I just dropped in to Bruttles Gourmet Candies. The location was near downtown Spokane. I tried a sample and it wasn't that good. The clerk looked like she was busy reading a book. I guess there was plenty of candy in the store. I just love candy anyway. So it was a really neat experience. read more

Bruttles Gourmet Candies absolutely deserves 5 stars--this place is a hidden gem. The shop itself is spotless and well-kept, which immediately gives you confidence in the quality of what you're about to enjoy. The lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the free samples of brittle were a great touch (and honestly what got me hooked right away). I ended up purchasing the cashew brittle, and wow--it was da bomb. Super unique texture: soft yet crunchy, and not crazy sticky to your teeth like most brittle. I also grabbed the classic peanut butter brittle, and it was just as impressive--rich, authentic peanut butter flavor without that overly chewy, annoying stickiness. Again, perfectly balanced between soft and crunchy. To top it off, I tried the little squares of brittle covered in chocolate... and they were unreal. Honestly better than a Butterfinger--like 100k times better. So goooooood! If you're anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret it. read more

Their candies are seriously addictive! The chocolate dipped bruttles are my fave! Melt in your mouth with a crispy, flaky, peanut butter flavor. Reminds me of a cross between a chic o stick and a butterfinger but a thousand times better!! Love the soft peanut brittle & the carmels too! read more

It gets expensive because you want to buy it all! Nice that they have a couple little samples. And they were very conscientious about answering my questions. My family members each enjoyed receiving their box! They immediately began munching with smiles! read more

I'd still like to try it. They were out of basically everything. But that's the holidays for you! It just be amazing

I've lived in Seattle for the last 10+ years but grew up in Spokane through high school. People ask me what Spokane has to offer and let me tell you...this place is one of them! It is absolutely unique to Spokane and a MUST! I have dreams of their melt in your mouth peanut brittle haha especially around the holidays. I also just tried their cashew brittle for the first time and it inspired me to write this lol SO GOOD! It only makes sense that such an incredible product would have a rich, interesting history as the original makers of this soft brittle. It started in the Davenport hotel by a woman named Sophia (please don't make me try to spell her last name..forgive me!). There's a whole story and article you can read with a quick google search but essentially they became a household name in Spokane. I personally think they grew bigger than themselves and deserved their own store front. Anyway, I rarely write reviews, maybe like two in my lifetime but this place deserves acknowledgement by anyone and everyone. Go there or be square! Also note to dairy free or vegan folks, my fiancé and I went vegan a while back and I almost cried hearing its VEGAN!!! How?!? So amazed and grateful! But for those carnivore and dairy loving people, don't let that deter you...remember I grew up on this shit and it's worth it. read more

The product here sells itself and it's awesome. Be prepared to empty a bit out of your wallet but it is worth it. They've got the recipe for the soft peanut brittle down and have for quite some time. They have other offerings as well with different variations of peanut brittle and several offerings of fudge. In fact, they have several offErings of low sugar fudge as well. The employees here are hit and miss as far as courtesy goes. On our visit the employee on duty didn't acknowledge us coming in as she was too interested in the activity on her phone. Once inside for a little bit she put it down and helped us out. As I said though, the product sells itself. Great for yourself or as a gift. read more

Went in their last week to pick up a gift for a friend and was greeted by the sweetest young woman. Each candy was like a little gift and well worth the price. They came in little boxes! Not a super expensive treat yet the quality of the truffles would say otherwise. Excellent quality! Try the salted caramel truffles. Also, stop on in and support a fundraiser for a little boy named Trevyn or Bubs. They have a facebook page, please take a look at Trevyn Nays facebook! The family needs help love and support, medical costs can drain a family's savings and you can make a difference in their lives. Stop on by Bruttles in downtown Spokane, you will not regret the calories eaten. read more

If you love brittles and toffee, you will love this place. They have a great selection of "bruttles" with different nuts, chocolate dipped or drizzled, individual pieces, or in a box. The best part? This spot is unique to Spokane so if you're trying to find something special to gift those out of state folks in your life-this would be great! read more

The main shop on Sprague in the Valley provides exceptional service consistently. They are service oriented, accommodating to the customer's needs, and makes you feel like your business is important. It's good to see this level of service in Spokane. read more

We had been wanting to try Bruttles candies for some time and finally had the opportunity to get a hold of some over the weekend. It was simply fantastic. My wife and I agreed that the flavors and textures of the candies were well developed and exceptionally good. Two regrets, however... one, we definitely should have kept the candy in the trunk of the car for the long ride home (devoured them). Second, we should have picked up some more while we had the chance. Will definitely have to order some online. Highly recommend that you pick some up and enjoy for yourself! read more

This place the original soft peanut brittle and it's the BEST! Be sure to stop by, they even give you samples.

