Saw this company on Groupon but I had a slightly different need so I thought I would call them to see if it would apply. I was told that I didn't need to purchase the Groupon and they would honor price for a cleaning. The scheduling turnaround was quick (within a few days of my call) which I appreciated. Alex was a great communicator and messaged me 30 min in advance his ETA. The only two big issues I had were with the fact that he was maskless during his time inside the house. He was moving in and out and I kept thinking that at some point he would put a mask on but no, unfortunately that did not ever happen which was a big negative for me. The other issue I had is that I wasn't asked if I needed a "regular" steam water only cleaning or deep cleaning plus stains when I spoke to them first. When Alex arrived, he recommended deep cleaning which one room definitely needed. This doubled my price from $81 to $168. Had I known this from scheduling, I would have gone with my regular carpet cleaner and paid less. My advice for this company is to enforce COVID precautions and be more clear in prices before scheduling. The carpets themselves look great so satisfied with that part! Hope they can improve the cost estimates and COVID safety measures in the future! read more

We hired this company for a steam cleaning of our carpets and couch. My husband and I waited around for him and had to go back to work. When he finally showed up in a CAR my daughter was there to let him. He told her that the carpets needed a "deep cleaning", so with my husband's permission he proceeded. When I arrived back home I was surprised to see him with a big tank of water and a hose. He filled the tank up with my kitchen sink and dumped dirty water in the toilet. I am 100% sure he was "cleaning" my carpets and couch with dirty water. He left the carpets and couch soaking wet and puddles of water on my tile and hardwood. The couch smells horrible now and the carpets look terrible. Way worse than before he came. We have tried to contact them several times and he won't return our calls.. Now we are out over $500 and can't afford to hire someone else to come and fix this. DO NOT HIRE this scammer. 1 star only because it's required to post a review. Also, Thumbtack reviews are bogus, don't believe them. Even after signing up, I was unable to post a review there. read more

What local carpet cleaning company gets 30+ five star reviews every week on Thumbtack but all of its recent Yelp reviews are one star with customers saying it's "the worst company" they've worked with and accusing them of fraudulent business practices? The company has found a way to fabricate its reviews on Thumbtack. Think about it. They don't have any 4 star reviews, or 3, or 2. Only 1 star and 5 star. Real and fake. And what company with two employees is so popular that they are able to get 30 new 5 star reviews every week, but their schedule is so open that they're able to come to your home within 24 hours? The math doesn't work. The reputable cleaning companies with real reviews are booking people out a couple weeks in advance. Don't fall for their scam. Learn from my mistakes. On to my review... I just had to threaten to call the police to get their worker to leave my home. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. Before booking, Mike told me that it would be $130 to steam clean my couch. Sounded good. I made an appointment. This morning when the worker arrives to clean, he leaves his equipment in the car and comes to look at the couch. He says, "It's going to be $280." I told him that's more than double what I was quoted. He says, "It's because of the stairs. This is on the second floor." First no one told me that the price would double (or even change) depending on the floor. No one even asked what floor the couch was on when quoting me. Second, I only have 7 steps between the first floor and second floor. So you expect me to pay double the price for carrying the cleaner up 7 steps? I said, "I'm not paying that." He responds, "Ok, I'll do it for $250." I said no again. Then he went down to $220. At this point, I don't trust the company. It feels like he's just trying to price gouge me. So I said, "I don't want to work with his company anymore. This feels too sketchy. Please leave." Then he said, "Ok, I'll do it for $180 but you have to do a shampoo and not a basic cleaning." Again, I said, "No, I just want you to leave." He responded, "You have to give me a $50 service fee for coming to your home." To that I said, "Sir, I never agreed to that and I'm not paying you anything. Please leave." He tries to argue with me. And I again said, "Sir, you need to leave my home." He says, "not until you give me $50." I said, "I'm going to call the police if you don't leave." He says, "Fine, call the police." As I'm about to call the police, the worker calls his manager, Mike, and lies (by omission) to him--saying, "I told him that it'll be $180 for a shampoo and he won't pay (he doesn't mention that he started off saying that it would be $280 and that he refused to leave my home). After he got off the phone with Mike he said to me, "You need to pay me $40 for a service fee" (he reduced it by $10 this time). I said, "We can go back and forth for hours but in the end, I won't be paying you a dime. Please leave my home." He finally storms off. Mike calls me when his worker leaves and I tell him what happened. Mike says, "Ok, I'm going to talk to him and call you back." When Mike calls back he says, "I don't know what happened. He said everything went fine. I guess it's just a difference of opinion." Difference of opinion?! I explained to him that his worker was lying and that I had to threaten to call the police to get this man to leave my home. Mike was nonplussed the entire time, ultimately saying "I wasn't there so I don't know. I'll try to talk to him again but people have bad days sometime. Sorry about that." Bad days sometime?! WTF kind of response is that to someone who minutes ago had to threaten to call the police to get your employee to leave their home. Mike also lied and said, "nothing like this has ever happened before." Read all the other one star reviews here (i.e. the only ones that the company didn't write themselves) and you can see that my experience is fairly typical. Based on the other reviews, not only will you likely be dissatisfied with the results of their work, but based on my own experience I can tell you that just by allowing them into your home there's a chance you might feel unsafe. For your own sake, go elsewhere. read more

