I finally had Smoothie King again since last month when I was in Flint! We don't have it in California, so I was introduced to it here in Texas. I always get the Strawberry Hulk, and it's so good! I still need to try some of their other flavors. We came right when they opened before heading to Austin, and the staff greeted us with a smile and lots of cheer. Today I'm not sure only my second time smoothie was OK but the toast is where I'm not used to this location. The location I'm used to in Texas City. They give you a good amount of fruit and when I say a good amount is not one level at least level two when it comes to fruit when you're able to see more of the bread and peanut butter versus fruit and honey that's where the line is drawn I won't buy another one there and they didn't give me any napkins plus the lady asked me after spending almost $20 bottle or cup water. Haven't been back in the evening time due to bad experiences with the night staff. During the day they're mostly kind and get the order right. Sometimes it's hit or miss if they get any substitutions or add ons right. For long lines they get through them quickly. read more

I've consistently come to this location while I'm in town for work, because it's the closest to my job. 99% of the time I made an online order it was waiting for me, only once I went in and I had to wait a few minutes. There was an apology for the wait, that day it seemed as if they were understaffed. One bad experience with over 20 good ones is a win in my book. It's located in a shopping plaza next to a pokeworks, it's pretty small inside compared to another smoothie king in Webster. This would be more of a grab and go place instead of a sit and enjoy your smoothie here. The drive through line is pretty efficient, I have not seen a line more than 2 cars since I've come. Smoothie King on Bay Area Blvd is the most convenient location for me since its so close to the new Life Time Athletic Baybrook that opened up. This specific location, is the perfect place to get a post workout protein smoothie. My go to order is always a strawberry slim n trim! Packed full of protein and other great nutrients, smoothies are a great way to get your daily fruits/vegetables in. The strawberry flavor is very apparent so feel free to add other add ins like spinach or added fiber/energy boosts, yet its never overly sweet. My only complaint here though is that whenever this smoothie king gets crowded, they sometimes rush through making the drinks, and they aren't blended enough. I've had big chunks of ice in my cup before whenever they are in a rush, when its supposed to be silky smooth and creamy. Otherwise everything is normally great here! Pro tip: Get the smoothie king app to start earning rewards points asap! The app gives you lots of discounts frequently. I ordered my usual which was a gladiator coffee, usually it's creamy and has a yummy coffee flavor. When I got it there were chunks of ice In it so I couldn't even drink it through the straw bc the ice kept getting stuck. The whole consistency was off and it had a leftover coffee taste. I'm a fan! It was my first time in yesterday and though the parking lots were full (Sat in Dec, I knew I was taking my chances), there was only one customer inside. The service was friendly and speedy. I got the Angel Food Slim and it was exactly what I needed. I wasn't feeling great and that helped zip me right back up to normalcy. I ordered the usual a strawberry hulk which has pecans , when I got my drink it was very loose as if someone new had made the drink smoothies are supposed to be close to thick at least in my opinion. So I came back for them to remake it. The manger was nice & remade it. I got my drink & was headed back to work , while I was drinking my drink I felt something hard in my mouth nh (NoHomo) I almost bit into it but felt something was off & when I pulled it out I seen some type of metal screw piece that looks to be a part of the blender. Well today I watched the making of our smoothies and as much as I love to support any SK because they are a South Louisiana company I'm sadden to see the only real fruit was Banana everything else was a squirt of some syrup or scoop of powder and ice my kale and spinach were crumbled frozen bits using a tiny tiny scooper I was disappointed because each extra item I paid $0.99 for it. I want SK to offer smoothies like Robeks and or Juice it Up who prepare your smoothies with the same ingredients All Fresh Fruit and Veggie as used for their juices, you can make any juice a smoothie or create your own or get a most favorite one at least you dont see a row of powders and squirt bottles :-( Yall dont understand my level of hurt right now, I need to send an email to SK Corporation because I need them to do better!! One word-- WOW! I was craving the pure recharge mango strawberry smoothie the other day so I swung by this place. The drive thru line was a mile long so I decided to go inside; so glad I did. Firstly, the smoothies are easily made any location you visit. It's hard to mess up. I'd give 5 stars if it was just about the drinks. But it's not, the customer service is terrible. It's a bunch of teenagers that know nothing about the ingredients. LITERALLY, every time I go to this location. The kid behind the counter will stand there, no acknowledgement, no greeting. My first visit was met with an extremely unprofessional staff who appeared to be laughing hysterically with one another while I waited for my order at the drive through window. I guess the distraction was enough for them to have obviously missed key ingredients as our smoothie was completely tasteless. This led to us having to throw away $20 worth of smoothies. I decided to give this location another try today. I ordered two yogurt smoothies and watched as the employee behind the counter was text messaging while making my smoothies. First timer. The smoothies were fine, but the service is not up to the standard I was expecting or taught when I was in service so the experience was not one I will repeat. I was in the drive through, had 3 other people with me and thought I might take 1 smoothie home for my spouse - so would have 5 orders total. I briefly explained to the employee who came on the speaker that I needed a couple minutes to look at the menu. I didn't get it and was rushed through, "anything else?" Repeatedly and then, "Is that all?" I didn't order the one to take home. We had 1 change because someone in the car decided to go with a 32 oz rather than a 20 oz. The person taking the order said they got it but when we got to the window and that person there repeated the order back, the change hadn't been made, so then it was. I was still ok with the transaction but then the service worker gave me a receipt to sign without the itemized portion so I had no idea if I was being charged correctly, so I ask for the receipt and she says, "What?" So I explain and she says, "Oh, yeah, I forgot, let me get it" She brings it and I'm still holding the other one so she clarified that I needed to sign that one and handed me a pencil. Now, the whole transaction just became so odd to me. Who signs anything business related with pencil? So I ask, "Do you have a pen?" I've been going to this location plenty of times because it is convenient to grab a snack on my way to work, but I have to say that its speed of service on the drive thru and in person is very slow. Not only that, the accuracy of the orders placed on drive thru really needs improvement. One time, after waiting 15 min on drive thru I was told that they made a mistake on my order and if I could turn around and walk in the store to resolve the issue. The fact that I'm choosing not to go inside is because I expect a fast service with the commodity of staying in my vehicle. If employees are trained a little bit better to work on the service speed and accuracy, this place would be phenomenal.
