He showed up exactly on time, explained their whole process to make sure I understood the scope of what needed to be done, and made sure to answer all of my questions, including some I thought of after he left. Their quote was on the lower end of the spectrum, but with an excellent warranty and references. We did end up with a $6k change-order for additional [hidden] damage that was not easily detectible during the initial inspection, but it was not surprising, as the roof had not been replace in well over 20 years and there were noticeable soft spots when walking on the roof due to rotten plywood under the shingles. Even with the change-order, the total cost was extremely reasonable, and came in under my projected budget. The work crew arrived promptly on day one and introduced themselves and apologized that it was going to be noisy/messy for the next few days. Every day, they cleaned up the trash very thoroughly and magnet rolled to make sure nothing was left behind. This was a big concern for me as I have two dogs that I don't want stepping on or eating debris. I was originally quoted 5-7 days for the entire project, and they finished in 4. The roof looks amazing. I would definitely recommend them, and if we decide to add solar in the future, we will go straight to them because the company has been phenomenal to work with.

Another reason we chose Sandoval, is because they stuck to what they do best (roofing), and partnered with a small, really knowledgeable, solar company that they worked closely with, who reinstalled our solar panels better than they had been. Angel said he had been with the company for more than 30 years and it showed. He sure knows a lot about roofs and gave me honest recommendations. He told me the roof still had good life especially after repair, while another roofer wanted me to reroof entirely. He also gave me plenty of useful maintenance tips. The office took some time to find a good slate tile match. The tiles they found fit perfectly onto the roof. The new tiles can barely be distinguished. If I were to speak of any improvement, the replaced fascia and downspout weren't color matched with the rest of the house. I wasn't told this when I signed up for the work. Angel told me this was standard practice. He would've painted it if I had the paint but they don't do color match. Something to keep in mind of for the future but I felt it'd be harsh to take off a star from the review for this. I noticed a single tile was missed during the repair. One of their guys came over the next day and fixed it. It was an expensive repair but price was on the fair price end. Urbach roofing wasn't the lowest bid. Someone from my neighborhood recommended them so we gave them the job. Overall we're happy with the result and feel assured that we have a trusted roofer now.

We hired Kintter to help us w/roofing needs for an addition. Our contractor has worked w/them for…read moreyears and recommended them higly to us. We now know why - they are a top-notch, well run family business, and really know how to take care of a customer. Five stars easily. Their work included several areas: 1) Roofing the new addition; 2) Removing/replacing tiles in the areas where the new addtion roof would tie in to the existing roof; 3) Fixing numerous issues w/tile around our solar panels on our roof - issues courtesy of Tesla Solar personnel who clearly had zero training in the tile work required for messing w/people's roofs; and 4) Fixing some of our roof valleys that were getting congested w/leaves and pine needles from our trees. They provided a clear and complete estimate, and their pricing was just under the other roofing companies we talked to. Based on my brother's recommendation and their estimate we decided to move forward w/Knitter. Throughout the project they operated in a professional and friendly manner. They showed up on time, did excellent work, coordinated their work w/other activities on the project, and their crew was conscientous and personable. One of the challenging issues was that the tile we have is a particularly "rare" tile design and finding something that matched with it wasn't easy. Mike Knitter and Javier went out of their way to get us additional samples and options, and we ended up getting an excellent match that blended well w/our original tiles. They also helped us by placing the newer tiles in an areas of the roof that were less visible from the common areas of the back yard. We also had two solatubes installed. Knitter's team discovered issues w/the way in which the Solatubes had been integrated w/the roof tiles that could have caused problems, and adjusted the installation. Knitter also provided information and pictures of the errors and broken tiles that the Tesla Solar installers had left behind in their work, and corrected those issues as a part of their work. From start to finish just an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
