Dining at Greca is like being in your Greek uncle's cozy bachelor pad minus the cigarettes and worry beads. Our servers were as warm and inviting as their delicious take on mulled wine - Oinomelo. The selection of spreads and the welcome platter of figs, fruits, and cheese were a perfect meze for two, but you'll need to order more than the 4 pita triangles they come with to enjoy all the dips. The rest of the mezedakia that we ordered were spaced out to give us time to rest and digest. The grilled octopus with blita is a must! And if there's room for dessert, get their olive cake. Food was good and our waiter Aidan is one of the kindest I've come across which made the ambience feel even nicer. While a few tables filled from the time we arrived until we left, it was still pretty intimate. We were able to sit in the cafe section and be on our laptop for a few hours on the weekend which can be hard to come by nowadays. Strong wifi, comfortable setting and great music! Didn't realizd it was a cafe inside the The Greek. They have a lot of authentic greek items which are all made fresh. Try the bougatsa which is always hard to find in the usa. Floating lights, vibrant ribbons, done up Christmas tree... everything was beautifully placed. The staff was clearly trained. They knew everything about the menu and were clearly attentive to their customers. The food was great! We shared the lamb chops which were amazing. Me having picked the place was especially glad to hear my two non-foodie friends saying "I saved this restaurant and I never do that" "best brownie I've had" etc. They also had the ouzo which was smooth and nice. I had the Greek coffee which was good too. Food wise, my personal favorite were the Santorini salad (amazing dressing and mix of veggies), portobello gyro and Ikaria bowl. All were packed with variety of flavors. I do wish the Ikaria bowl could have more veggies though. The warm manouri cheese was popular among us and my husband's favorite. I loved the tahini brownie with strong halva flavor. Just wish they make dessert without refined sugar. Service was fast and super friendly. Environment was relaxed and cozy. If you are looking for a place to host an event in Manhattan, look no further than GRECA! We had our wedding at GRECA in June, and I cannot recommend this spot highly enough! The vibe was absolutely perfect, and we are still getting compliments from our guests about the food & drinks! From the beginning, Tom & his crew did a wonderful job of helping us to envision the space and the flow of the event. They worked with us to co-create the perfect evening, complete with a customized menu and schedule. They set the room up exactly the way we wanted it, making sure the space would be able to accommodate the needs of our party (we had approximately 100 people). On the day of, everything ran smoothly, everyone had an amazing time, and the staff was extremely helpful in addressing any/all concerns that popped up. GRECA comes equipped with a DJ booth, a microphone, and audio-visual equipment to support a customized photo slideshow. GRECA's location in Tribeca near the water also makes it an ideal place to take photos before the main event. My wife and I came here for lunch. The forks were dirty and the water cups had things floating in them. Overall the meal was okay, we got two salads, one with chicken and some chips and guac. The chips and guac were quite basic and very average, the salads slightly better. The service was fine. The entire time we sat next to trashy 15 year old girls who spent the entire meal face timing with their boyfriends and talking about whether "just the tip" "counts" and how drunk they got last night. I wouldn't have written a review, but when I saw the bill came out to $68, that was just too much not to post on yelp about it. read more

Greca is a much needed cafe/bar/restaurant in this area. They are open almost all day and night and have a wide range of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods plus great coffees, teas, wines and beers. I've ordered mostly soups, salads and grain bowls but have always been very satisfied with my meals. There is tons of seating inside. They have tables of different sizes plus couches and comfy seating and some larger communal tables. I've felt comfortable hanging here alone to work and also with groups for lunch or dinner. The only disappointment I have with this restaurant is that they don't deliver. I've been told by staff they are working to get delivery services and I hope that's coming soon :) read more

Yes!!! Another adorable chic spot in TriBeCa! I LOVE the location of this place. The decor is stunning and the whole vibe is just I only ordered coffee but it was great! Very strong which is how I like it. Also they have different milk options for all us non-dairy enthusiasts. The pastries looked amazing so I will definitely need to come back and try them.