It's a cute, quaint candy shop across from the Fox and Bing Crosby Theaters and the Davenport Hotel. A perfect place to buy local goods to bring home including soft peanut brittle, homemade caramels (love the salted caramel), and huckleberry items (jam, tea, candies). The owner is just as sweet as the candies, too! read more

The candies are amazing, always live a bit of fudge and a truffle. The soft caramels are some if the best hand made caramels. My kids love the salt water taffy. It is real old time stuff with a wonderful flavor. While I love the the peanut butter brittle, I am personally partial to the cashew brittle. Amazing stuff. But the real reason to go is the ice cream! They sell Brain Freeze Creamery ice cream here, normally carrying about 8 flavors. They normally have one of the flavors that contains their own candies like Vanilla Peanut Butter Bruttles or Carmel Cashew Crunch which has their caramels and cashew Bruttles. But all the flavors are amazing and about a buck cheaper than Ben and Jerry's and they are larger portions too. And the ice cream is so much better. So if you are down town or work down town, you got to go down here for a walk and get some during the summer. Skip the mall or Kendall Yards, this is a much better destination for a sweet tooth. read more

Soft peanut brittle....just when you think regular peanut brittle is awesome, try this stuff and your mind will be BLOWN. It's been a while since I've had it so I think an order is in my future. Amazingly soft, melt in your mouth flaky texture with massive peanut butter flavor. It's heaven and one of my top candies ever. Do not be fooled by the Davenport Hotel's version. This is the real deal authentic and amazing!!!! read more

If you're a candy person, this is a must try! I come here every time visit, they make nice gifts for people back home. It's just buttery goodness! read more

I would not recommend this company. Dealing with the customer service was extremely difficult. I was also sent confidential information about other orders they had processed. read more

After having lunch we saw this little candy shop and decided to give it a try. The inside is clean and very adorable. We ended up buying three different kinds of fudge and some caramels. I will say the caramels were amazing, and the sugar cookie fudge tasted just like a sugar cookie, which was so delicious. The cookies and creme fudge tastes like it may have been sitting there for awhile. Super dry; like really hard. But the main reason I gave two stars was the customer service. The girl working didn't say a word to us until we were paying and talked to her, and she was kind of rude. Customer service should always be first priority in a place like this and I feel like she failed miserably and just gave us a negative experience in the shop. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and doesn't treat everyone that comes in like that! read more

The soft peanut brittle were awesome but found the bruttles a bit too sweet and lacking in peanuty taste. The cashew brittle were very disappointing. The ones I got were hard and tasted old. Maybe i got one of the old ones or maybe I just dont know how it's supposed to taste. I wish they would come up with chocolate covered soft peanut brittle. That would be amazing! I would still go back though. read more

By far the very best peanut brittle I have ever tasted! Great flavor, texture, and good sized peanuts as well. Davenport Hotel has made their version of Bruttle's, but there is just no comparison. Davenport Hotel does not even use real chocolate in their soft peanut chocolate brittle! Chocolate flavored coating is the first ingredient- yucky. read more

A true gem hidden in Spokane. Their iconic candy is delicious and the shop is great little candy shop that locals overlook and visitors should stop by. My issues are not what they have but what they don't. A few years ago I stopped in to picked up some bruttles and also picked up caramels and some terrific marshmallow caramels. But I have never seen them since. This is my issue with it. 'Variety is the spice of life.' They needs more candy options with their with their iconic candy as the showcase. It would draw more people in because everyone loves a well rounded candy shop. Chocolate, gummy candy, etc. Just my thoughts. read more

This brittle was really good. Lots of options and not badly priced. It's all made really close to the area, too! The cashew butter brittle was actually my favorite. And try the original before anything chocolate covered! read more

For me, best value are the individual caramels, soft, not over-sweet, and not over-priced. I know that this is a high-end, fine craft chocolate and candy shop, but it would be nice to see some price variety. Good for gifting. read more

The candy is delicious however the service is terrible. We ordered candy to be delivered to my Step Mother in Law and she never received it. When we called they would never and the phone and I finally had to go out to the production store on Sprague and knock until they opened. They told us that had sick employees. I completely understand hard times would have been happy if they had just responded to our calls, or emails. To ignore us-and others customers, has made us find other opinions. We are super disappointed in the service. Wish it would have been different. read more

Great place to get treats for out of town guests, a unique Spokane find. A little pricey, but worth it.

Bruttles is the one place in downtown Spokane that I seek out every time I visit. My goodness, what delectable treats they offer! My favorites are the caramel stuffed marshmallow, the salted caramels, and the soft peanut brittle. My husband equally loves the saltwater taffy (and there is a huge selection). read more

Yummmmiiieeeeee. Love their soft peanut brittle and caramels. They also have quaint little gifts so it 's a place to window shop in addition to the candies. read more

Delicious, gooey chocolate cupcakes. Best cupcake I have had in Spokane.

I actually first heard about this place from a show on one of the Food channels...and then I was lucky enough to stay at the Lusso where they give you a sample bag of Peanut Bruttle on your pillow. The best ever...the flaky brittle makes them easy to eat and not feel like your gonna bust a tooth off trying. read more

Not only do we have one in Coeur d'alene but the famed Davenport that has been restored also has this sweet spot to enjoy. Spokane and Coeur d'alene is about 30 miles apart where as Spokane is a mid sized metro and downtown CDA is a very small town feel. To have this candy store bless both locations is great for us folks that enjoy our sweets. You can also walk through the beautifully restored land mark of a hotel and just enjoy the ambiance and history. read more

The Flakey peanut brittle is something to write home about. Very unique and wonderfully tasty.

There is no comparison between this product and the imitation brittle from the Davenport Hotel. After years of making this product, Bruttles know what they are doing. Add this to your bucket list. read more
