My husband an I are impressed with this company. The entire process from beginning to end was smooth. I called on a Tuesday morning to set up an appointment for an estimate. We were given an appointment that same evening, because he had another appointment in our area. The young man was nice and insightful, gave us ideas, and was helpful. He gave us an immediate estimate with zero pressure, and gave us his card, and said to call him if we needed anything. We called Wednesday to set up an appointment for installation. We were initially given an appointment for Tuesday the following week, but got a phone call on Thursday that they had a cancellation for Monday, so we took it. Monday morning when they arrived, they got started right away. They were professional during the entire installation. Making sure the outlets went exactly where I wanted them. Same with the fans. It is definitely an all day process, but they were done by 6:00pm. They cleaned everything up, swept, and picked up. There was no mess left behind. Just got our patio cover done. While it is done, and it looks great, it was a rocky road getting there. We used green bee based on multiple recommendations from neighbors that had great experiences, so I'm guessing they do a great job 2 out of 3 jobs ;) 2 neighbors had a flawless experience, and we definitely did not. So maybe you will get lucky! Started with the sales man quoting us a 2 tone patio cover which he quoted us an "extra" $75 for a ceiling fan installation. Then we received a flyer in the mail stating we could get a "free" fan installation if we booked now. I called to book, asked for the $75 to be removed, and now they said it was actually already deducted from the price of the patio itself and when the sales man "added" the "extra" it was actually free...... Next problem was they no longer had us written down for a 2 tone color scheme, and tried to make us feel responsible for the error. After arguing about it they finally changed it back and ordered us 2 colors. Finally the day of installation arrived, and they were supposed to be here at 8am. At 9:30am they called to say they were going to be late...when they were already an hour and a half late. They showed at 11am. When I called Luis about it he just said "oh yeah we are backed up". By this time I was really nervous and probably should have cancelled, but they were already here. During installation of the "free $75" ceiling fan, they blew a breaker that destroyed the fan and the breaker. They were going to do nothing about it. My husband had to go to Home Depot, replace the fan, and completely replace our electrical breaker. Overall just frustrating experience. My neighbors though literally had no issues and I guess got lucky. Every step of the process for us was negative. read more

We called Greenbee and left a message. 2 or 3 days later they finally called us back. That should have been our first sign. Luis came out and gave us an estimate in January 2014. He arrived on time and in a branded truck and wore a branded shirt (important, don't want some random people showing up). He came with brochures of different styles of patio covers and left me with a professional, written contract that was lower in price to four other bids I had received. Fast forward to July and I called him to get the job completed (we were finishing other parts of our backyard in the interim). Luis recalled the contract and honored the price. He was responsive via email and phone with my last minute changes and even answered questions early the day of via email. Green Bee was the best-priced of the quotes we received for a patio cover with two fans, two plugs, and one strip of lights and they were able to get the patio up quickly, which was awesome because we were on a tight schedule. When installed, they were super professional, and the finished product looked even better than we expected. Totally worth it! Our only minor complaint was that they used a blower to clean up after, but drilling into aluminum makes for a ton of little metal shavings, so we ended up vacuuming the shavings up. Alex and Johnny came out and replaced weather stripping deteriorated by the sun. Yet, Luis the owner lived up to his word and it only took one phone call. Great work done by the crew. But do to Covid it took 2 months from my appointment to the time they arrived to do the project. Also, if you get a permit it will take additional days for the job to actually be completed. I still have loose wires hanging because the project was completed Thursday, the inspector came Friday.
