This was my first time visiting 7 Brew on Saturday. I stopped by to try the coffee while my…read moredaughter was at cheer at ASR. The line was short, and I had no idea what I wanted, but the person taking my order offered a few great suggestions. I ended up choosing the Brunette hot. When I pulled up to the window, my drink was not ready yet, but Alma immediately engaged me in conversation while I waited. We talked coffee, her favorite 7 Brew drinks, matcha, and even how it was Swag Day at another location in Texas City and how the shirts are so cute. She was so warm and genuine that I completely forgot there was a wait. I truly appreciated stepping out of the hustle and bustle for a moment and just connecting with someone. Alma's energy, passion, and ability to make customers feel welcomed will absolutely bring me back. I do not live in the area, but anytime I am taking my daughter to cheer and need a pick me up, I will be stopping at 7 Brew all because of Alma.

Immediately, we were hit with the chaos of an absolutely massive line wrapped around a tiny parking lot. For how cramped the area is, getting a spot felt like a competitive sport. At least the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was fun, and to their credit the line moved faster than I expected. I ordered the Pink Mermaid smoothie from their secret menu, which is supposed to be a strawberry smoothie with watermelon and coconut syrup. In reality, it just tasted like an extremely average strawberry smoothie. There was no hint of coconut or watermelon whatsoever. For a "secret menu" item with such a cute name, it was honestly disappointing and nothing I'd ever order again. Overall, the place has great vibes and clearly draws a crowd, but based on what I tried, the drinks don't quite live up to the hype. I'd only come back if I was already nearby and curious to taste something different.

I love coming to this apothecary for pungent seasoning and spices. They sell everything in giant…read moremason jars, so you know what you're picking out. They even sell bulk items such as nuts, flour, nutritional yeast, dried fruit, natural detergent, oils, loose-leaf teas, etc. Some are made in-house, including vegan hot chocolate mix. I like getting my seasonings and spices here, opposed to the grocery store, because it is very fresh and hasn't been sitting out for years upon years on end. There aren't a lot of raw vegan restaurants down south of 45, but surprise, surprise, Natural Living has raw vegan onsite. I've only eaten there twice, and due to the limited hours throughout the week. I am only able to get down here on the weekends in the morning. I frequent Nokturne more as a vegan restaurant in CL, just due to the simple fact of the flexibility of hours. At Natural Living, I ordered the taco salad; it was vegan meat crumbles and veggies. There were more veggies than meat. A limited amount of dressing to lather the veggies, so it made the salad a bit dry, but tasty. I loved the peanut butter cookies on sale. They were my favorite. I love that they have a food fair program for organic fruits/vegetables from local gardeners. I'm not a big fan of organic anything as I feel that it is more of a marketing gimmick, but if others care about that, that's a perk. The program is very affordable. I've personally never tried it, but I always wanted to. The ambiance can be a bit off; the staff is sometimes nice, sometimes don't want to be bothered. The apothecary side of things system is just grab jars of what you want, and they weigh it, put it in baggies, and you pay for it. However, things can get complicated when there a multiple people on the apothecary side and there is nowhere to wait since the whole building is tight and small. Now the pricing; this establishment isn't the cheapest, but when you factor in the value of what you are purchasing with the quantity of goods, then you are getting a solid deal. They sell crystal jewelry, and parking is across the street. I always tell people I'm going to the apothecary, and when they Google it, they can't find it, so it is definitely a hidden gem. I would have given them 5 stars across the board, but with the very limited hours not good for the working class working between 8 am - 5 pm; they close at 6 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays. I hate that, but I will continue to only come on Saturdays.

The membership gives you access to their weekly food shares of fruits and vegetables you may not otherwise have access to, and they offer herbal shares as well. Lisa, the owner, is sweet and welcoming. She's been helpful in getting me acclimated to how everything works. The more I go, the more I learn. She's an herbalist and offers consultations as well. And even though it can be busy during the food shares pickup hours, she always makes time to engage. The whole staff has been warm and welcoming and it's to no surprise. The atmosphere is serene. There's a sense of peace that comes over me when I walk in. Me and my husband enjoy sitting down for a bite to eat from the organic cafe. The food is amazing. It's all handcrafted, with high-quality organic ingredients. It's gluten free and made from scratch. If you can't stay and eat you can call in your order to-go. Also, with the membership you get discounts on bulk items and certain events. You can lend a hand and volunteer as well. It feels like you're walking into a family home that its main goal is to assist you in your health and healing journey. It's a complete mind, body, and heart experience. I'm happy to be part of the family.
