I went in thinking I could grab a quick drink but boy was I mistaken. There was only one person behind the counter he looked overwhelmed. Apparently he had taken several orders and finally went to start making them. The people that had already ordered looked so annoyed. Then an employee walked in and disappeared. Then one woman walked up and started demanding a refund which the employee told her he needed a manager to do it and none were there. It became kinda chaotic. Then another person walked in who was the manager and the other employee appeared apologizing. It became a catch up session with the drinks not being up to par and people demanding they be remade. It took forever for me to finally put my order in and get my drinks. Honestly I wasn't expecting to have to eat a grainy drink but I was now running late and didn't want to go back into that chaos. The drinks were nothing like ones I had purchased at other locations. They had about one teaspoon of hard brown boba. When I took the drinks back, the mgr. said they were 'out' of the pistachio cream, so the employee just didn't put any in my drink and gave it to me anyway. You should never just leave main ingredient of a drink out, charge people money for a product, and then just give them whatever you feel like. read more

What happened to this place?! A couple of years ago this was my go to spot. friends I used to gather here for boba runs and at some point I would say we were addicted to their stuff. Came in tonight for the first time in years and was let down. Came in at 9:20 the establishment closes at 10pm. Plenty of time to make decent drinks. Order a large milk tea with egg pudding and a fruit smoothie with popping boba. The milk tea tastes nothing like it used to. Tasted off, possible tasted as if it gone bad? The fruit smoothie was ok. I was in the area doing a little shopping and was craving something cold to combat the Texas heat. This area does not have a shortage of boba spots so I went with the tried and true Kung Fu. The location is in a busy strip center. The establishment itself was empty when I walked in. Customer service was ok. The employee was just there to do her job, nothing extra. I went with the White Grape Punch as it is and added lychee gel. I was in and out and in my car in no time. I was on the road when I took my first sip and something about it was very off putting. The drink was pretty bitter. I'm guessing the grapes just weren't sweet and the skin of the grapes definitely did not help. Maybe straining the fruit might've helped. I took this drink as a loss but still drank it as it wasn't completely horrible. I won't write this place off, but I'll check out the other spots around here first before I come back. read more

I asked for two winter melon Milk tea. The kid argue saying I asked for green tea. I drink boba every week from different places and my go to drink is ALWAYS winter melon MILK tea. Every time I come to this location, they make my drink taste like dirty sink water. I don't understand. Other kung fu tea locations are delicious. But this one always fails to impress me. The boba is so mid and the drinks taste like unsweetened, dirty water. I need to remind myself not to come back bc it's a waste of money. My big sister also ordered a mango slush but literally an inch was missing from the top. How? Idk. It's not even light ice bruh. It's a slushie. My family and I came here to end our week long vacation on a sweet note, but ended up receiving the ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced in my entire life. We showed up when there was only ONE person in the shop, and they were on their laptop. The guy at the register was sitting and messing with his phone when we walked in. There was one other young lady working as well, but we were quickly very uncomfortable as they proceeded to snicker and giggle while right in front of us. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I thought perhaps it was innocent laughter. I continued to ask my family what they would like, and my eight year old son looked at the advertised slush on the front window to the establishment. As we asked questions about the drinks, the guy seemed so annoyed and as if he didn't even want to be there. When my son asked him for his choice, the guy said, "..we don't have the stuff for that". No apology, not even a sincere response. We struggled to find anything available, and when I directed questions to the guy behind the register, he would respond sarcastically and in a form of making us feel "dumb". My patience continued to thin, and I was making every effort to resolve the tension and bad service by being friendly, but he would not let up. The girl behind the counter then seemed to notice I was getting upset and would try to intervene by actually giving us answers to our questions, but it was not enough. This guy made faces, stared at us annoyed, and kept making the RUDEST responses, even though several miscommunication issues were due to him being indifferent and acting as though we were a nuisance. Finally, I abruptly told my family we needed to leave, and we walked out of the establishment with nothing. I was so upset at the fact the guy behind the counter could be so rude and inconsiderate, even with a child present. How this location is even open at this point is beyond me, as I've read many reviews talking similarly about the terrible service. Maybe they just don't care and will be closing soon. Insane. I did walk back and confront the guy at the register, and I told him, "I was just trying to enjoy some beverages with my family, you had no reason to be so rude!". He looked up and quickly looked back down at the register screen, avoiding eye contact, and the girl seemed to be telling him something in a worried manner. Waited for them to open after eye appointment next door. They opened late and weren't really ready for people to be ordering. It was our first time here, the music was WAY too loud, couldn't hear anyone. They did turn it down after we had ordered. We will definitely be in here several more times to see how things are going. Probably 4 stars after the first visit, but 5 after the next couple of tries. I didn't smell any cow poop while in here. Otherwise it'd be Dung Fu Tea. We heard from the Kung Fu tea down in San Antonio that they have the same ownership group as the one in Katy (but possibly not anymore) and as the San Antonio one (by La Cantera) - which we love - which is pretty awesome. I hope that's true. I don't like Red Bean, but I'm more ambivalent towards Mungbean Fu Tea. Cha Boba is still King of Bubble Tea in the SE Burbs... and HOU in general... and TX overall... and the whole USA... but to have a great KFT down Webster way just makes us go this way twice as often. I came here not too long ago on impulse and my spontaneity was rewarded with a nice almond milk tea with boba beads. I got a small just to see what I was working with. Ice cold. Nourishing. New boba joint that just opened up in Clear Lake a few weeks ago! There is so much hype around Kung Fu we had to give this location a chance. Ordered a medium Mango green tea without boba. It was so diluted, it tasted like water :( Additionally, the prices are so high for your average bubble tea place. Boba & sinkers cost extra, and from the 2 sizes -- Medium & Large, the large would be considered a normal boba cup. That means the average drink is $5+! I'm not impressed with what I've tried so far. But there is such a shortage of boba places in the area, this is better than nothing. The location is pretty small w/ only 4-5 tables & a couch. Interior decor is pretty simple. More of a quick hangout/grab-and-go place than a study spot. read more

