she can't copy the design 100%. I said I'm not asking for 100%. I'm just asking for the black French part to be a larger part of the nail as it is in the picture. I had to literally stop her from wiping everything off, and then she redid the tips which looked better than they did originally but still awful. The end of the manicure was tense. I did not appreciate that she did not respect my time and had me sitting there for over two hours and her resolution to it was to send me off with something that I did not ask for which was a plain manicure. I cut my losses and let her finish. She charged me $85 for this manicure which in my opinion she clearly overcharged. I will absolutely not be going back again. She is stressful to work with has an attitude and talks poorly about other people that have worked there. I don't mind paying extra for quality service, but this, like many nail salons, does not pass the vibe check after the first few appointments. If a person cannot do a design, then they should just say so not be annoyed with the customer because they have to do extra work. Charge me extra money if it's extra work, but I think it's reasonable to get what you're asking for when you go to get your nails done which is essentially a luxury service. The manicures I request are very intricate and I understand that but as a nail technician that is literally your job. If you can't do it, just say that you can't do it, but don't have someone sitting in your chair for over two hours only to attempt to send them home. I don't appreciate attitude and I don't appreciate my time being wasted. I also don't appreciate subpar results. I will continue looking for a better nail salon, where there is no attitude. The wax is cheap, but here's the kicker - THEY DOUBLE-DIP. When I sat up to look, she got a new stick, but when I looked after I was done, there were only two sticks. WTF... she also reused the same strip. The waxing was painful... PAINFUL. I've plucked my leg hair before and felt less pain. The bed broke while I was on it. It BROKE y'all. At around that time, I noticed that the wall was covered in hair that had obviously been pulled from other people's bodies. Ohhhhh and the lip threading was also spotty.
