Kung fu tea is a little bit pricier than other tapioca places I regularly go to. I noticed because the regular size I bought with tapioca was $5.14. In other places that's a price for their one size cup which is kft's large cup. Anyways. KFT's milk teas are good. I always get the wintermelon milk tea or the oreo one. Also I've tried the plain wintermelon tea and it was good too. So far, I've been to their downtown location, bellaire location and the one in pearland and I've loved all my visits except in this location. I bought the oreo milktea and my friends bought their regualr orders. We all noticed that the way they mix their drinks here are blander than the other locations. Also, my friend's oreo milktea barely had oreo while mine had a lot-which was great in my part but I felt bad for my friend. read more

Now if we could just get the other popular chains in Bellaire to follow KFT's example and open a location here as well..... sighhh. Let's try and keep this short and sweet. Tea recommendations: - Regular Kung Fu milk tea? Solid staple. Nice and creamy, none of that watered down BS elsewhere. - Want "stronger" milk tea? Oolong milk tea (get it less sweet) is my personal fave, slightly stronger "tea" taste. - Not in the mood for milk tea? Passion fruit green tea with mango jelly. Get this less sweet or even half sweet. - Feeling adventurous? Thai milk tea (definitely get it half sweet). Non tea drinks: I haven't tried anything else at this location yet, but I've had some of their yogurt drinks at other KFT locations and the yogurt orange is amazinggg! Can't speak to the slushes or coffees as I don't order those. Pick your drink of choice, get it regular or large, customize sweetness or add boba/jelly/pudding if you like, shake, enjoy! Price wise, KFT is a little more expensive compared to other milktea places, but not so much as to be unreasonable. This KFT is conveniently located in a plaza with ample parking (shared, of course, with other businesses there) and with additional spots in the back that I've never had to use. There's currently some annoying construction on Bay Area right by the entrance to this plaza, so watch out for that when you're heading here! Service has been good every time I've gone - not too long of a wait for your drink to be made. Their grand opening weekend was an exception as, understandably, there was a mad rush of people and service was (again, understandably) slower then. While I prefer the creamier version of Kung Fu's milk tea than most places, they really need to be consistent. I've had great drinks and customer service one day then comes back with undercooked boba and lukewarm service the next. I'm sure they'll be fine for now while Clear Lake is still at a deficit of boba places but their competitor Gong Cha just opened down the street and I've caught myself driving past them a few times to Gong Cha now that I don't have to deal with unexpected al dente bobas. read more

So very sad because I love KFT, but this location has made nothing but disappointing drinks time after time. My last draw is boba undercooked. The last two times I ordered the wow cream, by the time I paid for the large size and add on, my drink was $7.60. For almost eight bucks and I got undecooked boba. I think they wanted the chewy texture but that was by far not chewy, just tough, hard, and doughy is NOT the same as chewy. I will never come back to this location. Very disappointing because I live in CL, I was hoping this would be good so I don't have to drive so far for another KFT location. So many of my friends don't like this Clear Lake location either. But overall this year it has gone down in service due to not having specific items in stock at times and there's no way to know if you're ordering through the app. You can say it not as reliable as it was once and every time I order I specifically ask for NO ICE and once I pick up my order. I've always had good drinks at KFT but not at this location. Was really excited there was one nearby so I went with high expectations. Ordered the oolong milk tea and honey oolong milk tea. Was very surprised when I took the first sip and it was just milk and sugar, or as it seemed. Felt bad about having them remake it and decided perhaps my taste buds were off but had my husband and a friend try it and they both agreed it lacked any oolong tea flavor. The honey oolong milk tea was the same way. However, it tasted like straight milk mixed with honey. I honestly think they forgot to put the oolong tea into our drinks??? Which at that point it's like....why did I even pay $4 for each drink??? Would NOT go back again. I frequent the Kung fu tea in Chinatown and I was so excited when they opened one closer to where I live, here in Webster. I am so sad to say that I can't be more disappointed with this location. Not only are the teas not up to par with the Chinatown Kung fu tea, they skimp so much when you ask for no ice. Usually in chinatown they fill it all the way up anyway, even when you ask for no ice. At this location they've warned me beforehand and I understand that there might be less liquid when you ask for no ice, but (see attached photo) this is just ridiculous. I was literally here ten minutes ago and ordered two drinks with less ice. The girl who did my drinks did not pay attention to the stickers and made with regular ice and literally give the WORST attitude and said " so you want me to remake it? " when I asked about the ice. How can I not visit the most popular boba shop in the whole country? Especially since it just opened and is the first in Houston! I've always been a big fan of KFT up in the Northeast, where this chain is booming. Upon hearing it is opening in the week of my visit to Houston, I had to make sure this place is on my checklist to go to. I came on Saturday before lunch and the place already had a line (~7-8 people). There is a row of benches in the hallway towards the back, as well as tables and seats in the main cafe area towards the entrance. Although the wait for our orders took about 15-20 minutes from beginning to end, I felt it was typical of this place. I ordered the sunshine pineapple as my usual go to. The boba is consistent with what I'm used to getting from KFTs in Boston. They did not get tough or crunchy after an hour. The flavors were also consistent. I hope this place has continued success; the Clear Lake area desperately needs it!!! read more

