Overall, good experience. Waiter was nice and attentive. Quick service and always had a full water cup. The menu had a lot to offer- Chinese, Thai, Japanese, etc. plenty of variety to choose from! I personally had the General Tso's Chicken and was satisfied. A bit more sauce than I normally prefer, but there was plenty of flavor and the chicken had a good crisp to it! I used the rice to offset the sauce. The drunken noodles were good too. The bite I tried off my partners plate had good flavor and a nice spicy kick to it. Called in a takeout order of the General Tso's lunch special with fried rice and pulled up ten minutes later to Sweet Basil next to the Kroger. Walked up and saw the door was locked. Congrats, I played myself. Looked at the number I called for the order and turns out it's GREEN Basil. I thought what the hell is that?! But that's alright, I drove the 12 minutes over. This was my first time here. The young man that served us was so pleasant and patient. He provided excellent service from start to finish. They have a pretty extensive menu, so it took a while to decide what we wanted. We opted for 2 large soups- egg drop and hot and sour and an order of shrimp egg foo young. The soups were $4.25 and the portion size was well worth it. We enjoyed the noodles that were served with the soup. The shrimp egg foo young were pretty good, too. The total cost of our meal was $24. My sister and I have been craving sushi for I don't know how long. We were so glad to find Green Basil on Grubhub. Left, Bagel Roll which includes smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber and avocado. Don't hate me. I have a 4 star because we ordered through Uber eats and so I can't give the full experience a 5 star if I haven't had the full experience. This was a simple order for me I got the Caterpillar roll because I was feeling pretty cream cheese avocado me ish that day! And I was not disappointed at all. I loved the freshness of this roll the eel sauce the shrimp tempura was even still crunch by the time it got to me which is the main point for me! I even loved the sauce that came with it. I would have to say that this was disappointing. We didn't find anything offensive. The restaurant does an incredible take out business. But for us, nothing tasted fresh. The egg rolls and soup were fine, but the general tso chicken was off putting. I would say it tasted like a jarred sauce. It was way too sweet, and had a strange flavor to it. General Tso's typically has a nice heat to it. This one was much more like an orange chicken sauce. The service was very good. The interior was set up like it clearly is a primarily take out restaurant. We were one of only two tables to dine in. Ambiance ---The person running the place has parent issues in a good way. They keep the restaurant area so clean! The cleanliness of this place was personal, consistent with top notch parenting. Food -- The menu though repetitive in some areas the variety is impressive. The food was fresh and quite flavorful. Service - What a gentle approach to service! It was welcoming and considerate. It was clear that we were having a date night. The server was kind and gave us space to enjoy ourselves while being so polite. This place doesn't look like much passing by, it's pretty dark and you can't see much through the window. It's located in a plaza next to Moe's. In my search for Snellville's best hole-in-the wall Thai spot, I decided to try them out. I ordered the spicy basil chicken for lunch which also came with the coconut soup. Service was pretty quick, and portion size was reasonable for under $8. The sauce was delicious, sweet and spicy. I was a bit nervous because it didn't look like enough sauce based on the portion, but it was just right. My only complaint was that there were way too many onions in this dish, I am an onion lover, don't get me wrong. But when there's more onions than protein, this poses a problem for me. The coconut soup was a bit sweet for my taste, but overall the flavor was there. I definitely come back to try more things on the menu, and maybe even their sushi. read more

You can enter the 'lobby' of restaurant and order however they have used safety precautions and put up plexiglass to protect them from customers up at the front. I was cravvinnng Asian food and this place is so close to home, so I was super excited. I've eaten from here before but only ordered crab rangoons. This time, I ordered beef lo mein and I wasn't impressed. There really was no flavor unless I doused it in soy and hot sauce. I really hate having to do that with any meal. I wasn't a huge fan of the beef that was used either. It was quite soggy and it seemed that most of the pieces were fat. I tried the General Tso's chicken with fried rice for the first time today. The rice portion seemed smaller than the white rice portion that I had the last time I was here. It was ok, but could use some more seasoning. The General Tso's Chicken was ok as well. Still have half a container of the chicken left, but no more rice. We ordered the pupu platter was just okay a tad bit greasy. We had Mongolian beef and Shrimp Pad Thai which I love but my hubby had never had. I really wanted to like the food because the lady was so nice but the Pad Thai was terrible, bland, noodles stuck together and no peanuts or scallions or bean sprouts on top which is how it is typically served at least in my experience which is limited by my own admission.
