If I could give zero stars I would because this office deserves it. I'm writing in place of my sister who recently placed an order for new glasses for her daughter. Nothing to say about Dr Green but lots to say about the front end staff he employs. Rude, condescending and disrespectful doesn't even cover what my sister just experienced from the front end assistant or secretary or who ever she is. She is the face of this business and the one customers see and interact with. This lady should be reprimanded for her words and actions. If you can't be professional and kind to low income families then you're in the wrong city. To say that my sister should "come up with the money" for better quality eye glasses just because she noticed the glasses where a little loose is pretty darn disrespectful and not any of your business. Sorry Dr. Green but I will not let others in this community suffer what my sister just went through because of your poor staffing and judgment of character. Dr Green is a wonderful eye doctor. However, one of his back office staff members is certainly not as representative of Dr Green's caring nature. Their unwillingness to call and verify insurance coverage (which had already been verbally approved to them by the insurance company by phone 2 weeks prior) necessitated us having to go elsewhere for an eye exam. Such as shame as we had been a patient of Dr Green for a few years. read more

Dr. Green was very explanatory during his exam. He answered all of my questions without hesitation and elaborated on the things that I was unclear about. Once the exam was complete, my prescription was submitted and within the week I received the text that my glasses were in and I could pick them up. The only thing that I was disappointed with is that Medical will cover a very cheap case for your glasses and they will not cover a cleaning cloth to clean your glasses. OVERALL, I would definitely recommend Dr. Green for your eye care. read more

I discovered this optometry via yelp and I am glad I did because it is a gem. It is next to Walgreens but not in that plaza as it is a house turned into an office with on site parking or street parking. The ladies at the reception desk are beyond friendly and super nice and helpful. They are down to earth and very open. I waited for the doctor and he came and was very calm with a great and genuine Ora. He knows his stuff and he teaches you about your eyes in a fun way. He always has your best interest in mind and doesn't rely on high tech machines to do his job for him like at other offices. He actually is very well skilled and knowledgeable and catches things that many others have missed. Dr. Green also takes the time to explain everything that he's doing and tries to educate and inform you so you can make a well informed decision. I made an appt for my elderly loved one to be seen and although I already knew he is a complicated case, the staff and dr took their time (over 2 hrs) to explain in detail the eye exam findings. I'm sorry we put them behind on their schedule but honestly, Dr Green is worth waiting for. My husband and I were so impressed that we will both be seeing him next year for our annual eye exam. I came in this Saturday and there was a mixed up about the date of my appointment. The staff and the office were very accommodating and informed us that Dr. Green would be able to see as after the office closed at 12. I brought in my 4 1/2 year old over a pain that he has been having in his left eye. When we walked into the examination room, he began to make conversation with my son and started asking about his dinosaur that he brought with him. He wasn't being cooperative at first but Dr. Green powered through and continued to talk to him to get him comfortable. Before we knew it he had looked at his eyes (and the dinosaurs) and performed the required exams to check the health of his eyes. Although we found out that my son has very minor farsightedness and slight astigmatism, he informed me that glasses were not necessary. After the examination I was told that what he was experiencing was Blepharospasm. He took the time to explain what causes the spasm to occur and ways in which we can prevent them from happening. Needless to say I was told that this occurring is very common and that there wasn't anything to worry about unless the episodes increased in frequency and duration. His recommendation is to keep close eye on the site and if anything changes to come back. I left feeling reassured that what he's experiencing is not detrimental to eye health. I recently moved from Orange County to Los Angeles, and made the drive for the trust that my family has in his work. When I was eight or nine, my mother brought me to his office after bouncing from office to office and being told that there was nothing wrong with me. I had crossed eyed vision which was very painful and caused to have blurred and double vision for period of time. I couldn't control when or how it happened, but anytime I would go in for Dr's visit my eyes were fine. It wasn't until coming to Dr. Green's office that my problem was found. I was referred to a pediatric ophthalmologist who ended up performing the necessary procedure. If you are looking for a professional who cares about the heath of their patients and takes the time to explain and answer all of your questions, then look no further. read more