Edit: Though I'm glad it's such a convenient location for me, there are several reasons why I'm changing my ratings. I have gone multiple times and every time I get a drink, there is a noticeable empty space on the cup. No matter what drink or size of drink I get, that's always a problem. Second, toppings seem to be quiet limited. I usually go with tapioca and I notice it's always about half of what I get in the other locations. KFT isn't the cheapest bubble tea place, so I believe they should at least provide the customers with what other locations (bellaire, Montrose) do, which is a fuller cup with a generous amount of toppings. I have been to over fifteen Kung Fu Tea locations, and none have ever had as poor of service or product as this one. The staff is consistently rude. Today, my entire drink (a Kung Fu Milk Tea) was almost filled up with ice. I asked if they could remake my drink (the ice was seriously 75% of the large cup) and the response was, "We filled your drink up with more ice because we were running out of black tea." Instead of being forward with me, they attempted to hide their mishap by giving me insane amounts of ice and charging me the same price. I'd have happily picked another drink, but my only option was to take it or leave it after the fact. I'm the idiot for giving this place a chance over and over again. Good riddance. read more

Dear the girl that made my drinks today. I do not understand why you had an attitude with me when i was ordering. Maybe i look likes the guy who pissed you off. Maybe you were having a bad day. At that point you probably thought i was rushing you guys which make you look at me and was like "Can you give us a second? Your drinks is coming out." The teas we got (peach oolong and green tea - both with boba) were very tasty. The lower rating came from the somewhat confused staff. I am a relative newbie to kung fu tea and have only been a handful of times. I ordered a large honey tea with low sugar. When they guy made my drinks, I noticed mine was awfully light colored and it was a medium. I told him I had ordered a large and he made it again, no problem - but he only put boba and water in it. I watched him and asked if there was tea in my drink and he said no - that the honey tea was only water. Wait - what?? I was super confused. I told the guy I was sorry, but when I ordered "tea" I expected to get tea. He said "Oh you need to specify if you want green or black or oolong." Soooo - instead of asking me what tea I wanted in my honey tea, you just gave me water cuz I didn't say anything?? What sane person would order honey tea and expect water??? Anyways, he remade the drink with green tea and did not charge me for the remake so that was cool. Third time here. Trying to work my way through the menu. I enjoy milk tea and see myself working through the milk tea's first before trying something without tapioca. There is also a section on the menu called the "MILK STRIKE" that says is a perfect pick me up for a morning routine. Guessing it has coffee added in the milk tea. This is the real deal for Boba on the southeast side of Houston. As good as it gets! They just recently opened and my family is here 2-3 times a week. Finally, a Kung Fu Tea in my area. I fell in love with this place in San Antonio and yearned for a new place close to home. -Atmosphere- 3/5 The place is really small. Almost TOO small. The building that they got used to be a Cricket Wireless shop. There's really only enough space for two or three groups of friends to gather there. The shop itself always smells clean when I go there. The aesthetic of Kung Fu Tea is great. I like the minimalist design and wall decals. -Service- 5/5 The staff is really cool! I've befriended a few of them and they only have positive things to say about their job. A few of them used to work at The Teahouse, but after the temporary closure, they migrated to KFT. They like it a LOT better. They're all pretty friendly and give actual recommendations based on their own likes! -Drinks- 5/5 So far, I haven't really been let down by any of the drinks I've had. Then again, I've made sure to stay away from certain flavors such as passion fruit and strawberry. The quality of the drinks has been pretty consistent overall.
