I have previously ordered from another Chinese restaurant that ignores my requests to make the Singapore Rice Noodles without any meat and substitute bean curd. They made my order exactly to specification and it was very flavorful and delicious. I also had the Crab Rangoon and they were very good too. I also liked that this place is generous with sauces. This was my go-go after moving away from China Fortune in Ranson. Great Wall was recommended by my neighbors. The first few times, compared to China Fortune, it tasted great. Today, not feeling well, I figured I'd order some comfort food from Great Wall and hunker down. The order? BBQ Ribs (bone-in), Orange Shrimp, one eggroll, steamed dumplings, house lomain. - Ribs? Awesome. - Egg roll: Total grease and soggy - Lomain: What's the opposite of al dente? Mushy? That's the one. Terrible. - Shrimp? The sauce was fine (probably not homemade). Shrimp left a fishy taste in my mouth, and it wasn't 'light batter' like the menu said, rather heavy, soggy. Terrible. The day I felt like shit and just wanted comfort food with some leftovers. Ordered Singapore Rice Noodles w/ Curry, Steamed Dumplings, & Shrimp Toast at noon for lunch. It was ready on time and the lady at the counter was very friendly. The Singapore noodles had an abundance of meat, shrimp, & vegetables and tasted fine ... except that I couldn't detect much curry or other hot spice. The steamed dumplings were okay, but could have been steamed a bit longer. The shrimp toast was odd & inedible. When I get shrimp toast, I expect triangles of toast with minced shrimp incorporated into them. This was some kind of bread wrapped around chunks of shrimp that had begun to spoil. Totally unacceptable. I probably should only give them two stars, but they were quick & friendly ... and the main dish was very good (if somewhat underseasoned). read more

If it is take out you want then you are in luck great food not cheap but very good. However I made the mistake of taking my wife there to dine in since the nice lady suggested it. What a mistake she wasn't there and the fellow behind the counter was not too happy we were there for dine in! I thought I ordered cream cheese wontons but ended up with a hard wonton with a small piece of beef in the middle. That's my fault for not clarifying but they were so hard you couldn't eat them. Used to be a good place to eat. Daughter ordered Orange Chicken, turned out and tasted more like Orange Pork. No chicken found. I ordered Mongolian Beef, it was inedible. I specifically ordered this dish because in the last 15 years I have never seen Mongolian Beef made with onions. Green oníons, yes, not regular onions. Which I have a dietary allergy to. Holy crap!!! I am SO IMPRESSED with this place!!!!! First of all, it's clean, like eat off the floor clean. The kitchen is open, all the cooks are working quickly and efficiently and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu is ultra vegan friendly with ultra fair prices and the portions are huge. They have house mustard!!!!!!! The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and the veggies are crunchy every time!!!! I don't know what happened to this place. Used to be great then became okay now it's bad. Ordered online Tuesday, designated 4:45 pick time got there at 4:40, (its 7 miles away). Got back home 7 minutes, food was room temperature at best. Okay no problem for microwave, if that had been the only issue, everything tasted OLD, crab Rangoon, egg rolls & jumbo shrimp were hard & nasty, nope didn't microwave those 3 items. Fried rice was disgusting, rice very hard salty. Items saying spicy had no spice at all. I don't normally give bad reviews but that was below unacceptable. Cheap. Tasty. Better for takeout. Visited Great Wall at about 5pm today. We ordered take out and then just waited about 5-10 minutes in the lobby for it to get done. When you walk in, the front of the store is kind of cluttered, and not extremely clean. I'm pretty sure a saw a few noodles on the floor. They have a very small dining room, with maybe about 10 tables. It smells like greasy Chinese food inside, and I can't say that I'd like to eat here. We ordered the Saigon Rice Noodles, and General So's Chicken. Both were very tasty, and there was plenty to feed three adults and then some. I would defiantly order this again. I was close to giving Great Wall 4 stars because of the tasty food, but because of the disorder, uncleanliness, and broken signs, it dropped to 3. read more

This is the Great Wall in Charles Town WV. The food is pretty good, but I've only had the sesame tofu and egg foo yung. It isn't a restaurant for eating in - very cramped. The staff sit in the dining area and work: food prep, etc., so that is off-putting. read more
