I'm 62 and have never written a review. Never! Why, because I've never been totally satisfied with any job any business or contractor has ever done for me. There was always that little something that made me unhappy. That one little thing that made me shake my head in disappointment. Then I had my first contact with a company named Green Air. It was contracted by the builder of my new home to install its HVAC system. The installation was professionally, excellently and perfectly done. Over the last two years I've had a few questions about the system. Each and every time I contacted Green Air my questions were handled just like the installation: courteously, professionally, friendly and completely. I can honestly say I've never before been treated by any company the way I have been by Green Air. It's actually hard to believe. But, it's true. If you ever have the need for any of the services offered by Green Air, look no further for a company to perform them. I give the company and its personnel the highest recommendation possible. We began using Green Air about 8 years ago. We had a geothermal system at our previous home and found that not every company is familiar with this type of heating and cooling system. After one of the hurricanes (can't remember which one) our basement was flooded to a depth of about 2 feet and we were really afraid we would have to end up replacing the unit. We called and asked their advice and were told to simply let it dry out and they would come check it out before we turned it on again. Although there was a bit of electrical wiring damage, the technition explained that our unit had several "backup" safety features and he only had to replace a wire or two to ensure it would continue to run as before. What a relief! I am certain their honesty saved us thousands of dollars! I have always found them to be courteous, arrive when they were expected to and to clearly explain what needed done. We have been a loyal Green Air customer for the past nine years! Joey and Bryan are usually the technicians that service our home and they are always punctual with the quality of their work being top notch. What spurred me to write this review was how impressed my husband and I were with their sales and estimating team. We are getting ready to build a new house and ultimately decided on a geothermal system because of the effectiveness and long term cost savings such a system provides. However in making our final decision we had a slew of questions on the ends and outs and benefits/disadvantages and Matt Lee was always willing and able to knowledgeably answer those questions. What we liked most was that we never felt pressured into choosing the more expensive route of geothermal, but that Green Air genuinely wanted us to have the tools and understanding to make the best decision for our budget whatever the end outcome may be. We have been loyal Green Air customers for almost 10 years and I can't sing their praises enough. I recommend them to all of our friends and neighbors. We initially called them when we first bought our house to service the existing HVAC unit. Since then, they have installed a new unit, updated the duct work in our house, and dealt with a number of service issues we have had. They have been professional, prompt, courteous, attentive, and trustworthy in all of our interactions, from scheduling appointments with Felicia, making payment arrangements with Jessica, and servicing our system (in fact, the service guys have often arrived early - which is a rarity in this business!). I have a service contract with Green Air and they have serviced my properties very well. That said, I didn't have any issues until today. My neighbor business was complaining that my ac condenser was leaking onto their roof. Although it was a miniscule amount of water, I called Green Air to relocate the tube that carries condensation out. They were at my property within a half hour. Lynn, the technician, listened to my plight and thought about the easier and most cost effective way to eliminate the problem. He knew what to do and how to do it! It's Saturday and we wakes up to a cold house. Green Air's weekend on call guys showed up with a smile and got right to work. It didn't take them long to sort out the problem and get it fixed. In the process they put new batteries in the control panel, re-programmed it and cleaned out a wasp net from the vent pipe. The house is now warm again and we're thankful to be on their maintenance program. We can't say enough good things about Green Air and the entire staff. Joey Smith with Green Air had my air-conditioning issue diagnosed in less than 10 minutes after looking at my unit. Joey is professional, knowledgeable, and possesses excellent skills in diagnosing problems. Once Joey Smith found the problem was the TXV, Green Air ordered the part. Mike and Rashawn came out and worked in the pouring down rain to install the TXV and made some other adjustments and the unit is cooling perfectly. Green Air is the best HVAC company in the Richmond region. They converted my old oil furnace over to a Trane electric heat pump with a brand new air handler and all new duct work about 3 years ago for an extremely reasonable price (I received quotes from 8 other service providers). Not only was the initial HVAC conversion and installation top notch, but their service technicians are fabulous to work with during my routine spring/fall maintenance check ups. Our upstairs AC unit stopped cooling amid 2019's hot August weather. Read the reviews of all the "Big" HVAC firms and was not impressed with any. Green Air's were excellent, and I can add mine to the list. Lynn and Richard called ahead as requested, arrived on time (a little early actually) and diagnosed the problem and corrected it in about 90 minutes. As is life, on the hottest day of the year, my home AC system decided to stop working. I made one call to Green Air and they had a technician at my house that same afternoon.