I had walked into the store and the two guy employees working there looked at us with an annoyed face and did not greet us. They did not try to even speak to us when trying to order. This location is tucked away in the corner of a strip center, I've driven buy a few times and never knew it was there. I was shocked to see it pop up in a Yelp search. I've visited twice and gotten great drinks both times. The Taro smoothie is a home run. Had very different customer service experiences with the two visits. It's basic and the lady that made our tea seemed annoyed or like she hated her job or something. It was our first time there and had questions about the menu and she wasn't helpful at all, just rushing us along. We asked her if we could mix a coconut milk tea and a taro milk tea together as many other places offer this combination and she bluntly said no. So happy there is finally a Kung Fu Tea in clear lake! The other tapioca places in the area are somewhat lacking, but this KFT location is great. The staff is new, but they are learning quickly. The drinks are well made and the tapioca is consistently the right texture. My only current complaint is that since this location is new, there is still a little room for improvement, but I'm sure they will smooth out all the details very soon. The restrooms are clean, parking is adequate, and the store feels very inviting. My favorite drinks are the taro milk tea, passion fruit green tea, winter melon milk tea, thai milk tea, and the strawberry lemonade. All their drinks are customizable as far hot/cold, toppings, sugar level, and ice level. I highly recommend this KFT location to others, and I'm excited to come here again very soon. read more

So having lived in this area for most of my life I was really excited that Kung Fu tea was opening down here. First of all, I have to say that the tea quality, although not as good as the KFT in Chinatown, is decent for this area except that it's always too sweet for me. The only reason that I did not give it a higher rating is because the tables there are not very comfortable and so I'm not able to study there. However, the times I have been there the employees were nice and the drinks have always been good so far. Yes KFT is a little pricier than most tea places, but that's just a chain thing. Overall, if you're craving some boba in this area this is a decent place to go, because it's just like any other KFT. read more

Kung fu tea is a little bit pricier than other tapioca places I regularly go to. I noticed because the regular size I bought with tapioca was $5.14. In other places that's a price for their one size cup which is kft's large cup. Anyways. KFT's milk teas are good. I always get the wintermelon milk tea or the oreo one. Also I've tried the plain wintermelon tea and it was good too. So far, I've been to their downtown location, bellaire location and the one in pearland and I've loved all my visits except in this location. I bought the oreo milktea and my friends bought their regualr orders. We all noticed that the way they mix their drinks here are blander than the other locations. Also, my friend's oreo milktea barely had oreo while mine had a lot-which was great in my part but I felt bad for my friend. read more