A pretty terrible experience all around. The worker was extremely rude and was all hopped up when he arrived. He was pacing around acting very unusual for an 8am appointment. He rushed and I felt uncomfortable asking him to redo a portion of my rug. I normally would be fine with a quick job but he left puddles of water all over the floor in the entry way and my other room from his machine. He also did not bother to clean or even even rinse the bathtub after dumping his dirty water from the machine in it. Finally his mask kept falling down leaving his nose exposed. Not COVID safe! Just purchased a home and once the staging was removed I could see the stains in the carpet that had been hidden by area rugs. Used a Groupon to hire Green Clean. Groupon was non-refundable so when the owner said I purchased the "wrong coupon" I was stuck. Cleaner came out on time and did a fantastic job. Carpet looked brand new and stains were gone. He offered an upgrade deep cleaning treatment for our high traffic areas but I felt the upcharge was affordable and agreed to the additional services. We went online to look for a chimney sweep since we had not used our fireplace in a while. I filled out a request for a recommendation from Home Advisor so when David of Green and Clean showed up at our door, we thought he was sent out by Home Advisor. He said he would be able to clean our chimney. Basically all he did was vacuum it out and run a brush through it and charged $325. Later when we went to use it, it smoked our house up. We don't have a damper so we knew it couldn't be that. We called Green and Clean and they said they would be out the next day between 8 and 10 am. They never showed up. We called them again and they said we had the wrong day and they would be out the next day. Again, we got up and waited for them. They never showed up. Subsequent calls were not answered and our fireplace still doesn't work. read more

I have never had such a horrible experience! I purchased a $125 Groupon. I moved out of my apartment that I had lived in for a short time, and wanted the carpet to be fresh. The carpet had been cleaned 10 months ago. I am 70 and there had not been much traffic in and out during the quarantine. Thus, the carpet was not very dirty. The guy argued with me intensely about needing to do a deep cleaning for an additional $250. I continued to request that he just honor the work promised by the Groupon. Finally he said, "so Madam, that's going to be about 15 minutes work with just water." I said that will be interesting to post on Yelp. He stormed out and that was the end of my carpet cleaning experience.....There is one star because I had to give one. read more

They did an excellent job cleaning our two rugs and living room carpet. He (didn't catch his name!) showed up on time, was efficient in setting up with his machine, and quickly cleaned all three areas. We had minimal stains in these areas, and he warned us that one of them may not come out since we opted to go with the organic cleaning solution. Most of them are gone though, and we are very happy that we decided to work with green clean services., The price that we discussed was the price that I ultimately paid.
