We grabbed a few of their sample boxes and the gal checking us out even gave us a free bag of crushed bruttles to put on ice cream. If you're in Spokane this place is iconic and a must try! There are some days they aren't open so make sure you check before going.

They have lots of goodies to choose from - over 2 dozen varieties of salt water taffy, several caramels, variety gift boxes, and of course: the Bruttle. It's a soft peanut brittle that melts in your mouth. We were lucky she let us in because their other store was extremely busy and most of the shelves were empty. The lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the free samples of brittle were a great touch (and honestly what got me hooked right away). I ended up purchasing the cashew brittle, and wow--it was da bomb. Super unique texture: soft yet crunchy, and not crazy sticky to your teeth like most brittle. I also grabbed the classic peanut butter brittle, and it was just as impressive--rich, authentic peanut butter flavor without that overly chewy, annoying stickiness. Again, perfectly balanced between soft and crunchy. To top it off, I tried the little squares of brittle covered in chocolate... and they were unreal. Honestly better than a Butterfinger--like 100k times better. So goooooood! If you're anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret it.

We found Jean and John Linstrum with their booth of sweet caramels at this Faire, and I sampled the huckleberry variety, having not grown up in a state where huckleberries are a regular treat. It was delicious! We ended up buying several half pound bags in a variety of flavors and they were all outstanding. When we returned home, our house-sitter, our pet-sitter, my co-workers, and my parents all received some candy! It was such a nice treat that I emailed Moon Creek and asked about pricing to give out little variety bags. I figured I would give them as a way to draw in business for my side job as a mobile notary, and to thank my customers as well! A box of 50 variety bags arrived very soon after (the pricing worked out to $3 per bag, with 6 flavors in each bag): Butter rum caramel, espresso caramel, cherry caramel, pecan caramel, butter caramel and salt caramel. The apples are huge and the toppings/dipping, etc are thick!!! Quality wise these are up there with on Disney level and very few places do I place on that level. So fun!! Wish I lived close so I could give often as gifts and enjoy myself. Staff was friendly as well. I would have loved to indulge in some truffles too but was cautious not to over buy being on the road traveling and fearing the melting factor. Will return and will look forward to it!

He was the spoiled rotten, gluttonous kid who fell into the milk chocolate river in the factory, despite warnings of danger. Well, this is nothing less than one of the great forbidden love scenes of all time. I imagine I am a svelte girl version of Augustus and the river is Godiva Chocolate. I would so go for a dip. You can order chocolate shakes if they still have them around. Try the raspberry toffees or the chocolate drops with the sweetened salted almond truffles. Right amount of sugar too, this is not a sugar mill, otherwise no amount of mouthwash can erase the sticky sensation. Will not increase your dental insurance bills before the annual premium is due. Anything coated with tints of vanilla is super tasty. Once you pop those small pieces of handmade cacao, let everything swoon around your mouth. This will be enough to tame the most bad behaved of little children, think Jack Jack. Sometimes their custom orders will have new products based on the changes in different seasons. I know plenty of paparazzi members who would faint at the fragrant smell of so much chocolates. A toast to one of seven deadly sins. Some of the stuff is SOO DIVINE like Apollo's most finely created edible and most perfect primordial pebble! Or the cream of the crop of the many limestones used to create the traditional Calçada pavement haughtily constructed by the first tyrannical ruler who never had to possess the title of a member of a royal household (Mr. Marques do Pombal)! Who wouldn't envy the power to turn SOME objects into Godiva chocolates with the touch of one finger at this rate? It is jawbreaking how this place is smack in the heart of downtown Spokane, I rarely have to drive down to get here. Notice, most parking spaces in the area fill up and you would have to avoid getting dinged badly for attempting to perform the two minute absent driver running motor technique.

The service was great, the gentleman who served us; was friendly and knowledgable about ice cream and explained the process and Doyle's wonderfully. The ambiance of Doyle's is a classic old ice cream shop with lots of classic decorations all over the place. They have 1950's and older, Coca-Cola signs, collectable toys and figurines and Star Wars Toys all over the walls. Oh, they have a very nice little patio on the backside of the store! This was our first visit to Doyle's. My husband got a single scoop of mint chip ice cream. Originally, I was going to get a banana split but they were out of bananas. I decided to get a triple scoop: chocolate thunder, mint chip, strawberry ice cream. I was able to add 3 different toppings, whip cream and/or nuts. I got strawberry, chocolate and fudge. I thought strawberry, was fresh fruit strawberries. I thought the chocolate was chocolate chips. There is a little patio area, with tables and chairs behind the parlor. I was super disappointed by the ice cream I received. The sauces were overwhelming, disproportionate to the ice cream. The sauces were way too sweet. I couldn't even taste the ice cream. The ice cream was fair, not rich and creamy. I didn't finish even half the ice cream, not worth the sugar high and dry mouth. My husband said the ice cream was the same quality as the store's... but more expensive.
